Patrick B.
Sign of different target audiences for indy feds in my area: St. Louis Anarchy regularly brings in ROH/DGUSA guys like Davey, Elgin, and Arik Cannon. The Young Bucks are booked for shows in 2014. SICW's special guests over the past year or so have included: Honky Tonk Man, Duggan, Butch Reed, Cowboy Bob Orton, Harley, Baron Von Raschke, Rocky Johnson, Ken Patera, Greg Valentine. Hillbilly Jim is at the show this coming weekend and Bushwhacker Luke is coming in for the January show.
nate
That big, stupid AJ tattoo will keep him from doing anything in WWE unless they make him a ninja costume or something Replacing Sin Cara worked out so well, AJ will be given MVP's bodysuit. Yeah, I imagine, if AJ should happen to go to WWE, and the AJ tattoo should happen to be a big problem, then worst is he has to wear a singlet a la Bret or Owen, or Taz in ECW. JohnnyJ
It seems like TNA has recognized that for a variety of reasons, no talent moves the ratings in any meaningful direction. When this is the case, the value of an AJ Styles is pretty small. Is it pathetic? Yes. Is it embarrassing how TNA treats its stars? Absolutely. But how many viewers does an AJ Styles bring in? How many people attend a TNA house show because he's on the card? When you are a company just getting by, why would you pay an employee several times more than what you would have to pay his replacement?

Web Conn
The AJ rib tat is easy to work around either have him in a Singlet or one of under armor t shirt things Jarrett use to wear or Bring him in as a super obsessed AJ Lee fan.
mattdangerously
Or just give him a name with the initials "AJ" and ignore the ugly tattoo. Y'all are overthinking this.

PetrolCB
I was thinking a few months back why not just bring him in as "The Phenomenal" Allen Jones. Too close to the Undertaker's nickname. Fans might confuse the two.
Big Fresh
Can they get the tattoo modified to say "MT"? For "Merg Turdfuck", obviously.
PetrolCB
They should make him get a few more "AJ" and "Let's Light It Up" tattoos, like that tattooed Miley Cyrus fan, so they can do a creepy stalker storyline.

TNA are correct to think that no one's a significant ratings mover, but the idea that you can replace AJ friggin Styles with someone like Rockstar Spud and it will make no difference to anything whatsoever is laughable. Are guys like Daniels, Kaz, Styles, etc major stars? Of course not. But they still have loyal following and fans are used to seeing them. Maybe it's the difference between a 0.7 and a 1.0, or doing a house show with 100 people instead of 500, but it's still significant. And since they're still talking about keeping Angle and Sting, I wonder just how bad the money situation can be.
tlk23
--HHH has guaranteed there will be only one champion coming out of Sunday's unification match in Houston under TLC rules with John Cena vs. Randy Orton with the title vs. title stipulation.. During his Michael Cole interview, HHH said that Daniel Bryan was one of the most popular talents in company history but that doesn't mean he's best for business. --WWE Main Event won't be airing on either 12/25 or 1/1 in the U.S. on Ion. It will return in its normal time slot on 1/8. --A movie project is being worked on called "Mid Atlantic Memories" which would look at wrestling in the region during the 60s, 70s and 80s. John Andosca is looking for financial backing for the documentary. They are trying to raise funds through the Mid Atlantic Legends web site at MidAtlanticLegends.com There is a message on the site from Jim Cornette on the project. The group is also doing its final convention in Charlotte from 7/31 to 8/3 this year at the University Place Hilton. --WWE is doing a training camp in Orlando this week. The biggest name known to be in the camp is Ricochet. --The trailer for the Scooby Doo movie is at http://youtu.be/5fpuAvKa2ek You can see one of the reasons they may want to keep the Sin Cara character, besides his surprising merchandise sales, is that he's a featured character in this movie. Craig H
Of all the reasons to keep the Sin Cara character, that's the one they roll with? I mean, not many are going to recognize the difference between the two Sin Caras, but why not just spend 10 minutes to create a new character. This is also one of those times where I'm bummed it isn't the late 80s or early 90s, because people would be saying the first Sin Cara died in some kind of freak accident.

nate
With the ongoing insistence that there will be only "ONE" champion *guaranteed* I keep getting this feeling like there'll be some fuckery (like the suspected (each guy retrieves the other's title, prompting a statement, "there IS only one champion ... OF EACH BRAND, yerk yerk yerk ..."). And, further, said fuckery might reach Fingerpoke of Doom proportions, heralding a major bust of the pro grappz market for a long time. Craig H
Cena or Orton wins, and then HHH comes out, congratulates the winner, says they're retiring the two belts or whatever unified belt they're making, and then announces himself as new champion, revealing an undisclosed third belt.
