Cambridge United stay UP with another late-season escape, winning on the final day to escape the drop zone.  🙂

I’m still listening to todays Warm Up with Max having to do the radio show while the match is being played.

Championship finals:

Millwall 3-4 Blackburn Rovers
Boro 1-1 Coventry City
Preston North End 0-3 Sunderland
Swansea 3-2 WBA

Up 3-1 at the break, Millwall completely come apart and Sunderland ride their hot streak into the playoffs.

Semis are Luton vs Sunderland and Boro vs Coventry for the richest prize in world soccer.

Spare a thought for Sheffield Wednesday. 96 points total is the highest ever in the EFL without automatic promotion. Sheffield Wednesday get twatted 4-0 at Peterborough United in the League One first leg of their semi-final last night. Peterborough were 19 points behind the Owls. This will really sting along with Sheffield United getting back into the Premier League finishing 2nd in the Championship. It takes a lot for a team to finish third to win the play-offs as it's a downer missing out on automatic promotion.

Relegation dogfight makes you do strange things, like rooting for Chelsea, Newcastle and Fulham today, not to mention the worst case scenario of who to root for tomorrow afternoon.

meanwhile, Oviedo has a 5 match winning streak and is playing Sporting today to maybe continue an improbable playoff run.

Speaking of the play-offs, c'mon Bradford City vs. Carlisle United tomorrow at Valley Parade on a very rare 7pm Sunday start.

1-0 to the Bantams. Walker. Get in!

Just heard Chelsea have made 128 line up changes this season.

That's *almost* as bad as a FM Lower League Save.

Folarin Balogun, who's had a breakout season for Reims in France on loan from Arsenal, has a one-time switch from England's Three Lions to the USMNT approved.

US can pick Folarin Balogun as FIFA approves eligibility change from England - The Washington Post

This could be a very big deal for the USMNT.  Looking forward to seeing how he does with the team.

That is certainly a possibility, given some of the decisions on who made the WC roster.  I'll never underestimate the ability of US Soccer to mess things up.
