Have some class, come on

What answer did you think was coming?

If your analysis is that poor when it comes to ratings, you should stop posting the ratings without context. You cannot apparently provide that context. Shit, that is the same thing that Red King does. Hence, the answer.

Yes, AEW isn't going to get the same rights fees as the NBA...the second or third biggest sports league/association in North America and one that has been on Turner Sports for what? 3 or 4 decades now? Dude, who do you believe is going to get the same money as the NFL or the NBA? It ain't WWE.

Oh, I'd say he has a rival for quantity. EMMV on the quality of all the posts here. 😉

As long as RIPPA keeps doing his daily AEW reports, he is cool with me. 😎

...are the ratings charts I post not labeled sufficiently or something?

Did you think the chart labeled "AEW Dynamite" with the dates and times was actually just delayed Seinfeld ratings from 1997?

I don't ramble on for no reason to explain what doesn't need explaining, sorry - people have said they appreciate me posting the charts here since they're paywalled elsewhere.

No, the person posting them isn't sufficient.

They're probably posted behind a paywall for a reason. People want folks to pay for their content and not have some random dude repost that content on a forum.

Also, this is a **checks notes** a discussion forum. People posting random things is why we no longer have picture and GIF threads. Moreover, as clearly pointed out, you don't understand a THING on that posted. So yeah, you probably should stop posting it.

I for one like the ratings posting, it's nice to see how the numbers go and support my theory of Jeff Jarrett getting the highest.

For 5 bucks, you can see them all the time and by someone who understands it since you know...they put it together.

Also, we all knew Jarrett is the draw.

This fucking guy is taking ratings posts and images from r/sc and acting like he's doing us a service because it's paywalled elsewhere. It's like expecting people to thank you for reiterating the news that you got from your dad that still subscribes to the local newspaper after he called you up to bore your ear off about what's in it.

Hell, I wouldn't even have that big of a problem IF you pay attention to what you're posting and come to some logical conclusion. Clearly, he's posting stuff and not looking at what he is posting. If he was, he wouldn't come to some of dumbest talking points in the history of time. Posting something as your own work OR posting it without any of your own rational and contextual thoughts or ideas tied in even while crediting the original source is plagiarism. He might as well be posting passages from The Iliad. I am pretty sure folks would like that as well.

This particular thread that you didn't contribute much to or the forum in general where you didn't contribute much to? Don't tease us with a good time.

Are you guys telling me I was wasting my time joking about a Brand Split (instead of working) when there was this hot drama going on here I could have been reading (instead of working)?

No, cause you need to be working.

Just to say my peace on this, I threw the shot out there because he has a very clear bias. He rails against AEW in every thread and revels in the lower rated shows. I don't think Rampage getting a good rating this week is actually indicative of anything, nor what they deserve to be getting. I was just highlighting his hypocrisy.

The truth is too many people jump to conclusions based on one week's rating. To me ratings are ebbs and flows and the only real trends you can take form them are ones extrapolated over weeks / months at a time. Everyone hyper focuses on every single quarter hour, but without proper context. What else was happening on TV at that time? What time of year is it? Has this performer's quarter hours been a trend for multiple episodes or is this a one off? It's very hard to conclude any REAL truth through the data in just single weeks or single quarter hours.

The only data point I'm truly willing to stake my name too is it's very clear Dynamite starts off higher because of a good lead in. And dips later in the night. No that doesn't confirm wrestler A is not a draw in the main event. It just concludes that people don't stick around for the whole episode anymore.

Hell, I love AEW for the most part and rarely make it to the end of a Dynamite because I'm tired and old and work early. I almost never watch Rampage live. DVRs fucking ruuuuuuuuule.

Every Dynamite is the same thing. It's not because of my lack of interest, but I'm sitting there for nearly 2 hours, it's been a busy day, I'm tired, and I'm pretty wide awake for all of Dynamite...and like clockwork I fall asleep before either the main event or the second to last match and the next thing I know it's midnight.

Every Wednesday is an adventure to fall asleep during Dynamite and wake up startled to whatever is on TBS and trying to figure out that I just need to go to bed.

Dynamite I watch on a 15-20 minute delay so that I can FFWD through commercials, long entrances, and interminable MJF promos. I'm usually about caught up for the main event (which ends at 9 central), and then I start winding down for bed.

Rampage I usually watch on Saturday morning on DVR even though I'm almost always actually up during the live broadcast.

I watch all wrestling shows live.

When something/someone I don't like comes on the screen, I change the channel.

Then, when it is something/someone I like, I change back to the wrestling show.

I hate to add any gasoline to this fire, but I'm *super* curious to see if any of those lead-in eyeballs stuck around through the opening segment (or maybe even stuck around longer, given the BBT audience - I really can't say). I mentioned this in the Dynamite thread but figured I'd spin it off here, 17 minutes is absurd

TBH I think Lakers/Grizzlies game 2 is going put a serious dent in that number more than the opening segment. Probably made it worse, but they were up against it either way.

Oh you know what, I'm being a dummy: they were on at 5 on the west coast this week and I completely forgot. That's probably gonna have a serious effect
