Elsalvajeloco
Poor Randy Brown couldn't decide if he wanted to go down doing a cartwheel or a forward roll so he did both.

When the end result is the fetal position I guess it doesn't matter what path you take.
twiztor
that Crute-Menifield fight was awesome. insane first round, and potentially the first time i'm not disappointed in a draw. HWs gonna HW. Randy Brown started the match looking very promising, but man, once it started going downhill, it went quick.

The Natural
Super fight next, Islam Makhachev (23-1) defends the UFC Lightweight Championship for the first time vs. Alexander Volkanovski (25-1), the reigning UFC Featherweight Champion. Volk #1 P4P vs. Islam #2 P4P. Edited February 12 by The Natural
The Natural
Islam has scary grappling on the ground. Volk surviving the hooks and RNC attempt.
John E. Dynamite
We are in the "no losers" segment of the fight. That's always neat.
John E. Dynamite
Weird situation where Islam probably/objectively won but 48-47 Volkanovski makes way more sense than 49-46 Makhachev.
The Natural
Islam gets the decision (48-47 x2 and 49-46). 12 wins in a row now for Islam in UFC. Volk's ends at 12.

The Natural
How did you score Islam/Volk?
jaedmc
Pretty classic NWA traveling champ booking tonigt. Islam wins the decision. Volk finishes the fight on top. Now we got some heat for Yair/Volk. Islam vs. Poirier doesn"t interest me at all. I honestly don't know what does.
twiztor
i had it 48-47 Volk, but will freely admit that (1) i've been drinking for hours, and (2) a lot of those rounds were super close. both men came out looking better, and that is SUPER rare when it comes to MMA bouts. no argument over the decision, i look forward to Volk/Yair and Islam/whoever.

I had it same though I wasn't drinking, I'm tired as fuck is my caveat. I want to see an immediate rematch between the #1 and #2 P4P mixed martial artists.
