  1. Football in Mississippi is just that. damn. good.
  2. I will give them credit for remembering James Storm still had that briefcase.
  3. I find it weird Elgin dropped the belt after less than three months. I know he said in an interview he was gonna tryout for MLB recently, but that couldn't have gotten him any serious heat. I really enjoyed the story with him going after the defense record too.
  4. Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State and Wisconsin are all 1-loss teams and we're only 10 days into the season. Definitely didn't see that coming.
  5. I always figured it'd be best if you take a guy's natural weight, deduct a certain amount (not like 50-60 lbs) and then tell them that's the division they're fighting in, so the weight cut isn't nearly as bad. Or would that present more problems?
  6. So the other day I'm scrolling through this thread and have a good laugh at that Warrior ripoff dude. I don't think anything of it after that. I check my Facebook this morning and find a message from this guy asking for a booking. Also, telling me he's heard lots of good things about me down in New York (I'm in Toronto and have never been to NY in my life) Amazing.
  7. Big Ten football just got a lot more interesting. Wisconsin (with a creampuff division, with the -maybe- exception of Iowa) vs. Michigan State in the Championship? Also, am I the only one who found Indiana to be fun as hell to watch last year?
  8. That was the best squash match since WCW Saturday Night went off the air. Simply amazing. I'm still in shock. Lesnar is the best booked guy in a loooong time.
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn_-FgydQjo Not too good at posting videos. But here's the link to a song by Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties. Character driven album by Dan Campbell of the Wonder Years. Absolutely heartbreaking. Well, the entire album is. Check it out and keep the tissues near by.
  10. I can't believe they did the Dixie powerbomb on TV. Guess it wouldn't have gotten over as much with BFG being in Tokyo now. But the in-ring portion of this show looks real good. However, still too much talking.
  11. I loved it. Worth $35? Ehh, maybe not, but that's just the HD price. The main event told a fulfilling story and the streamers fuck up was signs of a great false finish. The show was enjoyable. Liked the Briscoes tag and the Steen/Silas post-match angle was fun. Really excited to see where they go with Elgin as champion, especially considering fans usually turn on babyface champions within six months.
  12. Sooo.. big live pay-per-view tonight.. Anyone ordering it? Here's the preview TV episode for the show. The angle at the end is quite fantastic. Hope Elgin finally gets the belt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3V4i8jaC64U&feature=youtu.be
  13. It really is one of the best concepts they've ever done. I just pray they don't fuck it up this year and have James Storm wrestle 5 times, and Willow wrestle 7 times etc.
  14. I only caught the second half of this show, and after the dreadful TV recently, this show had some extremely low expectations... So surprise, surprise, it wasn't a bad show. EC3/Bully Ray was an entertaining weapons match, and the angle at the end made sense considering they're saving the Dixie table bump for BFG, and the crowd was hot for the finish. EY/Aries/Lashley was so much better than EY/MVP would have been. A bit short, but all action for 13 minutes. EY was really over to this crowd. Storm/Anderson was fun, and it got the Cowboys involved which was the entire purpose anyway. Von Erichs looked good, could've learned how to work a crowd better, but I don't think they teach you that in NOAH dojos. Caught some of Willow/Magnus, good finish and Bram takes a great bump off punches. Magnus needs whatever heat he can grab at the moment, glad he went over. I missed the rest of the stuff, I'll have to catch it later. Wanna catch the ladder match and Aries/King.
  15. Hope that stuff airs on TV in the next two weeks before the PPV. Sounds like some good build.
  16. That was quite the episode. Not sure what else to say about it. Hannibal outsmarted everybody, and I feel like I got played the fool for ever doubting that idea. So I suppose mission accomplished?
  17. Holy shit. Sybreed was the LAST thing I expected. FUCKING AWESOME.
  18. I think all we need is a Pitbull reference and we've covered all the bases here.
  19. As long as Xavier stays home, I'll be happy.
  20. So yeah Young Bucks/Red Dragon was fantastic last night. Shockingly Lethal/Kushida was a lot of fun. Steen/Nakamura and Cole/Liger delivered as expected. And at the end it was revealed that Christopher Daniels and a "mystery partner" (likely Kazarian) will be coming to ROH for Best in the World. So War of the Worlds was definitely worth $14.99.
  21. I believe that's Corino ribbing on Kevin Kelly for his "SOARING ANNNNND SCORING!!" call everytime the Wolves would connect on dives.
  22. 8-Man Tag First Blood Match? Ehh. Is the stipulation really necessary? However, I am cool with EY, Bully, Aries and Joe as a babyface team.
  23. Hopefully he won't know as long as he pays his taxes!
  24. http://uproxx.com/sports/2014/05/wwes-tribute-to-stone-crusher-connor-michalek-will-break-your-entire-heart/ Bring out the tissues, you're gonna need 'em.
