(BP) Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 One thing I like conceptually about those movies is that they’re supposed to be anthropomorphic animal mutants and not just psychos in costumes. When they do the shared universe movie I think they should fight Psycho Goreman.
Curt McGirt Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Seeing the lamb head made me think of the pig's head Farmer Vincent wore at the end of Motel Hell which made me think "I can't believe they haven't remade that yet".

J.T. Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 (edited) Why is Dylan Clark able to do in ten minutes or less what other directors cannot do in an hour or more? Edited September 11, 2023 by J.T.
RIPPA Posted September 11, 2023 Author Posted September 11, 2023 So apparently The Strangers is getting rebooting as a trilogy directed by Renny Harlin What is not said in that tease is that apparently all three movies will come out next year
(BP) Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 I like that Fear Street trilogy format where it’s secretly just a miniseries, so if it’s going straight to a streaming service I’m in. It looks like Madeline Petsch is the lead, and she’s already genre royalty in my book just for her performance in Riverdale alone.
Curt McGirt Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Renny Harlin, I mean he already did so much good in reshooting that Exorcist prequel! What a reboot! (Okay, he did do Nightmare 4 and Deep Blue Sea so it's not like he hasn't had genre success before) 1
J.T. Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Courtney Solomon directed the shitty D&D movie. I do not have hope for this Strangers trilogy.
RIPPA Posted September 12, 2023 Author Posted September 12, 2023 If you ever wonder what Caddy Shack would have been like as a horror movie... well wonder no more 1
(BP) Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 There’s actually a (slightly) more serious version of that premise in a No Sleep story calledVermin. It’s never been easier for amateurish productions to make something that looks fairly polished, so it’s impressive how shitty that looks. 2
Curt McGirt Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Nobody should be forced to watch any more than that exact minute of footage. 1
(BP) Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I wouldn’t watch it, but it does stir a bit of nostalgia for being in our first apartment at the dawn of streaming when the only movies we could watch on Netflix were Monsturd and Thankskilling.

If it is as tremendous as Hill House, it should be really good. Mike will helm the first four episodes and his homie, Michael Fimognari (one of Mike's collabs and his go to screenplay writer), will direct the final four episodes.
