  1. If you view Sabin as playing the role of Ron Garvin-esque placeholder champion where Bully is going to get it back in a rematch before Bound for Glory, is there someone better suited to that role? Is there someone who would be hurt by being put into that role? It seems like a reasonable reward for a long-time company guy.
  2. I wonder if Orton as corporate champ cashing in on the winner of Cena/Bryan, whether at Summerslam or not, would result in a three-way match where Stephanie is in Daniel Bryan's corner, HHH is in Cena's corner, and Vince is in Orton's corner. Heck, throw in special guest referee Brad Maddox. Add in some sort of military themed gimmick and that could be your Battleground main event.
  3. Obviously, Punk should have been asking for lunch boxes instead of ice cream bars.
  4. I look forward to Cena busting out submission maneuvers that we've never seen him use.
  5. Who would be the better lumberjack, Mark Henry or vegan William Regal with a beard?
  6. I'm not really a horror fan, but I've always thought that Scream 3 should have had Sydney turn out to be Ghostface for that installment.
  7. To get an A, you would have had to incorporate a "reverse Davey Richards" into your concept.
  8. The season needs to be a few episodes longer so that it can naturally lead to an all-Diva traditional Survivor Series match.
  9. Davey Richards reveals himself. Mike Tenay says, "I don't know who that is!"
  10. There are several definitions of nutted.
  11. Well, yeah, I'm just saying if I was in charge, that's what I would do. The sound of a million internet weenies crying about John Cena being in an hour-long match would be highly-satisfying.
  12. Well, as long as we're fantasy booking. I'd have Cena win at Summerslam due to Vince shennanigans, leading Cena to say "Not that way!" and demand a rematch on Raw. Then I'd have Brad Maddox piss off Vince by making the rematch for the following Raw. Daniel Bryan says he proved he can win three matches in a row, so how about two-out-of-three falls. Maddox says "Great idea!" and books Cena in a gauntlet match of his own. Cena practically squashes Swagger but has a bit of a harder time with Antonio Cesaro before prevailing. Then, he shocks everyone by losing cleanly to Curtis Axel. This leads to the question of whether Cena can last (ignoring that he beat Ryback in a 3 Stages of Hell match at Payback). The next week on Raw, Cena vs Bryan. They trade submissions in the first two falls, but more wackiness leads to a non-finish in the third fall. (And the reason I am putting this on Raw is because I don't want to end a PPV that way.) On the next Raw, Cena and Bryan decide to up the ante even further. After a dueling promo, they both agree to demand that at the next PPV, Night of Champions, they will have a one-hour Iron Man match. While there are teases of a Montreal homage, the title match ends up being straight-forward. Cena jumps out to a 3-1 lead in the first half-hour, but it becomes clear he is running out of steam. Daniel Bryan chips away at the lead and it ends up being 4-4 with five minutes left. In the end, Daniel Bryan gets one last pinfall with a roll-up, as Cena is just too exhausted to kick out. Barely able to stand, Cena hands Daniel Bryan the belt, raises his hand, then quietly exits the ring to let Bryan have his moment. As he walks backward up the ramp, he is hit from behind. It's Randy Orton! Daniel Bryan barely has the energy to fight back and eventually succumbs and Randy Orton is champion. As a final indignity, he gives Bryan a punt to the head. He is reported to be suffering from a severe concussion. The next PPV, three weeks away is Battleground. Since it apparently will not be the return of Wargames, let's say it has some weapons matches to fit the theme. Orton defeats Cena in bloodless hardcore match. Orton's celebration on Raw is cut short by a returning Daniel Bryan, who attacks Orton and demands a match at the next PPV. SInce that PPV is Hell in a Cell, guess what kind of match Daniel Bryan wants. I'd be tempted to have Cena and Bryan trade the title back-and-forth a couple of times before dropping the Orton bomb on them, but I'm not sure it is a good idea to have that match on three straight PPVs. Can it be stretched out with defenses against other wrestlers mixed in so that the rubber match is at TLC?
  13. The most logical person for Orton to cash it in on would be Bryan. The whole "weak link" stuff seemed to be building towards someone out of Bryan/Kane/Orton winning MITB and cashing it in on another of the group. It doesn't have to be at Summerslam. If the storyline is Orton needing the briefcase then ducking a rematch because he can't win a fair fight, then Bryan having previously beaten Orton just adds to that. (But they've actually traded wins between Payback and Money in the Bank.)
  14. Did Sandow's promo make anyone else think that we could end up with Sandow vs Rhodes in a match with a briefcase vs mustache stipulation?
  15. They've already told the union. And it seems like the teams know.
  16. It makes it more likely that Wally West never shows up anywhere. Somehow. Because the universe hates you.
  17. Dolph Ziggler: World Champion I forgot to add in the condition that the angle had to be reasonably executed so that people can't complain that the wrestler was poorly booked, which is a complain that some have about how Ziggler was used.
  18. I feel like TNA could have decent commentary if they made Borash the lead announcer and put Tenay back into a role where his job is to educate viewers and not to sell storylines.
  19. I'm imaging how awesome it would be, yet how the fans probably wouldn't buy it if Dusty goes to WWF, then Flair comes a year later and Dusty cuts a promo about knowing who is he and warning people that Ric Flair is nothing but a snake. Then you have a Hogan/Dusty vs Brainbusters match and Flair runs in to attack Hogan. Dusty turns on Hogan and WWF runs an invasion angle without mentioning NWA/WCW. Then, Vince pisses everyone off by having Hogan down 4-to-1 in a Survivor Series match and coming back to win. Which makes me wonder if there are any angles that hardcore fans such as those on this forum love but which promotions were justified in pulling the plug on early (or should have) because the fans just weren't buying it.
  20. I think I got gold on more than half of the flight school stuff using a keyboard in San Andreas.
  21. A part of me is hoping that someone like MGFanJay will post weekly screenshots that make this a difficult task.
  22. Having something for everyone usually means having a show where no one likes everything. And that's okay. Desirable, even. There's just a sense of entitlement on the part of fans now, where everyone thinks their favorite part of the show has to be pushed hard. That's not a POV that is isolated to wrestling fans. Dear God, watching some shippers and anti-shippers have a flame war over some crappy TV show can be worse than watching internet fans argue over the merits of John Cena. Wrestling, because its TV events are either live or very recently taped, give fans a sense of empowerment that they can feed their sense of entitlement by throwing hissy fits at shows or online. Maybe the next boom will be fueled by giving fans much more significant match-making power than what they currently do through the WWE app. It will involve finding the right balance in giving fans the matches they want to see without always giving them the outcomes they want to see and without being too predictable about it.
  23. How do people feel about the Whose Line revival now that it has aired a few episodes?
  24. Pretty sure Gonzalez would have mentioned if he got any positive hits. And he should be banned if he did but didn't link us to pics.
