Rob Black sees XPW getting any kind of publicity as a win

He recently pulled XPW off FITE in favor of XPW's own streaming service because he didn't want to deal with blowback on content - now we know why

Drake Younger has been a regular competitor there since the company started back up as well. I'm sure Rob Black feels like catering to the "politically incorrect" segment of fans is somehow lucrative. I just checked their merch site and some of their shirts have slogans like "You can't cancel what was already cancelled".

Did the "Juvy's Juice Bar" segment happen on an XPW show? Because if so, that would probably be the best thing XPW ever did.

Yep! That was the first Philadelphia show Hostile Takeover, which also featured the Rob Naylor-approved "Best Tag Team Match Performance By a Guy Who Was Never Seen Before Or Since" in Smokey Carmichael:

Also Necro Butcher, using the ring name MAGA Butcher.

I remember during Rob Black obscenity trial he seemed to have no support from the porn industry. You have to be pretty scummy to be the mosted hated guy in wrestling AND porn

I just happen to read an old review of one of XPW's shows last night. It's whatever show from 2002 that had the "Raw Sewage" match with the pornstars. When you consider stuff like that, I doubt ANYONE of sound mind and body would want to be in any way connected to him be it in the adult entertainment industry or not.

If you want to be the G.G. Allin of pro wrestling, good for you I guess. However, there are better ways to lose your money than running a pro wrestling promotion.

imagining the alternate universe where Michael PS Hayes gets the Godfather gimmick

There is only 2 years ages difference between Hayes and Charles Wright so it could of been possible.

I want to know how he ended up in the restaurant industry and why any sane person would eat there knowing who owns it? Brings new meaning to the term "Garbage Plate".

The Angels are in Oakland this weekend, so not likely that Ohtani can show up in a luxury box at Wrestlemania but right now, he'd pretty much be the one baseball player who could be in a crowd shot at a WWE show where the response from non-baseball fans wouldn't be heavily "who's that dude"

as someone who didn't pay enough attention to names or dates, I thought Indi Hartwell was tweeting that picture in response to this Billie Starkz tweet:

apparently i'm the prime demographic for "we can't have multiple wrestlers with the same first name, pal" based off of my occasional tripups in regards to Zoey Stark and Billie Starkz.

A take I have been dying to discuss for years, as copy+pasted from Abraham Josephine Riesman, author of (the upcoming? available now?) Ringmaster: Vince McMahon and the Unmaking of America's Reddit AMA -

Quote

" Long story short: due to his totalitarian control over creative for decades, he has been the closest thing wrestling has had to an auteur. And if his canvas was the wrestling mat, his paint was his own psychosexual longings and revulsions. Hope you read the book!"

Vince McMahon is to WWE as Lorne Michaels is to SNL - sure you could continue either franchise without those man, but it wouldn't be authentic

So excited to read this. Still waiting for it to arrive at my local bookstore so I can pick up my order. None of that instant gratification with Amazon's one-click ordering for me, thank you!
