Dolfan in NYC Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 You say you stand, by your man! So tell me something, I just don't understand... Well, we have a new King and Queen of the Ring, but there's basically no time to even breathe there because we're already three weeks away from Clash! You said you love me and that's a fact, Then you left me, said you felt trapped... AND we have a new Women's World Champion, thanks to help(?) from Dirty Dom! Congrats Liv Morgan! Please beat Becky in the rematch tonight! Otherwise, everyone will say you... Hope you've had a good Memorial Day weekend! 3
blitzkrieg Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 Announced for Raw tonight: Steel Cage Women's World Championship Rematch: Liv vs. Becky Braun Strowman vs. J.D. Do have to figure that with the KOTR/QOTR being over that there might be some tv time for some of the draftees that haven't really gotten much time the last few weeks.
Dolfan in NYC Posted May 28, 2024 Author Posted May 28, 2024 I am going to enjoy seeing Judgement Day shatter into a million pieces when JD and Dom figure out Liv is banging them both. Good for her! I'm going to assume Carlito is going to try to warn Priest next week and it will be promptly ignored as he continues to try to be Roman Reigns, and continues to fail miserably. 1

She’s hardcore; she’ll take both of them. 5
Niners Fan in CT Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 MASSIVE fuck up. Blame WWE for messing up the timing or blame USA for never giving them an overrun but they've been building this Liv "takes everything Rhea loves" angle for weeks now and we miss the kiss on USA so WWE has to quickly upload it on their Twitter. 2
Eivion Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 The opening segment with Drew, Gunther, and Priest all chatting didn't overstay its welcome and did well leading into JD/Strowman at the very end. Kind of like that all of the potential World Heavyweight people are big guys right now. JD/Strowman was pretty decent though probably twice as long as it needed to be. Ilja/Ricochet was pretty damn good once again up until the Bron destroys all ending which actually dug. Very curious to see where it leads. The Awesome Truth/New Day segment was fun. I like the idea of Kross trying lead other teams astray though I don't know if I like it with Woods. AOP/Creeds was fine though it feels like they have a good deal more to offer than what we saw here. The Sheamus/Kaiser segment/brawl was decent. Kairi/Lyra was solid. Not big on DC taking more losses though I did like the aftermath with Io pissed off backstage. Rey/Carlito was slow at times but surprisingly better than expected with Carlito actually havign some pretty neat offense. I dug the Judgement Day interference. Priest/Rey next week should be fun, and I kind of like the idea of Priest finally getting some vengeance on LWO after they helped Bad Bunny beat him last year. Otis/Bronson was nice while it lasted, but it was the post match segment that delivered. Gable was such a tremendous bastard. Just curious to see who in Alpha Academy turns first. Kind of hoping its Tozawa. Would love to see them acknowledge Tozawa's relationship with Sami via Generico. Liv/Becky had some solid moments, but the crowd was pretty muted during most of it. The finish was a neat idea though the execution could have been better. How they screwed up the timing on the post match angle I have no idea, but it should certainly lead to some interesting developments within Judgement Day. Match wise this could have been a better show. Nothing was bad, but the only real standout has a bit of an asterisk due to the finish (though I dug the angle). Angle wise I thought there was a lot of solid-good stuff here. Its nice to see so many people and feuds getting solid build. 3
HumanChessgame Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 I'd like to see more of AOP/Creeds. AOP were one of those acts I thought had a lot of untapped potential when they were released so hopefully they get more of a chance this time around. That Alpha Academy segment was some Attitude Era level cringe. It's obvious the rest of them are going to turn on Gable so it's just a matter of time before the inevitable happens. Otis and Tozowa deserve more than comedy roles. Liv Morgan has improved quite a bit but I don't see her as a main event player. Do we get another Dominick on a pole match when Rhea comes back?
Dolfan in NYC Posted May 28, 2024 Author Posted May 28, 2024 People who have apparently cracked the QR codes seem to think the following person is debuting on this date: Spoiler Uncle Howdy (formerly Bo Dallas) on June 17 Alexa may or may not be by his side.
hammerva Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 I know that Becky is technically a free agent in about 5 days but I think it is foolish to think she is going to AEW or anywhere else for that matter. I mean we know that Becky's husband will be insanely loyal to the WWE and I have to think she is the same way. My guess is that she will come back at the Royal Rumble.
NikoBaltimore Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 I noticed when Becky came out she had this look to her that indicated she might be done with WWE. She seemed to look around more almost emotionless like she was taking it all in. Granted I'm just a fool watching something from afar on TV so fuck if I know but that was the impression I got. It was also hard to get into the cage match whether it was due to the crowd or just the match not having certain type of intensity to it. As for the ending being cut off it's sometimes baffling how a lot of times they have to rush the show ending just so they can show some crappy "reality" show. With WWE being the main draw of USA it would be nice if they were allowed a bit of overrun in case things go long.
Niners Fan in CT Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Maybe Becky just wants to spend time with her child? A break would be great for her and for everyone who thinks she's gotten stale. I don't see her leaving WWE but it's not a bad thing to test free agency. Her and Mercedes are pretty close, she may inquire about AEW and maybe Khan offers her a contract. Would be shocked if she left though. 1
Curt McGirt Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 It's especially funny that they had a shocker ending that they knew they had to have airtime and still fucked it up. 2

Becky probably should leave WWE, but if she does, she needs to do something new. Because "The Man" has very much run its course. Of couse, with Mercedes doing "Sasha with a better hairstylist" I'm not sure AEW has the ability to give her a chance to freshen up. That being said, she'd be a great addition for them. But, yeah, I expect to see her again in the fall in WWE. 3

I think they either bring her back on the premiere of Smackdown on USA in September or the first Netflix Raw in January. Unless she’s taking time off to give the little one a sibling. In that case good for her and Seth. They both seem like great parents. 1
Curt McGirt Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 I think it's Mercedes that wants to keep the gimmick. Tony is said to do what the talent wants so if Becky wanted to switch up I bet she could. Shayna wearing a Bolt Thrower shirt for Memorial Day was *chef's kiss*
NikoBaltimore Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 I believe I saw some discussion about her either one day either not being full time anymore or even retiring. I don't know how likely that is but when reading about the contract expiring that was my first thought. I mean if she did consider AEW that would be an easier schedule but I think that would be less likely to happen.
Eivion Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Pretty sure Becky takes a break to be with her daughter regardless of what decision she makes about wrestling. I don't think she has anything left to prove so it is more a question of whether or not there is something interesting out there for her to do. AEW has potential, but I think she is more loyal to WWE. Beyond that her husband and most of her wrestling friends are there. I would kind of like to see her hit Japan though I don't think she has shown any interest there. 2
Jamal Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Honestly, a break is much deserved for Becky. She's been working her ass off for years now. I can only imagine that she's looking forward to some family time. I can't believe they messed up that post main event angle lol I knew something was up with how Liv and Dom were eying each other and then nothing. lol With his reaction to her though, I wonder if it will be less she aligns with him and more of manipulating him and JD to destroy them from within. Either way, the storyline when Rhea gets back should be gold. I am intrigued by pissed off Iyo. I need DC to get back to their menacing selves. Liked Lyra continuing to sell the injuries from her Queen of the Ring match because who wouldn't after getting squashed like a bug? lol 3

Randy and Bianca basically sold all the way through the PLE knee injuries that they suffered in the first round of the tourneys.
DragonZombie Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 (edited) I'm not sure if the changes will stick, but it seems WWE reverted back to the thinner ring poles. For the top two brands. They're not led either. NXT tv shows and the two main brands house shows already use thinner ring poles. Edited May 28, 2024 by dragonzombie 1
