I would probably put McGriff as 8th among those guys. McGriff getting in wouldn't be the worst thing ever. Him getting in because he's not Barry Bonds would not be good. For the love of God, Albert Belle deserves to be in. The man had 100 extra base hits in a strike-shortened season. And, once again, Lou Whitaker and Bobby Grich don't even get considered.

Since the Contemporary Era is for those "whose primary contribution to the game came in 1980 or later." People today don’t understand just how bad the post Midnight Massacre Mets were and just what a decrepit franchise they were: Think Oakland A's only with even smaller crowds playing in New York City. You can pinpoint the exact moment the Mets began the turnaround to when they acquired him in 1983 and 3 short years later becoming World Champions. He is the only player who leads his specific position in Gold Gloves who is not in.

RIPPA
Okay - this one is a little wonky The Braves Jake Odorizzi apparently exercised his $12.5 million dollar option Atlanta didn't want him around so they then traded him to the Rangers Quote The Rangers have acquired right-hander Jake Odorizzi and cash considerations from the Braves, according to announcements from both teams. In exchange, Atlanta will receive left-hander Kolby Allard. The cash considerations is that the Braves are paying $10 million
