    Seed Of 6ix

I can't believe these cats haven't blown up yet. For those not in the know, Seed Of 6ix are four young cats out of Memphis, Locodunit (P.O.M.), Lil' Infamous, Rebelyus and Trigg Bambino. Think of a more lyrical version of Three 6 Mafia, basically carrying on their legacy. Two of the members (Loco and Lil Inf, the original duo) are DJ Paul's nephews, and Lil' Infamous is not only the son of the late Lord Infamous, but he looks, talks and raps like him. Add in Trigg and Rebelyus, and at times Loco's brother Ant Dunit who's kinda the unofficial fifth member like Project Pat was with Three 6, and you've got a dope supergroup. And it's not like they're rookies or anything- before they formed the group in late 2014 they had mixtapes for years. Here's a small sample of their work that I put together.
  2. Anyone that's a true hip-hop head knows that one of the best tracks on any LP is the posse cut. It's where a bunch of cats get in the booth and spit 8-16 bars or more of the hottest, hungriest lines that they can muster, and it brings out the best of even the weakest of MC's, not to mention lyrical juggernauts- even established acts spit lines in posse cuts like they're Unsigned Hype in Source magazine looking for a contract. Now I put the tags in because I know those three will get mentioned a lot, but here's one to start that I think no one will think of....
  3. I waited for 10 years for the reunion of these Memphis legends, and for the last 2 hours I've been listening to the new mixtape 6ix Commandments.....and it was well worth the wait! I mean, in my humble opinion there's not one track than can be skipped, and longtime Triple Six Mafia fans are in for a lot of surprises. I'm posting the posse song here because not only is it one of my favorite tracks on here, but at 0:41 the absolute best moment of the mixtape happens.
