I can't wait for Tom Cruise to do Far And Away 2 with Nicole Kidman or A Few More Good Men with a different aging actor (Harrison Ford, Mads MIkkelsen, I don't care). Maybe Cocktail 2. Or Losin' It 2.

I saw the first MI when it came out, and then just didn't watch any of them. This past year, my son and I have watched them all. Just an amazing series of movies of the kind I wish we got more of.

I got serious chills on the new trailer from that shot of Cruise hanging off the yellow biplane. Damn.

Him getting locked up and just walking out of jail, getting caught and agreeing to enlist in the Navy only to go AWOL, then going to Canada starting a band with Neil Young, getting signed to Motown only for them to say, "wait, we can't put your record out, you're supposed to be in jail," and all types of other shit.  He essentially walked the earth like Caine from Kung Fu, except he's crazy ass Rick James.  There is endless string of shit that could be a movie in that book, before you get to the crazy drug-fueled shit that essentially ended his career.

That's probably why it would be criminal to try to make it a two or two and a half hour movie.

As for why it never happened, I could sworn it was on the list of the many biopics that were suppose to happen over the last ten or fifteen years and probably went into development hell. Either that or it has something to do with Rick's estate. Hell...Richard Pryor, who likely would end up as a minor character in a Rick James biopic, died back in 2005. They started working on his biopic right after his passing. It's been 20 years, and we're still waiting on it.

...so Rocky's definitely pinning Cody in April.

I'll be seeing this movie this weekend although I'm not sure if I should be drunk or see it in IMAX whichever is less painful.

Dwayne’s probably the only A lister who has anything in common with destitute Amazon warehouse workers. They both look at the bitter fruits of their labor and ask, “I piss in a water bottle every day for this?”

Truly the People’s Champion.

I remember seeing Chris Evans be awesome in Knives Out and being so glad he was going to get away from Marvel and start making some awesome movies. So far, little disappointed.

Back in Action

Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz inheriting the title of "totally believable CIA assassin" from Angelina and Charlize.

I still want to watch it though.

There needs to be a third Charlie's Angels with Drew Barrymore, Diaz, and Lucy Liu (bring back Bill Murray too). Have it take it's inspiration from Skyfall, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and The Spy Who Came In From The Cold. Maybe Robert Altman's The Long Goodbye too. Have it show a seriousness to the characters as they are no longer young but with more verbal humor.

Pam Anderson is gonna pull a full-on Mickey Rourke, isn't she? That's gonna be a 'double bill with The Wrestler'-worthy.

Also, seeing Big Dave looking like that officially makes him the character actor we didn't know we needed but now we got.

Reminds me to The Terminator being the role Arnold was born to play
