Like, everything is off by a shade of lighting or uncanniness. Nothing blends the way it would in real life. And it will obviously make a billion dollars. It's funny when the 2019 Lion King is referred to as "live action" when it's pretty much as animated as the original.

Andrew POE!
I'm there for Megalopolis. I don't care if I have to fly to NY/LA or paid $30 for a ticket.
Curt McGirt
If they spent that much money on it and it stars Kylo Ren then why do they have a problem going wide with it. I read the comments from the peanut gallery of execs that watched it. They have no brains.

I read the comments from the peanut gallery of execs that watched it. They have no brains. The execs that watched it grossly underestimate the intelligence of their audiences. This is what is playing at cinemas right now: - Crappily done horror movie about tarot cards - the latest Godzilla/Kong movie - religious indoctrination movie about a piece of shit music producer father coming to America - once successful movie franchise that mines nostalgia - big budget action movie that mines nostalgia for a TV show Anything different is quickly getting cycled out of the theater (like Challengers or Monkey Man) In a better world, I Saw The TV Glow, The Beast and Evil Does Not Exist would be selling out theaters and execs would be more open to Megalopolis being in movie theaters.
odessasteps
We did just have an amazing film nominally part of a franchise (Godzilla minus one), a rare snowflake.

Curt McGirt
That brings up the question of which characters in cinema secretely are chronic masturbators. Any guesses?
odessasteps
Humbert Humbert. Or would that not be a secret? charles Foster Kane, of course.
