  1. I skipped the girls match, but the two tags were both pretty great. The body of the actual main event was probably better, but the Wyatts vs PTP had a real nice hot tag and Darren Young really is a quality Ricky Morton tribute. Finish came maybe a little quick in that one, but I still really dug it.
  2. Kane looks like he's wearing Johnny Ace's suit, which gets me to thinking - can we please get a Mr Laurinaitis return and babyface run against Triple H?! I'd watch.
  3. Not a huge fan of Sandow's treatment, but I really liked the match. In WWE land, this is probably somehow the start of a face-turn.
  4. Yeah, DDP lost to it in his last WWE match.
  5. They'll likely ignore a lot of his NXT character like they have with guys like Big E and Seth Rollins in the past.
  6. That's a pretty big win for the Wyatt Family after last week, glad they don't seem to be giving up on them yet.
  7. Yeah spot on, mildly repetitive commentary makes all the great matches we've had on free TV this year seem really dull.
  8. Watching a three hour show in ten minutes always gives you the best impression of what that show was like.
  9. Damn, yeah that Smothers performance is pretty great. Shame he tends to show up as a face and as such doesn't get a chance to put on that kind of a show, because he clearly can still go in the right environment.
  10. The khakis thing could easily have been delayed baggage or something like that, seems an odd look to try out.
  11. He still has "Big Guy" and "Big Traps" on his singlet straps, so there's hope.
  12. CJ Parker is the worst. Tyler Breeze and Aiden English do their gimmicks well, but I meant in-ring. I'm also talking about Scott Dawson, Enzo Amore and that other guy. Alexander Rusev I can get behind so far. I'll agree from an in-ring standpoint in regards to Enzo and Big Cass, although Enzo had a singles with someone a few weeks back that I really liked. I think Breeze is pretty great in ring too, I forget his old name but he was always really fun to watch back in FCW as the underdog babyface. English's first match under the new gimmick was a fine squash, so that's really all you can ask for. Granted he's worked in the past, but mostly just as a fall guy with no time to do anything of note.
  13. Which new guys suck? I'm not a big fan of CJ Parker, but Aiden English and Tyler Breeze are awesome.
  14. Aiden English knocked it out of the freaking park. Seriously, great promo/song on the way to the ring, backed up by an impressive squash. He's instantly over. Disagree with the call for him to shave his head too, I think it really suits the gimmick.
  15. You know, it's not either really set the world on fire since the split, I wonder why they don't just go "Eh, this worked once, let's put them back together." and then we won't have to listen to Riley reminisce about the good old days anymore. I heard Regal on a '12 NXT show go "Alex Riley always gets these amazing reactions and I'm not quite sure why." It's the first 20 seconds of his music. B. Brian Blair could get a huge pop with that. I think B. Brian Blair's dropkick was better than anything A-Ry has ever done. That being said, Riley's face turn was pretty great
  16. It still boggles my mind that Coach called a WrestleMania main event. As has been mentioned, 2004 was a great Royal Rumble and will always be one of my favourites along with 2001. 1992 rightly gets praised lavished upon it, but these two are right up there with it in my eyes. Also, even without a proper finish, this is a fucking great cage match. Really feels like a chaotic mess of a fight, in the best way possible, rather than just using the cage as a means to do one or two big highspots. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4qp64_sd-14-03-08-edge-edgeheads-chavo-vs_sport http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4qqmr_sd-14-03-08-edge-edgeheads-chavo-vs_sport
  17. That Finlay vs Dandy match was great, thanks for posting it!
  18. Yeah, in fact I'm pretty sure he's beat everyone in the last few weeks, admittedly by DQ some of the time.
  19. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x11s7f2_belfast-bruiser-vs-bill-payne_sport Bill Payne is a pretty good worker by the looks of things for a jobber that I've never heard of and takes the tombstone like a true champion. A champion who then died of multiple head injuries.
  20. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x12j0u2_haku-vs-jim-evans-event-center-promos_sport Really fun stuff from Haku, his offense looks fantastic here. Tasty looking backbreakers, piledriver and DAT finish.
  21. Yes! A cross between him and Doug Stanhope.
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT3l4KPKPPw Kevin Sullivan squashes are usually pretty damn good, and this is a great one. Looks like he's killing the poor fucker.
  23. Totally, I'll get this amended later today.
  24. Kamala vs Mike Khoury - WCW Worldwide, 1st Jul 95 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNKw-FYa14E Even in '95, Kamala could knock out a good squash. It looks like this was his WCW debut, so it gets over his character and he's doing the "wrong way round pin" shtick again, which I always kinda liked. Fun beatdown after the match too, him and Sullivan were a fine double act. This made me want to see a competitive mid-90s Kamala match, though if I did I'd probably be disappointed.
  25. One of my favourite pics from the last show I did...
