2013-2014 NCAA FOOTBALL OFFSEASON

The internet is on fire tonight with reports that Braxton Miller has seriously injured his shoulder and could be out for the year.

Strike one national title contender, if that's the case.

There's still a strong possibility that tOSU will be undefeated heading into the B1G championship game.

Their schedule is still one of the more laughable things in college football.

Without Miller, I don't think they're as good as Sparty, who they meet on 9 November.

Michigan State should probably be considered the B1G favorites at this point.

It's confirmed: Miller DOWN.

OSU is too talented and their schedule is too soft for them not to still win 9-10 games, but they're definitely no longer one of the elite teams on paper. They can't beat Michigan State without him, and they're much more likely to fall prey to some not-great-but-good teams on that schedule. You kinda have to look at their opener against Navy as a potential stumbling block now.

Wasn't the guy that played in Braxton's place last year pretty solid?

I can't imagine he was a senior.

Food for thought.

If Wisconsin doesn't win the West (THE HORRIBLE NAMES ARE GONE THE HORRIBLE NAMES ARE GONE) then something will have went terribly wrong for them.

Believe it or not, Ohio State's actually in the tougher division.  Michigan State maximizes their talent as well as anyone on the country, and Michigan is the only team in the conference who brings in recruiting classes that are even worth comparing to Ohio's.  Not that it has translated onto the field all that well for Michigan the last few years....

The Penn State-Central Florida game on 8/30 in Ireland is in jeopardy.

An Icelandic volcano named Bardarbunga is on the verge of erupting.  If it does, the ash will cancel a bunch of flights next week to Europe.

Turned on the Sam Houston/Eastern Washington game at a party yesterday. No joke, half the group thought the TV was broken because of E-Dub's ridiculous field.

Believe me, it's even more ridiculous in person.

This place is pretty much known as a wrestling board. With that said, I'm a bit surprised that someone here didn't ask if Ian Rotten just had a match the night before at the EW stadium and the field crew just said "fuck it" and painted the lines over the mess.
