What is the reason they didn’t pick up experienced women like Marsha Slamovich or Killer Kelly when they were available? Why not Jordynne Grace now? Trinity? Kairi Sane? Use Kiera Hogan beyond being a jobber, she showed so much more than her current position when she was in iMPACT. Look at iMPACT’s women division & compare it to AEW’s. The Hex & Kilynn King were/are right there. Put Athena on TV, the fixes are right there but not sure he’s ever wanted to fix them. Tony hired AQA, Marina Shafir, Madison Rayne, Taya Valkyrie & Layla Grey instead. May just be about talent evaluation *shrugs*

Still not sure how Best Friends won by DQ though. Trent hit Malakai with a chair and some how they won by DQ because of that??? . Chuck was put through a table which happens quite frequently tbh. Example Punk vs Wardlow. One of the AEW refs was just on Twitter a few days ago saying it wasn't a dq unless they hit a competitor with a table.

Nashville traffic is absolutely awful. And nothing but agreement about the Ryman's seating. There's a new arena in Bellevue which is right outside of Nashville. Clarksville has some good venues too. There is a ton of college arenas here in Nashville though, it's a reason we're caller the Athens of the South.

Punk doesn't even have to be there, just playing Cult of Personality to distract The Elite would do the trick. The tease of his return and feud with The Elite would cost them the titles. Just playing his music would set the anticipation to a fevered pitch IMO.

I'll repost what I put in another thread. All the AEW shows for Q1 2023 are up except one. Only two separate Rampage tapings. Strong is usually taped in North Carolina, Philly or at an LA studio setting.

Rumors circulating that ROH combining with New Japan Strong in some way is a strong possibility. And that is what Tony was hinting at in the scrum. That would certainly be a choice if true.

Totally agree! Feels like missed opportunities, instead we got the never ending JAS vs BCC feud . Remember the last ROH PPV ended with FTR beating the Briscoes in a 2 out of 3 falls match and then ROH Champion Cladio & ROH Pure Champion Yuta coming out to confront them to end the show? Absolutely nothing came of that . Why did we get none of the Danielson/Mox team vs the tag division? Mox/Danielson vs FTR, Bucks, SIOG, Acclaimed, Lucha Brothers, etc. that was the way it started with them teaming and beating the lower tier teams. Even more recently what happened with Yuta-Danielson-Garcia-Jericho? Doesn't seem like there has ever been a clear plan for Claudio, just so many missed opportunities instead we just got good matches. Good matches are always good but the setup dictated more IMO.

So Starks is having 2 matches on Rampage? Because the other 1st round match between Starks/Archer still hasn't happened and the winner still has to face Brian Cage after that. Looking forward to the return of Top Flight and AR Fox getting a shot. Fox is already on part 3 of the Willow Nightingale process of getting a contract. Part 1: impress on Dark/Elevation. Part 2: Finally win a match on Dark/Elevation. Part 3: Make the main shows. Part 4 is getting a win on Dynamite or Rampage and getting the contract. It doesn't hurt when the fans get behind you during this process lol.

I would have had FTR vs Acclaimed at Full Gear with the Acclaimed winning. Then build to a rematch at Winter is coming that Acclaimed win again and then have FTR start questioning are they really the best tag team in the world. This could lead to Dax doing promos about his family and how much longer do they have in the business and if they can't win the big one (only titles that matter to them) is it time to hang it up (crisis of faith in themselves despite them being triple champs). This would lead to the 3rd match where they finally win. That would give the Acclaimed a nice long run and complete the belt collector storyline with FTR. It would be AEW's #1 fued.

Wouldn't it make sense to elevate Yuta? Not sure if he is ready but the story is right there. He's able to dowhat his mentor couldn't and beats Jericho while Danielson tries to get the pure title from Garcia since there is more settle between them too. It would continue what they're already doing and flows seamlessly with that interview last night which I presume is leading to a match between Yuta & Danielson.

They are already signed to ROH but they also presumably can't appear on TV after that executive said no. What will they do with them? What can be done with them? The ROH roster is starting to fill out if the rumors of the Bandido signing is true and the assumed signing of the Kingdom/OGK.

That's his job to make the matches compelling by making them feuds and not just dream match after dream match. There is Wardlow shouldn't be beating Upper mid careers and then when he wins the title revisit those feuds with a twist aka like the planned MJF vs Punk stuff (also MJF vs Moxley has already main evented an AEW PPV and they are doing that again because people/charaters evolve and the fued can be fresh again). Instead the guys just aren't used because he doesn't want certain guys to lose. (Orton vs Cena was just an example) There are dozens of examples of stalled momentum.

I think one of the main issue along with the general unrest in the locker room is the 50/50 booking. Guys are cycled in and out and go missing because Tony doesn't want certain people to lose. 2 of your biggest acts are The Acclaimed and FTR, why aren't you building towards that match? That will draw money and ratings. Someone has to lose but there momentum doesn't have to stagnant if you continue to book them strongly. He has been a huge wrestling buff so he should know that huge acts wrestled all the time and a loss didn't make them less over. He does this with too many acts. There is no reason for a guy like Wardlow to be missing for weeks with a giant roster. Build him up by have him have matches with perceived important guys. And if he later wins the top title there isn't a reason you can't run that program again. (How many times did Cena face Orton in PPV main events over the years, The Rock vs HHH from the IC title on up.)

Don't the Briscoes have a very similar story as well? Mark just had a scare with his newest child Big Murph and his wife. And the Briscoes have a lot of kids so logically wouldn't they be doing all of this for their kids as well. And they don't have the big contracts with AEW so they have to wrestle everywhere to make ends meet and they think they are the best tag team in the world. It's literally the same thing lol.
