  1. OK, but in the Breaking Bad world the show runners are as vague about Gus's connections and size of his empire as they are about the cartel stuff. "Realistically" is sort of relative to the world they are living in, ya know? To me it doesn't seem like an over-simplification, it just seems more confined. We don't have all the pieces of Gus's story, just the ones related to Walt.
  2. I don't see how. The partnership had dried up and Gus couldn't even get the cartel guys to sit down with him until he gave them a cook. Considering Walt and Gus's relationship at the time, he couldn't let them have Jesse. He also couldn't sit around and let the cartel pick off his guys. Anywho.. Brilliant episode. The confession and Jesse's revelation were the highlights, but I thought the double date from hell was just as good of a scene. Did Walt hug Jesse as a play or was is it simply a genuine show of emotion? It worked either way. Sepinwall has a cool little recap of everything involving the ricin cig. I had absolutely no recollection of Jesse blaming Huell for the missing cig when he initially confronted Walt.
  3. The relationship between Gus and the Cartel was falling apart when they made that trip to Mexico. They used the revenge angle to set up the stuff with Hector, but the poisoning of all the cartel guys felt more like a business move.
  4. Looks like the running knee is here to stay. Cool Show/Henry squash and Shield promo, but the main event was the highlight for sure.
  5. I read somewhere that Mike from Breaking Bad is going to be on Community next season!!! I guess they are shooting season 5 in Belize.
  6. Seriously, though... Punk/Henry, Punk/Cena, Punk/Vince and Punk/Cena: Raw version stack up favorably against Bryan's top end stuff from the timeframe. Add in the championship reign and how often they relied on him to fill up 30+ minutes of live TV, yeah, I think he definitely got screwed. Bryan's going to win this year and next year and the year after that. Last year was Punk's year and you bitches screwed him out of petty jealousy and spite!
  7. Loved the main event, but agree that it doesn't seem as impressive after Cena/Bryan and Punk/Lesnar. Sort of wish they would have edited a few things around and found a way to get this on an earlier episode. I've been hearing about it for over a month. Still, great work. Cesaro's chin lock is the best cut off spot in wrestling right now. When you throw in the spin, it does actually look like a finisher somehow. I hope he ends raw matches with it when they eventually push him again. I'm about 99% sure they know what they have in the guy, so he can continue on as the solid hand who gets beat for the time being. Completely agree that Zayn > Generico.
  8. This Punk > Bryan trolling can't be good for March Madness, but I appreciate it. HE SHOULD HAVE WON LAST YEAR DAMNIT!
  9. He had no clue, the gimmick wasn't fully invested in the Twitter account. He just knows I exist - which is more than any of you fan boys can say isn't it? Doesn't that make it even better, though? Your arch-enemy inadvertently created a window for the rest of the board to see into your unfiltered soul. Those few pages where you were denying it was the most cringy thing. So awesome. Does Anna Kendrick know you exist too?

    The Bridge

Are we supposed to know how Linder separated himself from Fausto, Fausto's friend and the corpse? Did I miss something? His whole subplot has turned really sloppy after the hot start.
  11. I will honestly like any comment related to Punk outing FSW as the horrible scum of the internet that he is. I wish I could have seen the actual twitter feed instead of the choice bits of proof that people posted when FSW was trying to deny it.
  12. Read this. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/9588366/page/2/an-interview-wwe-superstar-corporate-officer-triple-h
  13. Holy shit. Roy Hibbert is jacked now.
  14. Lesnar is the best heel wrestler on the roster right now and it's not even close, but ADR is up there. His brutality really made those matches with Dolph. I've never been sold on his character work, though. He is about at Randy Orton levels on the mic, but he just doesn't get the same thought put into his storylines. That part might never click, but he is still a really good hand. Speaking of Orton, he could easily leapfrog ADR on my best heel wrestler list depending on how they handle the next few months. I'm excited for the potential of motivated heel Orton.
  15. Where exactly are you in the show? Somewhere in season 3 it seems, but I wouldn't want to spoil anything while responding. Glad you picked the show back up, as it gets more intense every season.
  16. I'm rooting for Hank and I probably have been for a few seasons now. For one, he has to put up with Marie every day and that alone makes him a sympathetic figure. He has that fake tough guy persona he uses to cover up his weaknesses, but still has to be a badass from time to time. Just a well thought out character and the shootout with the twins is still a top 5 moment. I think he actually did want to help Skylar out of a horrible situation, but the meeting in the diner was first and foremost about the recorder in his pocket. There have been quite a few different takes on that scene, but I don't for one second believe that Hank considered Skylar innocent. I still think he wants to help her (if only for Marie and the kids), but in the diner he simply thought the best road to answers was to treat her like a victim. Playing dumb to get what he wants is right in Hank's wheelhouse. That is a great point that unfortunately will probably not be addressed. I'm almost 100% certain it will be. Hank only has the job he has because his old boss liked to grill out with Gus Fring from time to time. The relationship with Walt is obviously much much worse, but Hank still believes that he can keep his job if he brings in the case. It's certainly not going to happen that way and I think the rehab money will play a big part in that.
  17. I'm on the other side of this, as WWE has finally gotten me to stop watching after over 25 years. ...you didn't even watch this show any more. As I mentioned, I turned it on for a moment while cooking. As of late, I've been passing on the shows and just watching highlights afterwards. This week I didn't even bother with that. Yet you still found a way to complain about it. Yikes.
  18. Bryan has always been a "too tough for his own good" type of character. He got over initially by attacking Mark fucking Henry of all people.
  19. What were those little patches on the Shield's gear? Couldn't tell from my computer screen, but if they are WWE logos that would be awesome.
  20. Reddit is still half "Cena is the worst!!!", but even they seem to be along for the ride with this angle. I wish more people here would give that a shot.
  21. Best post. The bold section is really the main issue I have with the reaction to this show.
  22. That is part of the story, though. It's not some mistake or gap in logic. Bryan has never had to deal with anything like this new group before. He will have to adapt to overcome the odds and get what he wants. Basic stuff, really.
