Also Piper commentating that Mountie match like he didn’t just commentate a Mountie match at Rumble 91. But I guess 1991 Roddy Piper could have a shitty short term memory. And also the Superstars match commentary could have been recorded first.

Piper at Rumble 91 also talking about knowing how the real Mounties weren’t like the WWF Mountie. Wonder if he realized that was dropping too many hints that he was Canadian.

I love that Canada apparently has a) no roads and b) random roving Mounties on horseback in the vast Canadian wilderness, which is all that exists outside of Toronto/Hamilton.

Does Canada have their version of "View of the World from Ninth Avenue?" Maybe it'd be "View of the World from Yonge Street."

considering that it's easier to get from Winnipeg to Kansas City than from Winnipeg to Toronto, I can believe that some parts of Canada certainly don't have roads

granted i'm sure those Mountie vignettes were probably filmed in Connecticut

I'm sure by 91 Piper's short term memory is shot. Coke tends to have that effect.

This could go elsewhere but more eyes will see it here, the Creed Brothers have been named for the next Bloodsport event.

As much as anytime WWE gets involved with an indie it worries me, I really hope that these events can remain neutral ground. Huge nod a respect from all companies to Josh Barnett.

Their are probably some negatives that could be found in all this inter promotional stuff but wrestling has been so closed off and up its own ass for so long I just hope people will appreciate this stuff now because it won’t last forever.

I have a tinfoil hat theory on the whole thing that I won't bore everyone with, but long story short, I think this is a mechanism to undercut stuff like the NWA/CW deal or ROH possibly getting TV soon. Think something similar to when they started NXT UK just to get ahead of the WOS reboot, or showing EVOLVE on the old Network against AEW DoN I.

Barnett is an interesting cat in that if someone told him, "hey, don't do a match with Moxley cause he works for the competition and we won't send Shayna and the other folks anymore", he would definitely tell them to fuck off. That's been Josh Barnett for the last 25 years. The man ruined his own damn MMA career cause he refused to listen to people. He isn't the guy you make pick and choose, which is an interesting situation for them.

Gable vs Moxley in a worked shoot for Bloodsport, what finish do you pick to get out of doing a finish

Mox bleeds out. Obvious one.

Lol, Gable should be the one walking off in embarrassment.  He’s a former Olympian.  Now he’s cowering in fear of dry ice and rubber masks.

Are WWE seriously trying to colonise GCW? Because I'm not sure what there is that GCW is doing that WWE would want. They aren't bringing the light tube deathmatches in, are they? So what else does GCW have as a unique selling point? It's pretty much just Thrussy. Are they seriously going to sign Effy, Allie Katch and Dark Sheikh, and then let them wrestle the way they do? I don't see it.

They already tried to do the Incorporate and Assimilate thing they do to the Bloodsport style, only that NXT Underground match absolutely stank. It was Wardlow vs Hager "MMA rules" level bad.

They're going to bring back that mixed tag show and have Maki Death Kill win the whole thing.

With all the married wrestlers, might as well do it again.

I dunno, he won the last one despite losing nearly every drop, is it even possible? 😄

You know who is willing to find out? Jon Moxley.

I think it is less a GCW thing and more a Bloodsport deal. Seemingly HHH and Barnett know each other to a degree and I think it comes down to Hunter seeing no harm in it/getting some of the younger less experienced workers some more reps in a different environment. I think the letting people work in Japan deal has some ulterior motives while this is actually just what it is.
