Imagine how crazy she'll get when Paige gets called up. Because you know Punk is gonna try to hook up with her at some point. It's inevitable.

Something that I've tossed around in my head for a while, does anybody have any opinion on this statement:
Christian wouldn't have become World Heavyweight Champion in WWE if he'd not gone to TNA and won the NWA Title.
Not necessarily because of the NWA Title, but to prove himself in a main event role. He was moving up around 2005 when he had matches and segments with the Cenas of the world, but he wasn't really "there".
thoughts?
True, and you can probably add Edge retiring suddenly to the list of things that needed to happen in order for Christian to get the belt.

I guess there's a rumor going around that somehow Triple H is going to end up with the belts at the end of the night. I think I would prefer that to Orton winning.
-
Maybe he just wanted to rub his balls in Batista's face.

It's a moot point because there's no way AJ gets signed. They're not hiring a guy in his mid-30s that can't cut a promo and hasn't drawn money for anyone more relevant than TNA.
-
That picture would have made for the greatest Survivor Series match EVER.

I'm not sure that's much of a gamble since he's probably done wrestling when his WWE career is up.I thought I read somewhere that Punk took a gamble, and let WWE trademark his name.
But if he wanted to use the name for other projects/etc. when he's retired, he'll still have to be in the company in some capacity. You'll notice Austin doesn't refer to himself as Stone Cold on his podcast.
-
So Booker T's promotion just announced that Michael Cole will also be at the show this Saturday.
-
Or just give him a name with the initials "AJ" and ignore the ugly tattoo. Y'all are overthinking this.

He wasn't booked remotely as well as either guy, but he was over and he could have been a big star.
Imagine Goldberg jobbed to Hogan and fucked off? Or Batista lost to Triple H and fucked off?Not dissing the guy, be it should've been obvious that Ryback was a guy that one be a one main-event-push kind of guy. I just don't see how anyone could've expected a guy who built his whole gimmick/moveset on "top star food" to have momentum to last once he feuded with a top guy.
Ryback wasn't remotely as over as either guy.
If they had protected him and given him better booking, Ryback absolutely could have been a big star. So what if he has a bad attitude, is super reckless, and has to be led through his matches. I just described Goldberg, too. And he had the extra handicap of working in WCW. It can be done.

How did the wrestling world allow the last few matches in Mick Foley's body to get wasted on TNA?
There is a very good chance that Sting may end his career in TNA. That's a shame.
-
No they didn't. He left before they had a chance to do anything with him. TNA had him for years and never did anything meaningful with him.

After posting a Mark Briscoe promo in another thread it got me thinking: How awesome would it be for the Briscoes to join the Wyatt Family?
They'd have to simplify their wrestling style a lot, wouldn't they? No more working matches like they were in a video game.
-
Stevie Ray was the work horse on that team. Think about that for a second.
Speaking of Stevie Ray, I'm going to Booker T's promotion's show this Saturday, and apparently Stevie is going to be making an appearance. I'm way more excited about that than I should be.

More like paralyzed for a week after he slammed, and killed the 1000 pound Andre in front of 500,000 fans, the President of the United States, and the Emperor, and Empress of the planet Betelgeuse, dude.
You throw a guy the size of Andre into the seventh row and you're bound to be a little sore the next day, brother.

It's been 10 years since Austin meant anything to wrestling.
Did you see the pop Duggan got the last time he was in the Royal Rumble a couple of years ago? It was MASSIVE. Don't underestimate the power of nostalgia.
-
For fuck's sake, people actually think Punk would bring up Austin beating Debra? You've got to be kidding me.

I would think Vince would say yes, but they would find some passive-agressive way of shitting all over the angle, like have the announcers call Austin old and broken down all the time.
-
The comments I've seen said that he thinks he could come back and wrestle full time for a couple of years, and be at about 75-90% of what he was before he retired. But that he also had absolutely no desire to do that, and I can't imagine a match against Triple H would convince him to come back for even one payday.
-
Sweet. Thanks.
-
I don't think I've seen the Rikishi match, but I really like the Sunday Night Heat match Val had with Punk.

That kid's getting a contact high.

Hell no. The first two matches weren't nearly good enough to justify a third.

In Bischoff's defense, TNA was pretty much a lost cause by the time he got there.
