ChesterCopperpot Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Is this the start of the talent cuts? 1
Matt D Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 You figure Ali would have been a little safe since he was promoted for NXT No Mercy on the 30th.
Ace Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 (edited) According to SRS, It's just an individual cut, not part of mass cuts. EDIT: This aged poorly. Edited September 21, 2023 by Ace 7
dorfus malorfus Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Apologies if this was posted elsewhere as it doesn't really pertain to TV but I don't see a "WWE General Discussion" thread but Mustafa Ali just announced he's gone from WWE. I always liked him and would love to see AEW pick him up but I'm not really sure he's someone they'd jump at. He's older than I thought (37!) but has that youthful babyface energy. Anyway given all the issues he's had with the company over the years I gotta think this is for the best, whatever the reasons are.
hammerva Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Emma is also released from the company according to her
Peck Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Oh no... they got Boogs. No more McAfee shredding on the announcers table. 1
RIPPA Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Aliyah just tweeted that she was released too 1
AxB Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Yeah, looks like it’s firing season at TKO. Might be time to start a dedicated thread?
Gonzo Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Rick Boogs is reportedly out, too, according to Fightful. It would appear that the next purge has begun.
RIPPA Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 I am now positive that now that I made this thread - no one else will get released 6

Big reason why I'm a lifelong Batman fan growing up on Batman (1966), Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992) and Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1995). Still love Batman and Batman Returns even with killer Bats.
J.T. Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 We will use it to announce the official arrival of Jade Cargill to the roster now that they've freed up the salary cap.
hammerva Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Well give that the thread shows 9/21/99 the wrestlers today should have seen it coming
The Natural Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 On topic, I feel for those who are out of jobs today unless wanting to be released like Mustafa Ali has for quite sometime. What might have been if he wasn't injured in 2019 and KofiMania happened instead.
Peck Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 At least Emma got a future husband out of her "comeback".
hammerva Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Top Dolla has been added to the list. I don't know what Michael Cole thinks about this
Peck Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Elias gone. Never forget the Seattle heat. 2 1

The Natural Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Just now, Peck said: Elias gone. Never forget the Seattle heat. Nuclear heat. Underrated moment, Kevin Owens spinning on his stool as Elias plays the opening chords. 2
