What were they going for there? That looks more like Garvin than Buddy. They could have at least sprung for a blonde wig and a head protector.
Pretty sure they were going for Garvin. Shame on Michael Cole for not knowing the difference, though.

Yeah but he still could have stuck around and tried to prove he deserved a chance higher up in the card. If Punk had asked in 06 if he had a shot to move up the card they would have told him the same thing.

Apparently they worked the NXT TV tapings. They lost to the Ascension.

Team Houston: Undertaker, Stone Cold (Victoria is close enough to count), Booker T, Hernandez.

I haven't seen a ton of Magnum TA's work, but in the little I've seen it was pretty obvious that he had the presence and charisma of a major star. Plus a magnificent mullet/'stache combo.

The USWA is generally considered bad?
I know I'm gonna catch a lot of flack for saying that, but when you think about it the CWA in the 70's-80's was the best of Memphis wrestling, not USWA. Also, and I know that I shouldn't base my opinion strictly off of this, but they did get the "award" for Worst Promotion Of The Year in 97, the year they went belly up, and from some of the stuff I've seen (matches, overall TV shows, etc.) I can clearly see why.
So your opinion is based on a seperate promotion from years before the USWA even existed, and the quality of the USWA the year they went out of business? Do you think that's enough of a proper sample size to form an opinion about the promotion as a whole? I've only ever seen some of the early 90s USWA, but it was pretty good stuff.

Also, can someone give me a feasible argument for Taker vs Sting? Not an interesting match up, wouldn't draw more than your usual Taker match and sure as hell wouldn't be good match.
Not at Wrestlemania, at least. If they can do it at at different PPV, sure, why not? But if they do actually sign Sting when his TNA contract runs out, I think they'd be better off giving Sting a Wrestlemania match further down the card with someone like Jericho.

That's pretty good, actually. Imagine Vince hamming it up outside the ring during the climactic match...

That brings up something I've curious about: Anyone know how many matches Goldberg lost during his career in total? It's gotta be a pretty small number.

I was going to make a joke about Wicket being the face of the company, but quickly realized he's too short for that to work.

The NWO guys just get the regular NWO music. And at most you can only do six man tags. The clip you referenced was probably from the storyline creation mode. You can't even fit all the NWO guys in the same stable. Can anyone answer the following -Do the nWo guys have original/alternate music in the game eg Hennig with the 'Perfect' theme and Steiner with the sirens? Wondering how soon I can disband the group hahaHow many people in the ring at once? In the nWo clip it has 5 of them coming to the ring together. We aren't getting ten man tags are we?

WTF did Chimel do to deserve two AAs? That is conduct unbecoming of a babyface. Hulk Hogan never would have done that to the Fink.

And getting blasted into the giant sand vagina by the blind guy?
Besides helping the Empire find Solo and taking him to Jabba, you mean? And helping draw Luke back in the process?
Outside of wearing a kickass mask, name one thing Boba Fett does right.
I don't even...
Mark Henry is not a jobber.I'm sorry, but I can't accept any answer for Mark Henry other than Boba Fett.

Last night's RAW just sickened me.
Those idiot fans chanting "YES! YES! YES!" for a lumbering stiff like The Big Show instead of deafening "WE WANT DANIEL BRYAN! WE WANT DANIEL BRYAN!" and "CM PUNK! CM PUNK!" chants.
If you took every wrestling fan in the Western world and offered them the choice between watching Low Ki vs. Naomichi Marufuji in a 45-minute match, or Kane vs. Big Show in a "battle of the choke slams," 99% would choose Kane vs. Show which just demonstrates how brainless most wrestling fans are.
Mindless zombie sheep dancing to Vince McMahon's tune.
I used to console myself with the belief that things would improve once Vince McMahon died. But when you have Triple H pushing Big Show, a fat fuck who couldn't do a moonsault if his life depended on it, instead of phasing out the big men entirely and only pushing guys based on their workrate and ability to have 4 star matches on a nightly basis, it convinces me that the WWE deserves to burn to the ground in Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy and all their workers spending the rest of their lives living on welfare in a ghetto trailer park in Pinellas Park, Florida (Tampa's white trash neighborhood).
And I understand that things are only going to get worse, from my point of view, before they get better. WWE will be awash in cash with the next TV contract, but I take solace in the fact that house show attendance continues to decline as does PPV revenue.
It will probably be another 15 years, and require Vince croaking, but Triple H and Steph will eventually drive the WWE out of business.
And that will be a glorious day for me when that finally happens.
Did you mean to post this on Cageside Seats? Because I think you took a wrong turn at Albuquerque, so to speak.

I work with a couple of guys who shit at least three times a day during business hours. Four times, if you keep the coffee flowing. If Jae delegates the pooping to staff of underlings with high fiber diets, he can make it work.
And what the hell does "best pure striker" even mean? That phrase has never made any damn sense to me.

The WWE needs to sign him when his TNA contract runs out in a couple of months and introduce him as the guy who screwed Big Show out of his house. Forget Sting vs Taker, I want Real Estate Steve vs Big Show at Mania.

Punk was relatively massive when he got called up, and had Heyman pushing for him behind the scenes, too. If he was in OVW looking like he does now, he'd have been screwed.

I'm not sure who to root for...
Oh, thank god. They set up Anderson vs Bully, No DQ for Turning Point next week with the added stipulations that if Anderson wins, Aces & Eights must disband but if Bully wins then Anderson is gone from TNA.
-
While I think they could have used Hero on the main roster, I don't think this is some massive, wasted opportunity. He doesn't really bring anything to the table that they can't get from anyone else on the roster. I'd be more upset if they got rid of Rusev.

I thought the character was planned right before Russo arrived, and the promo Dustin gave during his debut was Russo's way of ditching it because he hated it? I have no idea were I heard that, do I may be imagining it.

More specifically, if you go to the online mode through the game itself, there's a section called "Community Creations" where you can download a ton of CAWs.How do you get the CAW's if you play on PS3? Dumb/lazy question I know...

It's even better than TNA buying that ugly fucking belt for Jeff Hardy a few months after ruining a PPV main event by being loaded.

Ever accidentally step on a Lego in barefeet? That shit hurts.
That doesn't sound so bad. Now, Duplos, on the other hand....Legos. It's from this year's BOLA.

I wonder if he ever actually called this spot, or if he just lifted dudes up in the air like he was gonna suplex them, then surprised them by spiking them into the mat. Because I can't imagine that anyone with an ounce of self-preservation instincts would agree to that willingly.
