jaedmc
I generally don't bet against Izzy, and I think tonight he gets it done. After that press conference his back is kind of against the wall to finish this shit. But I've also nearly always bet against DDP and he manages to surprise everyone. It's an irresistible force paradox.
jaedmc
Boy if you want to see a guy with great energy and talent, but bad fight IQ, blow a fight, then check out Culibao vs. Ramos. Culibao lost the first because he fell down rushing in for a potential finish. Won the second round, but could have perhaps finished the fight if he just let the guy stand up. Ramos' leg was clearly compromised at this point. Did Culibao even touch it in the third? No of course not. But he did get taken down at the end to lose the round. Just infuriating stuff. jaedmc
30-27 Tuivasa! One judge needs to give his keys to a designated driver.

jaedmc
I honestly thought there had to be some kind of "clerical error" but they apparently just fired that judge. Hooker/Gamrot did not disappoint. Will probably be fight of the night.

One of the worst scorecards ever, 30-27 Tuivasa. All 15 media scores on mmadecisions.com: 30-27 Rozenstruik.

jaedmc
Wowzers. Great fight, better than expected actually. Was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Dricus is undeniable now.

The Natural
I wish more fighters rip to the body like Israel Adesanya did. Remember Stipe Miocic doing that leading to him finishing Daniel Cormier in their second fight. Jose Aldo is great with the body punches. The Natural
Dricus Du Plessis vs. Israel Adesanya judges scorecards: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GVPULMBWgAAP31M?format=jpg&name=large I had it same as Charlie Keech. R1 and R2 DDP, R3 Adesanya. Edited August 18 by The Natural
waffle
Izzy is lucky that middleweight hasn't had a true wrestler his entire run. DDP was getting torn apart in that 4th too, great finish from him. 30-27 Tui is one of the worst cards in MMA history.
Lawful Metal
DDP is just stupid. Nothing about how he fights makes any sense. Does seemingly do everything wrong. But still wins. Wild. Kinda reminds me in spirit of Ricardo Mayorga.
twiztor
skipped the prelims. i am suffering from some pretty major UFC burnout. Haven't gotten hyped for a card since 300, and even though some of the next few PPV cards look good, i just don't feel that excitement for them. I think i'll take a break for a while. Anyway, main card delivered: Prates looked damn good and just picked the Leech apart. i see good things for this dude. yeah WTF to that one judge that gave Tuivasa a clean sweep GTFO with that nonsense. Hooker/Gamrot awesome fight. Hooker/Gaethje sounds good to me. KKF acing Erceg was unexpected. goddamn. main event was pretty good. DDP reminds me of Keith Jardine in his movement because it looks like it shouldn't work but it does. His high kicks look labored and sloppy but somehow are neither of those things. I was just getting lulled into thinking Izzy had tired out Dricus and was going to pick him apart and earn a UD victory. BAM! Uno Reverse Card! great win for DDP and absolutely secures his place at the top. I know Strickland is angling for a rematch, and it doesn't do much for me but i suppose it is the most logical matchup.

Elsalvajeloco
GM3 vs. Edmen Shahbazyan played out how you would expect that fight to go. Edmen dominates early, gets tired, and then gets submitted. Michael Morales finishing Neil Magny in the first round is probably going to get him a bigger name opponent soon.
jaedmc
Angela Hill and Tabitha Ricci just went pedal to the metal for 15 minutes in a very close and fairly entertaining fight.
