I saw Derrick Rose has finally said he is 100%, that he will definitely play in the preseason opener, and should (!!!) play in the season opener. He has to be trolling at this point, right?
Also, I fully realize that by making fun of this, I am tempting the basketball gods by throwing stones in the glass house I have built out of Kyrie Irving's brittle, brittle body.

Thinking about it, I feel like Sandow's superior intelligence leading to the perfect cash in time can lead to some really fun promos and storylines, but it has to eventually lead to him failing and having egg on his face, right?
Orton having the briefcase is great for one simple reason: the pop that will happen when he lines up for the punt on a fallen champion will be insane. I'm not crazy about the idea of an Orton title reign, but that moment will be one that can go on video packages and the like for years.

That's pretty gross. On a related note, I realized this week that I text too much about wrestling when my phone tried to auto correct 'also' to 'Aldo Montoya'.I'm gonna assume Hooker types it so often that his phone added it to autocorrect.

I was there live tonight, and had a really great time. Counting the pre-show match, I thought 4 matches were worth seeking out. Sheamus was just so awesome. Dude gives absolutely zero fucks. The bumps he took and shook off made me want to see him as a no selling monster heel.
A couple moments stood out for me that probably didn't read on television. One was a ten or eleven year old boy with a 'Who booked the crap?' sign which he kept holding up. That sign made me glad Bray Wyatt didn't come to Philly. The second was a dude trying to start a 'You still got it' chant for RVD as he was getting his ass kicked right at the start of the match.
Also after the show, my girlfriend almost got in to a fender bender with Green Lantern Fan.

I came to post about the lack of Popeye Jones, but RandomAct beat me to it. Ronaldinho is a great one. I remember when someone hacked his website and deleted everything except for "(Picture of Donkey) + (PIcture of Osama Bin Laden) = (Picture of Ronaldinho)". It was amazing.

I forgot until reading this thread how much awesome shit happens in the second half of book three. I almost think it will be too much for some unsullied, and people will be turned off by everyone fucking dying. If the past seasons are indications, the upcoming episodes will be great because the show is at its best when its building towards giant battles.

If they don't make an X Statix movie (which would be too fucking awesome for the world), I think the X Force movie needs to be animated/CGI-ified so that all of the actors look like Rob Leifield drawings. That movie would be the stuff of nightmares. No one would have feet.

I laughed at Bill Simmons idea of instead of selling "bottoming out" to Kobe, tell him the team needs him to shoot as much as humanly possible and put up 40 every night. The end result is the same, but Kobe stays happy anyway.

How awesome would it be if someone threw 240 pitches in today's game? ESPN would froth at the mouth for an hour until footage of Tim Tebow playing catch with Tom Brady at mini camp surfaced, and then we would never hear about it again.

Anyone have picks they feel strongly about tonight? I think Cody wins the briefcase and feuds with Sandow until he is ready to cash in. I also have a sinking feeling that Sheamus wins the Raw one.

Speaking of RTC, I had a dream last night where Ivory came back at MitB and cut a promo that was kind of like when Juvi would do those Rock rip off promos. My dream would have been more realistic if she had a different name, but the crowd kept chanting "Ivory" at her.

My dad and I had season tickets to Georgetown games for a bit, and I remember a couple of the games with Iverson, particularly one against a Ray Allen UConn team, which was awesome.
I also saw Tim Hardaway drop 50 one time, which was cool.

I'm really glad these are back. I don't think it would necessarily count as a B movie, but can you find it in your heart to do Night of the Comet? That movie, along with Say a Prayer for the Roller Boys, has long been at the top of my guilty pleasure list.

The best part of that show was when the one kid got laughed out of the store because he asked for a book on how to play doubles, which of course would probably happen in real life but for very different reasons.I'm probably late to the party, but I have been watching Attack on Titan, which is pretty awesome through the first ten episodes or so.It's all about PRINCE OF TENNIS.

The city of Cleveland has convinced (deluded?) itself in to think Mike Brown is a defensive genius and all of these players, most notably Kyrie and Tony Bennett, who haven't even shown interest in playing defense, will suddenly become stoppers. I think Waiters is probably the only one who makes a leap. Maybe Thompson, he is do athletic.
Still hoping for a five seed.

I think you guys are sleeping on the most important thing is this thread: Saba Simba and Kamala had the exact same shield. I'd try and postulate what this could mean, but it would be impossible to do without being irrevocably racist.

While this board was down, I visited a couple other boards to try and get my fix. The amount of concern trolling by wrestling fans over this Tammy thing is unbelievable. Almost as unbelievable as the percentage of those fans that would clearly shell out cash for this. I remember reading when she did bikini shoots a few years ago, she had a strict no contact rule. I imagine this will be the same, advertising or not.
The Husky Harris chants were just the worst. Wrestling fans are the worst. If everyone in the world acted like wrestling fans, every Matt Damon movie would just be two straight hours of morons chanting "Good Will Hunting! Clap clap clapclapclap". It's as though now that we have Wikipedia, every crowd is like that MSG Royal Rumble crowd that lost their shit for surprise Cena before remembering they were supposed to hate him and started booing.

I'm still JRGoldman, and I love the fact that the lights went out and when they came back on I was 9 spaces higher in the standings. It makes me feel like Sabu. This metaphor will be complete when I botch the triple jump moonsault that is the rest of the summer, and I find myself sprawled on a concrete floor as a man in a straw hat and bright shirt chants "You fucked up" and another man in a comic book themed t shirt disapprovingly stops his stopwatch.

So that Chris Grant gentleman got Andrew Bynum to sign a contract that is only worth 6 million against the cap in the first year and has a player option for year two, with most of the incentives being games played based. Also signed Jarrett Jack.
I don't eat to get my hopes up but I actually think the Cavs could have a pretty high ceiling in a year when most are tanking. I'm hoping for the five seed.

I think Ol' Reliable is going to be my personal nickname for Bynum. I really think the Cavs are planning on getting 41 games each out of Varejao and Bynum, and they are just hoping against hope that those 41 games don't overlap at all.
