TNA Impact Wrestling Spoilers for 8/22
DreamBroken replied to DreamBroken's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
Wouldn't be surprised if he's gone soon. He hasn't been on the last two weeks and the WON said Brooke was fired. Between that and being behind on pay, writing might be on the wall for the end of Hogan in TNA. Can't imagine that Hogan would have fired his own kid. From PWInsider: "The feeling within TNA was that Brooke Hogan's role on IMPACT Wrestling had run its course and they mutually decided to part ways. Hulk Hogan was involved in the discussion as well. The split was said to be amicable. Brooke wants to focus on non-wrestling projects going forward, but the door is always open for a return if it makes sense to both sides. Also, financial considerations did factor into her release. One source in the company described her contract as being "a luxury we can't afford right now." -
Surprised how short the Shield tag was but fun while it lasted. Guessing there will be some type of DQ ending with RVD/Ambrose. Bryan/Barrett was an entertaining cluster. Cane shot to Maddox ruled as did Vince's awesome suit. Also liked Christian/Sandow, great counters leading to the finish.

I don't think they've used it on TV, but on Twitter they've been using the name EGO (Extraordinary Gentleman's Organization) and they've been insistent that Fortune is dead and there will be no 4th member. -

Figured Bully was winning the title back, but didn't see the shocking swerve~! coming. Sabin just never came off as a top guy. Great Ortiz/Rampage build though. Enjoyed the ladder & table match as well as the knockouts 3 way. Glad they dropped Velvet from the initial tag and made it just that three way instead, good stuff. Too bad Taryn's out, would've liked to see her win the title at BFG. -
Third loss for the Shield (Orton/Bryan/Kane, Christian/Usos) Dolph worked Superstars, teaming with Kofi. Gotta love it!

Haven't seen a whole lot but this was my first time seeing him and I thought it was solid -
Rock's the only one who leaps to my mind, unless they rehire Angle. Yeah, I think if anyone, Rock seems much more likely for that role than Austin.

Absolutely loved Cena's promo, thought it was one of his very best. Great stuff and a highlight of the night. I wish Orton had a match at SummerSlam rather than just the overly strong tease of the cash-in. Usos/Real Americans was another real fun match, loved the finishing kick. Triple H being added makes it feel a lot like Cena/Punk at Summerslam 2011. Summerslam looks like a pretty good card overall, wish RVD/Ambrose was on the main show but I guess they need a good preshow match too.

Good to see some classic Action Jackson popping up -
Orton/RVD ruled, they've always got awesome spots together. Christian/Alberto was good stuff too. Thought Bryan/Barrett was a really good short match too, another pair that work well together. Loved Barrett's cutoffs, especially the Winds of Change catch. And Brock's video promo was absolutely fantastic, perfect delivery, glad to see his talking used more.

Pretty good stuff from Hardy/Joe. Storm's superkick to Jessie indeed ruled. Liked all the stuff with Mickie/ODB/Gail.. hoping Taryn is back in the mix soon but those 3 make for a good title picture for now. Roode/Kazarian/Daniels together should be good, kind of odd that Roode just turned down their idea to reform Fortune not too long ago but I'm loving Roode going back to his super heel ways the past two weeks. Looking forward to next week.. Styles vs Aries vs Hardy vs Kazarian in a ladder match could be awesome. Interested to see what happens now in Mafia vs Aces and I'd assume Bully is definitely winning back the title. Still been a bit tough to take Sabin seriously as world champ especially in tonight's opening segment. -

Loved that run as well. Hogan & Edge winning the tag titles was one of my favorite moments of 02, super fun tag that was. -
Really liked Cena's promo and liked Kane's as well...got me interested in Kane/Wyatt for Summerslam. Thought the Punk/Brock segment was great and their best together so far, crowd was really into it which was good to see. Brock actually talking in the promo ruled too. Cesaro/Swagger vs the Usos was a real fun 5 minute tag, Cesaro getting caught with the superkick was sick. Kinda surprising to see the Usos lose but maybe they'll build to a triple threat tag title match at Summerslam which would be good stuff. Thought the same exact thing during the show tonight. Great to see the world title doing a bit better. Not sure if they'll add RVD to the title match but interested to see what he ends up doing at SummerSlam.

Kurt says he's going to rehab now: "I am blessed to have the support of my family, my friends and my company. In light of recent events I will immediately be entering a rehabilitation center. I realize that this is a pivotal time in my life and I ask for your understanding as well as your prayers and continued support. I am confident that in taking these steps I can begin to address necessary changes in my life." -
Had heard it once before but didn't know who sang it, loving that Bonnie McKee song!

I still want to see Mason Ryan become a top guy someday. Always liked Leo Kruger, entertaining character. Went back and watched some of Summer Rae's matches, she strikes me as very good and surprisingly on level with the other more experienced girls. NXT continues to have a much stronger divas division than the main roster.

Great opening with Aries and liked the promo exchange with Roode. Loved Roode going back to his old ways that got him the title in the first place, thought that worked really well. Park/Bradley was fun. Sabin/Manik felt really not special at all despite the champion vs champion hype, did like the delayed superplex though. Gail/ODB was pretty awesome, Gail shined great as usual and it's good to see ODB in a featured match again.. should be another good feud for Gail. Really enjoyed Aries/Styles, it was a match I've wanted to see for the past year+ so it had that 'dream match' vibe going that they pushed a little bit. Some great spots throughout, great strikes towards the end. Finish wasn't the best but I hope maybe there will be a rematch if they make it to the final 4 in the series. Definitely the match I would've liked to have seen headline BFG. The big reveal definitely fell pretty flat. I liked Tito's bellator debut last night but this seemed pretty awkward, especially ending the show on that with him just standing there while everyone is stunned. Seems like a very strange way for him to debut with those videos since his past times in TNA was just a guest referee 7-8 years ago. -

Always enjoy the Bellator shows since coming to Spike..crazy fast KO in the main. Loved the wrestling segment style debut for Tito.. "My opponent will be... this man!" -
WWE's youtube channel put up a WWE '13 sim of Cena/Bryan

I always enjoyed Rodney Mack, watched him on the indys where he was a top guy in Texas promotions and thought he'd be a star when he got signed. Shame he didn't get much of a chance. Still enjoy seeing him in the ring wherever he pops up. Felt the same about Lance Hoyt, who was a top star in the same area for years....thought it was crazy that he got released so quickly.
