Wrestling desperately needs the next tall dude with amazing physical charisma who only does daps, chokeslams, and powerbombs. I'll tell you that much.

BIG BILL! Shows promise

Sid would do too much weird yelling during his sex tape. Someone like Kevin Nash would know how to do the bare minimum to get the job done.

I remember that weird Kevin Nash in outer space comic that featured a love scene getting posted here. Also Warriors Santa in Bondage one as well

That was Dave and Bryan’s point. They both believe Riddle failed a drug test last summer but didn’t get pulled.  The context of the discussion was that WWE doesn’t handle wellness violations consistently.  Sometimes they announce the suspension, sometimes they don’t.  Sometimes the wrestler gets suspended right away, sometimes they wait until he finishes whatever money feud he’s in.  Dave has claimed that wrestlers have been fired in the past for wellness violations instead of suspended (with the drug test failure never being reported as such).

Meltzer has long claimed that Vince saved top guys from wellness violations.  Supposedly Vince and Trips were going to bury one of Orton’s wellness violations but decided to let it stand because they were annoyed with Randy’s attitude and wanted to teach him a lesson.

Why did they protect Matt Riddle but not Roman Reigns when he had a wellness violation? Other than that it's a different regime, people in charge now.

I have to say, WWE is constantly highlighting the sex appeal of their women wrestlers, it's fucking crazy that they have a problem with a woman being open with her sexuality.  Honestly, if you're going to profit off of someone's sex appeal, you probably should be OK if that person is cool with profiting off of her sex appeal.  I feel like that should be on her resume, she's the exact candidate you'd want to do the job they want her to do.  She should get to make the rules to the limit of her sexuality, not the fucking WWE.

I have a rabbit hole theory that it was because Linda going to be selected as the leader of the SBA by Trump. Roman was suspended in 2016, right before the election time. All I can think is that they wanted to cross all their Ts and dot their Is to make sure nothing could come under fire. Maybe even makes her/the company look better saying "see, we don't care if it's even our biggest star. We care about integrity (lol, i know)".

I know its an out there theory that probably isn't true, but looking at WWE landscape in 2016 that's the best I can think of.

Not a clue. Could be a number of reasons or Dave & Bryan could simply be wrong about the Summer test.  Honestly, Roman is the perfect guy to fail a test.  Roman could take a wellness violation without any long-term ramifications and he’s the perfect guy to nail if you want to sell fans and media a fiction that you are serious about wellness violations and no one’s too big to fail.  Give Roman a 30 day vacation and dummy up a failed test for him and no one will look too hard when you toss a couple of other failed tests in the shredder because, after all, you just suspended one of your top guys.  Of course, you’re talking this seriously.

Another thing that wrestling fandom and porn fandom (for lack of a better term) have in common is a culture of sharing (or piracy if you wanna be mean about it)

Also wrestling and porn tend to be early adopters of whatever the new media is (VHS, Digital Media, Streaming etc)

Bryan Alvarez has the most annoying voice in pro wrestling and maybe Vince Russo has the second most annoying, and they're two of the first three commentators to talk in The Nine Lives of Vince McMahon.

Bummer.

EDIT: This is remedial Vince McMahon Jr. history so far, but what the hell, maybe there will be some gems.

So if Matt Riddle failed a drug test right before SummerSlam, why wasn't he suspended and the wellness violation announced at that time, and why was he allowed to still appear at the event?

For the same reason Rock, Brock, and Triple H have never failed a drug test.

It was essentially a glorified clip show from the previous info about Vince from the other Dark Sides, with some new talking heads and an intro about Vince's life and an epilogue about him leaving.

It wasn't bad but nothing new if you're a regular watcher of Dark Side.

Yep, that is what I've realized. Now, it's just on in the background.

Vice is on some Sex, Lies and Headlocks bullshit here.

I had a sociology professor who talked about how porn is always connected to the latest tech advances, from the beginning of time.

I don't recall the exact details, but wasn't that a revenge porn situation? If so, let's not go down this road.

Wasn't it more a general hack of celebs that saw nude vids/pics and sex tapes leaked?

What is the over / under for Priscilla Kelly debuting in AEW after sending Darby a make-up tweet?

Not sure a make-ip tweet would even be necessary. They divorced amicably. If she hadn't gone to WWE she probably would have ended up in AEW at some point.

And there have been a ton of reports saying that WWE has been done with marijuana tests "for years".

Matt couldn't stop smoking when he was a UFC guy, and it wasn't fair back then. The threshold for a postive marijuana test in MMA is super high now and you never hear about it. So before the conversation goes in the obvious direction, no, this probably isn't about weed. And Matt Riddle has shown that he lacks the ability to not do the drugs he isn't allowed to do. And I'm not shitting on him, I said I would take the week off the sauce and I'm staring down another martini. But yeah man, this was always a possibility with the guy and I hope it works out.

I'm pretty sure WWE doesn't suspend for weed, just a fine. Brian Kendrick has a story about this from years ago when he would get fined and Big Johnny told him he could have bought a house with the fines he had built up and Kendrick responded by saying "But I already have a house."

For Roman, they at least had him finish out the match with Seth (with Mox cashing in MITB right after) which kinda made Roman look like a chump. Then the suspension was announced but it was known for at least a week.

We'll get more info about Mandy's termination eventually and anything written about it now is speculation which never happens on a message board right?

WWE released Mandy Rose. SRS and PWInsider both confirmed.

It's crazy. I figured all of that "she might get fired" talk was nervous handwringing. lol Sucks for anyone to lose their job but at least she's smart and has multiple streams of income and options. Now, she's free to do what she wants on her terms.
