Contentious C Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 (edited) Scott Fixer on the prowl!! But seriously, the Clips are giving off some 2011 Mavs vibes, with Kawhi in place of Dirk. Edited April 19, 2023 by Contentious C
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 19, 2023 Author Posted April 19, 2023 Giannis is doubtful to play Game 2 tonight.
Tarheel Moneghetti Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Lakers playing so bad I thought about turning on Dynamite. But the Grizzlies 20-pt lead is down to 8, so I’ll probably stick with it. Dull game so far,
Contentious C Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 I can't stand Dillon Brooks' bullshit anymore than Green's, but hey, stick it to LeBron!

Contentious C Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Murray and Ant have been just trading shots, huge game from both. Even if Denver takes this, at least Minnesota can make it worth watching.
GuerrillaMonsoon Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Tedious doesn't even begin to describe watching Harden try to play iso ball in the playoffs. Ten years with nothing to show for it.
GuerrillaMonsoon Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 So they fucking eject him on 21 points, when I had him for under 20.5. Lovely.
Contentious C Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Man, first game where SAC has looked out of sorts in this. It's going 7 with all home wins, and who knows what could happen in that last one.
Brian Fowler Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Suns with a decent enough lead, but if the Clippers somehow pull out a win while starting Russ, Eric Gordon, Norm Powell, Bones Hyland, and Terrence Mann, Phoenix should just have to disband the team immediately. 1
Contentious C Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 (edited) Doesn't look like it'll happen, but they were better than I would have guessed. But Powell just made a crazy shot... God, the misses and then Hyland...the Suns stink, can't wait to see Denver run them. Edited April 21, 2023 by Contentious C
Contentious C Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Just no defense tonight in Atlanta. Kinda fun except for the current score.
Contentious C Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Good luck to Philly scoring under 100 more than once in a series and having two of their 'best' players shoot like garbage against literally any team that isn't the one they just beat.

It's rare a team comes off sweeping an opponent with as many questions and concerns as Philly, that's for sure. At least they have time to hopefully get somewhat healthier before Boston or (hopefully) Atlanta.
Contentious C Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 (edited) Yeesh, if this game were in Memphis, they'd announce Elvis has left the building - in disgust. Edited April 23, 2023 by Contentious C

Contentious C Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 I think the Lakers might take Memphis more seriously if they were being coached by an NBA coach, rather than Tom Segura.

He’d fake his death to escape before halftime. Again, I mean. Fake his death again, Actually, If you told me Fat Elvis, skinny Elvis, and Priscilla were starting tonight for the Grizzlies, I’d probably believe you.
Contentious C Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Brooks with a shot to the crown jewels of the King to open the half. Next game ought to be fun!
Brian Fowler Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Lebron's foot might be bad enough that he doesn't have one of those "you pissed off the king, and how you are going to get sonned" nuclear games in him, but if the Lakers keep constricting the Grizz on defense I'm not sure it'll matter. When he's been healthy this year, AD has finally started looking like "the guy" again.
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 23, 2023 Author Posted April 23, 2023 Victor Oladipo has a torn patellar. He's done for the playoffs.
SirFozzie Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 (edited) Wow, what a mistake by Steph Curry, called a time out when they had none, gives up a technical free throw and loses the ball. THey're still up 5 with 40 seconds to play, but.... edit: OH WOW! Hits a three after the technical free throw. 1 point game, and the Kings have the ball with 10 seconds to play. edit 2: Kings miss a buzzer beater. If that had gone in, steph would have been such a goat, instead of the GOAT Edited April 23, 2023 by SirFozzie
Contentious C Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 (edited) And now Fox has a broken finger on his shooting hand, although it's still possible he'll play. Yeesh, like that series needed to get any crazier. And Murray is now suspended for G5 against Boston. Close the book on that series. The weird thing about that is that I think Murray's antics actually started in the 2nd quarter when Trae Young got called for a Flagrant 1 against Tatum. What makes it weird is that, in the process of complaining to the refs, Tatum actually puts his hands on another ref and maneuvers him out of the way so he can go plead his case. I'm the biggest Celtics fan here ... I think ... but isn't that *also* "making contact with an official"? Edited April 24, 2023 by Contentious C 1
Brian Fowler Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 So far this is basically Jimmy Butler versus the Bucks
