Brandon-E
I once asked a friend of mine what Bret Hart thinks of Vince Russo and this was their response "I doubt he's very fond of him, considering he booked the gimmick that killed Owen."

Yes, it's awesome, and yes, it usually means you're getting a Brad Armstrong match (which is typically great). On the downside, though, it MAY mean you're getting a Scott & Steve Armstrong match, since they used that theme too, and wow did they stink in late-era WCW. I saw them win a tag match at a Nitro in Fargo, North Dakota. It was almost as good as the kid sitting behind us booing Goldberg. to his father's horror.

I thought I heard that CYN died because whoever was funding EC3 either got fleeced or pulled the rug out from everyone and made off like a bandit. Either way, Braun is back in WWE, so their prize pig is gone.

They think everyone secretly agrees with them, and only pretends not to (except the conspiracy-minded ones who think they know a secret truth that other people can't see, and will try to 'save' you). If you ever let someone who is a baked-in racist/ homophobe/ transphobe/ whatever maintain a conversation for a decent while, sooner or later they can't resist stopping speaking in allusions and going to the "I'm just saying what we're all thinking". It's why the transphobes constantly try to colonise the word "normal". Because they don't accept that their views put them at odds with the majority of society.

So between thar and NWA itself, there's still a place for the guys that can't help themselves to go.
Brandon-E
I think Don Frye could have been a huge star in the US going up against Austin in WWF or Goldberg in WCW.
Kevin Wilson
6 minutes ago, Brandon-E said: I think Don Frye could have been a huge star in the US going up against Austin in WWF or Goldberg in WCW. Frye was really good at a certain style but overall I don't think he was a good enough pro wrestler to put on consistent high quality WWE style matches. Probably work for a program but unless he went all-in on wrestling training I think he would have had trouble keeping up with the Austins/HHHs of the world. Course, he was better than Goldberg (low bar) but Goldberg/Frye sounds like a trainwreck unless it was a sub-10 minute strike-based fight. Which admittedly may have been a lot of fun in 1998. That said, she'd have to have proved that she was clean and sober and had put her past issues behind her. Had she done so, I could've seen her big comeback being the Manhattan Center Raw from 7-8 years ago. Would've been fun to have had her being a coach in NXT. Those are two very different things. In particular, once she started working in porn I think it would have been impossible even if she cleaned up completely. After the sex tape she could have come back, but after the She-Hulk porn? She'd have been radioactive at peak PG. ETA: sex work is work and the stigma sucks, but she wouldn't have even gotten a callback if Mattel had a say.
