there's some wipeout potential with Houston, either they're making that run to a final four in their home area... or they're gonna lose to Auburn in Birmingham.

lots of KU fan grumbling about how they weren't the 1 seed or in the KCMO regional despite 17 Quad 1 wins.

I haven't watched much this year, but I feel like this KU team has all the hallmarks of being an early exit.

Always bet against a Bill Self team that's reliant on a freshman wing.

After the first round, KU plays either Eric Musselman (Arkansas) or Brad Underwood (Illinois). Musselman looks more like someone about to have a heart attack than Self looked. Then it's St. Marys, VCU, UConn, Iona. A UConn/St. Marys game would be played in Albany which is a bit more favorable to UConn. But yeah, it's UConn/Dan Hurley, whose main tournament accomplishments involve beating Creighton and Oklahoma in the first round while he was at Rhode Island.

So the bottom half of KU's regional is a bit more strong than the top half. Even if you believe Mick Cronin/UCLA is always overrated.

Anyways... I like my bracket since I didn't accidentally pick Rick Barnes or Indiana to go too far this year.

I'm in the fringe of society that doesn't know where the TruTV HD channel is located but does know where the TruTV SD channel is located (so the SD channel can take me to the HD channel)

Anyways, the first four has started, so if these games impact your brackets any, keep an eye on them.

you don't exactly have to have had watched college basketball to fare well on a bracket.. just gotta have an idea about which teams/coaches will burn you if you pick them

having Mizzou and KU playing at the same time should be lots of "fun" for some KC-area fans

Princeton with the upset! Not as exciting since it’s a snooty Ivy League school, I want my bracket busters to be schools you never heard of and from places you never heard of.

Me: "There was a monster upset the afternoon. Ever hear of Furman University?"

Cindy: "Who?"

Me: "EXACTLY!"

Kennesaw State almost pulled off their first tournament win in their first ever appearance but Xavier held on.

Kennesaw State has been in D1 since 2005-06 season.  This was their first season with a winning record.

Gutted for the kids.  They outplayed Xavier for about 30 min and had a 13-point lead with 10 min left, and the wheels came off.  They missed a number of open, relatively “easy” shots down the stretch and looked like they were going to make a layup to go ahead by a point with less than two seconds left in the game (shot was blocked).
