I've started playing through the Sly Cooper games now that they're on PS5. You've got to understand, there was a very long period of time between the PS1 era and PS4 where the only game I really played was the latest iteration of Fire Pro, so I missed a TON.

These games have aged amazingly well, and after truly enjoying getting the plat in Sly 1, I'm on to 2 with a whole bunch of excitement.

Off the top of my head, maybe just Thousand Year Door, Ghost of Tsushima and Grim Fandango. I never finished the 2nd Horizonn game I don't think.

Most of my game pLaying was No Man's Sky, MLB the show, balatro, tetris on switch and Xbox and now IndianaJones.

My family loved the Sly Cooper games. I wish there were comics and cartoons of stuff from that universe. Really some of the most endearing characters in a video game.

There was gonna be a Sly movie after Ratchet and Clank IIRC, and then of course Ratchet bombed.

Games i beat this year, let's see. Like a Dragon: Man Who Erased His Name, Astro Bot, Mega Man 1-3 (Genesis version in Wily Wars), WWE 2K24 (the Rise modes are about 15 hrs each, so I'd argue that finishing them and Showcase counts)....not nearly enough. I expect to beat the Mario vs Donkey Kong remake at work, since i will be stuck telling callers that our core system is down and we can't look up their account so please call back Thursday. I did way too much "zombie" gaming (playing WWE or PinballFX or MK1 with a podcast on instead of the sound) and not nearly enough intentional, "I'm going to play this and savor it" gaming. I'm stil barely in the back half of Infinite Wealth, for God's sake, because too much of my time with it went to grinding jobs and minigames in zombie mode.

Games I finished in 2024!

Alan Wake Remastered

Alan Wake 2

Gris

Tunic

I Am Dead

Doom 2016

Dredge

Unpacking

Doki Doki Literature Club

Dead Space Remake

Astro Bot

Call Of The Sea

Sly Cooper & the Thievius Raccoonus

All PS4/PS5, some doubles on both systems, and all but Doom and Dead Space were platinumed. Really enjoyed pretty much all of it and I am forever stoked to live in an era where you can basically only play great games.

Forgot about Dead Space.

My finish list is...

Erm...

Uh...

Telling Lies? That might be it. Then again, the year has been so unbearably long that maybe I beat Deathloop, too. So much Skyrim, so much Witcher 3...

I’ve put 423 hours and counting into the First Descendant since July, does that count for anything other than not having a life? Please clap.

*starts slow clap that builds into an intense standing ovation*  I'd say you got more than your money's worth on that one.

I had Balatro on PC and while fun it didn't suck me in like it did others.  Then I got it the Saturday before Christmas while waiting at a Hallmark and it was at that point it all came together.  It's the perfect thing for me to use while either stuck in line or watching a video/show my wife put on that isn't doing it for me.

As for Steam only thing I got so far from the sale was Helldivers 2.  Which is odd since I don't have friends that play it so it'd be all random people but why the hell not.

You have divers on here who play it, although a bunch of my close my friends and me have been playing a ton of PoE2 lately. Some of them have tried to lure me back to diving, but I'm still on a break from it while I try to do some more stuff in PoE2.
