Hail Sabin Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 When Sheamus is chasing Ludwig backstage you can see Bliss very quickly as an easter egg last night backstage. 3

For the top two brands. They're not led either. NXT tv shows and the two main brands house shows already use thinner ring poles. That's because of the cage, it doesn't fit around the LED posts. They didn't have them on Smackdown and the PLE because they don't bring them overseas, Backlash in France didn't have them either.
hammerva Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Just hand HBK the 2024 Booker of the year award over Meltzer after tonight
Raziel Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Cool, one more promotion to Bomb out after a superior wrestler fails to carry his ass, and he gets a free Sandwich from Subway.
For Great Justice Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 What a fun show. While the Grace reveal was awesome…not sure about Page. Especially after already getting Spears. Like who’s next, QT? But it’s all fun. I love how the rules/physics of WWE as we understand them are relaxed in NXT. It’s fun.
Cliff Hanger Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Well that was a wild 2 hrs. Out of order as always: 1) the Jordynne Grace reveal was beautifully handled. I fully expected the mystery foe to be a letdown. 2) hey, Eddy Thorpe is coming back to main NXT. I wonder if he'll have a short feud with someone who's a dick about indigenous culture and then have an Underground match with them before going back to LVLUP. I kind of like him, but it's hard to care about him given the feuds with Kemp and Dijak were both short and ended with him going back to the B-show after. 3) THANK GOD Sinclair got new gear. I would have liked to see her and Jordan get another couple minutes. 4) Iron Mouse was right about Michin beating Paxley, and I was wrong. 5) man, they really seem to have cooled on Osborne. At the start of the year he seemed to be on the way up, but now he's Chase U's dedicated jobber. 6) oh lord they're gonna make Briggs into Shawn Spears's sidekick. 7) I haven't seen much Ethan Page, but I was kinda hoping for a Trick/Noam rematch with some stips. 8: I want the capes to get a clean win on the Good Bros. and there to be no third chance. 9) is Dante/Lexis leading toward an Underground or submission or LMS match so Dante can't beat King by reversal pin.
username Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 The end of show timing for Raw's has been unusually bad for a bit over a month now, I don't know if they got someone new doing the job or what but I feel every main event Gunther match in the KOTR was him grabbing a quick sub 20 seconds before the show ends and now with the Dom/Liv miscue... gotta do better. Becky has very clearly been in wrapping things up mode for the better part of a year now, I'd be shocked silly if she wrestles elsewhere (I honestly think she'd probably retire first) but I wouldn't be shocked if she's gone for a longer stretch of time than people anticipate.

Like who’s next, QT? Not sure if you’re in on this joke or not, but QT absolutely tried to get on at WWE when he left AEW last year. And, well, he rather unceremoniously returned to working backstage at AEW a few months later. So, yes, it seems there is a line WWE won’t cross when it comes to signing AEW talent. And that line is QT. 4
DreamBroken Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Cool unexpected surprise with Jordynne vs. Roxanne, that should be a hell of a match. Ethan made for a nice surprise ending as well. Sad for Stevie Turner finally returning to the main show just to be Jordynne's first victim though. I had high hopes for Stevie's initial push coming over from UK but then she's pretty much done nothing but Lvl Up shows for over a year.
Eivion Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Tatum/Yim was pretty solid though the wrong woman won. Not sure why they are so afraid to move forward with Tatum. She has finally grown in the ring and as a character and really should not have missed the upcoming PLE for a main roster talent. Then again Jaida Parker, who is in, has no real business on the show either. Ridge/Riley was solid. Still not sure where they are going with this though I do enjoy how Chase U continues to be one of the most ridiculous things in NXT yet somehow more grounded than emotionally than the rest of the show. Good Brothers vs. Blade/Enofe was fine. Jordynne Grace being revealed as Roxanne's challenger was a welcome surprise. She had just barely crossed my mind at one point, but last week's segments made me think another main roster talent like Chelsea Green. Its good to see Michaels getting his wish in occasionally using talent from elsewhere. Thought the overall segment and reveal was good. I also dug the later segment with Stevie Turner sicking her foot in her mouth and getting the match with Grace. Lola/Arianna was short but fun. As was the earlier segment to set the match up. Arianna continues to be a minor highlight each week she appears. Lexis/Chen was short but a nice follow up on the build they did early with a pissed off King calling the first victory a fluke. The post match beatdown was decent. this feels like it could be a decent feud for both guys. Jordan/Sinclair was a nice athletic showcase for both women. the new gear on both women was nice to see. Dug Spears backstage interview. I like the idea of him gathering talent to mentor and probably corrupt. It felt like they were aiming in that direction with Ridge but never pulled the trigger for whatever reason. Trick/Evans vs. the Coffeys was solid. The post match attack by Ethan Page was neat. Page doesn't interest me much, but I kind of dug how they built up his debut with the attacks on MetaFour the past few weeks and big reveal here. No standout matches though nothing bad either. The segments were generally decent-solid with that Grace/Perez segment easily standing out among the rest both for the surprise and quality. Pretty decent show. 1
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Pretty fun show from what I saw. NXT is probably the best option for Page right now. I'm higher on him than a lot of people here it seems. Some of that is probably from enjoying his Vlogs but I think if he gets a real chance to show personality he will be okay. He'd get lost in the shuffle on the main roster. Grace coming in is cool. Should be a good match for Perez. It'll be interesting to see the finish. 1
hammerva Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 (edited) With Sexyy Red and Lola Vice on the same show, Booker T bumps card was almost used all up before the show to get ready. Speaking of ridiculous things in NXT, what in the world is the idea with Blade/Enofe and this losing streak? Is the idea that Brinley is so aggressively positive that it is actually causing bad luck Edited May 29, 2024 by hammerva 1
NikoBaltimore Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 I skipped everything that had that fake rapper on screen though enjoyed the show. Arianna cursing after Lola's challenge was very amusing and it led to a fun squash. The reaction for Grace warmed my heart. She's the heart and soul of TNA and it felt great seeing the love she was getting. I'm also really high on Page and am incredibly happy for him. I know some feel he has that "And then the bell rang" issue so going right into a title match will show if that holds up or not. Him being a tad psychotic is the right way to start it as he can always go face later on. 2
Jamal Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Jordynne was definitely my Holy Shit moment of the night lol looking forward to her vs Roxanne. The NA women's match has a nice set of potential winners. I'm curious to see who will ultimately take it. You can tell Sexyy was having the time of her life. I live. 3
caley Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 (edited) I GREATLY enjoyed Vic and Booker during Pages debut: "That's Ethan Page! But isn't he in AE-" "Whoooooah!" By the way, Book's "remixing" (?!) over Trick's theme is the dumbest, greatest, goofiest and oddly endearing thing in NXT Edited May 29, 2024 by caley 3 1
Curt McGirt Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Jordynne and Ethan? Yeah that might get me to watch again. 2
HarryArchieGus Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 (edited) Ethan Page is potentially a far better fit in WWE. His in ring style matches the company's. He could also excel with a bit more hands on creative. AEW's a bit more sink or swim on what you bring forth. In that environment he hit his ceiling. They knew it following a) the contender's tournament for a shot at MJF and b) the Hamilton Collision match. I thought he did well at both, but it indicated he wasn't moving up the card. In WWE he'll avoid being a vlogger, a huge positive, and will likely get a safer finish. One that his opponents might be okay with taking. The launching Razor's Edge always seemed like a bad idea for Ethan. I'm as interested in his run here as much as I was Jade or Cody. How's Pillman doing? Edited May 30, 2024 by HarryArchieGus 1
