  1. Let's see YOU map out how to miss all those blocks along the OL, Mr Smart Guy. It takes work to not account for multiple DL on every play.
  2. Clearly not enough. Gotta pay for an OC, OL and QB
  3. A&M had run 35 plays on offense with less than 5 minutes to go in the game. That's got to be some kind of record. That's against a team that gave up 63 points last week
  4. Thing is, this is just normal OL play for A&M. Has been since the mid 90s. There is the usual exception, like 2020. Or when we had Manziel and four first round picks at OL. But usually it looks like this. Jimbos weird ability to have terrible OL play fits right in.
  5. That’s putting it mildly. They’re outplaying the Ags pretty easily. Having watched last week’s gave vs an FCS opponent, I’m not even mildly surprised. Might be time for Jimbo to admit that last century’s offense isn’t cutting it any longer. Also, a functional OL would be nice. Wonder if any of our 649 five star D line recruits can block.
  6. So Saban’s kryptonite is playing in Texas against a team playing its’ injured backup without a viable third stringer? Was running a kids baseball practice, so I didn’t watch till the last five minutes. All the Texas fans at the fields were already anticipating being in the playoff this year.
  7. A&M QBs currently on NFL rosters (unless I'm really blanking and forgetting somebody - is Bucky Richardson still playing for the Oilers?) - two guys that transferred out the same year. - a guy who we mostly played at WR, and who now mostly hands off to Derrick Henry That's a heck of a track record.
  8. Ugh. This does not fill me with confidence. Small sample size of course, but he did not look good last year. He looked lost on the field half the time. And had a bad case of happy feet
  9. Ugh. Two Billy Joel songs before 9 AM on a Saturday. Either my kids class needs to end or I need to switch from caffeine to alcohol.
  10. Shhh. You'll ruin the story for my fellow Ags.
  11. Maybe he can borrow Tom Herman's pee charts. Frost strikes me as somebody who reads The Junction Boys to his kids at bedtime.
  12. My mother in law still uses it. Father in law would if he knew how to turn on their PC. When I’m 75 years old I’ll probably stick to ridiculously outdated things too.
  13. There's a disturbingly large subset of parents/coaches/etc at kids games that actually think that way. People with failed athletic ambitions trying to live through their kids. I coached an 8 and under coach pitch team this spring. The rules are that play isn't dead till the the ball is back in the pitcher's hands. Most teams took that to mean that if the ball was in the infield the play was over and they'd hold their baserunners. But not everybody. One team decided to take advantage of the actual rule by having their pitcher essentially try to hide anytime the ball was in play. He'd run off into a corner, turn his back to the play, and make it impossible to throw the ball to him. Then, they'd have their runners going all the time they could. In the field, they'd try to hide the ball and physically push my kids off the bases. Their infielders would stand in the basepaths and try to block the baserunners. All of that because they desperately needed to win a damn 8u game. I finally got fed up and said fuck it. Told my better fielders that when they had the ball they needed to stand in front of the lead baserunner and stare at em till the umpire called time. And told all my kids not to leave the base for any reason if they couldn't see the ball. Then I left the field and sat behind the stands for half an inning so I didn't risk becoming that coach. Funny part of that was I knew all the coaches on the other team. And I'd been talking to one of em about having his company do the remodeling on my house, which is a fairly extensive, and expensive, project. My wife beat me to saying hell no to using him after that game - figured if he's being that slimy about a kid's baseball game, there's no way were trusting him on something big. That was an expensive game for him. There was also the t-ball all star team my friends' kid was playing on, where their opponent had to forfeit a game after their head coach got kicked out, the assistant who took over got kicked out, and the second assistant spit on the umpire. Nothing like the police getting called to a t-ball game.
  14. The Normandy's crew has been hanging out at the Citadel DLC party since maybe a month after the remaster release. The may end up there forever. I may have accidentally created the good ending.
  15. My wife actually answered one of the eleventeen billion daily scam calls we get this afternoon. This one said US customs had an arrest warrant out for our her arrest. Would've maybe been a little more believable if the scammer could've actually pronounced her supposed last name (Salazar) remotely correctly. If I had to guess, I'd say neither of us being able to stop laughing probably told her she wasn't going to get anywhere. My wife finally annoyed her enough that she hung up on us.
  16. I know this isn't exactly an original thought, but is there a worse job top level professional sports than running back? You're pretty much guaranteed to get hit on every play if you're on the field. That's got to put you at even higher levels of CTE risk than the average NFL player. Plus it wears your body down insanely quickly. That means you're not likely to get that second contract, which is where players really start to make big money. And even if you do, the league doesn't value your position, so you're not gonna get nearly what you'd get at a position like WR or OT. Carson was a pretty good RB, but he made substantially less in his career than Christian Kirk is gonna make this year.
  17. stuff: - I'm hoping this stuff is legit. Considering the source, I tend to believe it. I'll be glad to be back in Vice City. - That finally explains why Cops & Crooks disappeared. I'd wondered what happened to that, but never knew the explanation. - Mixed feelings on this two character/Latina/Bonnie & Clyde thing. Totally on board with the Latina main. Hopefully the incels and racists decide to boycott the game, and the online player base becomes more tolerable. I wish they'd gone with her as the sole main character, though. I could do without the Bonnie and Clyde part. Since they're going with that approach, I hope they do it right. GTA works better when it's over the top, crazy stuff, rather than attempting for deep and meaningful. The franchise needs more Trevor and less Niko. - I'll be shocked if we see this game before 2025. - Good luck to them with fixing the crunch. I know crunch sucks. And if you're dealing with outside, personal stuff it can become unmanageable really quick. At least they're trying. But if they don't have their project management working right, ultimately they'll be stuck back where they've been in the past.
  18. Cars? You've been out of the GTA loop too long JT. We've been getting charged 20K a pop for blowing up tanks and APCs.
  19. Thing I read said deathmatches. I assume other pvp modes too but I didn’t care enough to look. I assume they’ll keep the current ratio, and this will only be forward looking, but I really dunno. I kinda hope they wipe it completely, just so I can enjoy the wailing and gnashing. either way, I hope it culls the herds of ewo k/d nurses.
  20. Are we sure it's too late?
  21. Info on a bunch of other changes is dribbling out. A bunch of quality of life updates. It's almost like somebody at Rockstar decided to play the game and realized "This shit really pisses me off. I'm gonna do something about this shit." - K/D ratio no longer affected by freemode - no more getting charged for blowing up weaponized personal vehicles - people running races backwards are ghosted, so they can't troll the folks actually racing - option to ghost everybody till the first race checkpoint (though this one would've ruined DVDR crew races. The whole point of those was the big crash at the first turn)
  22. To be fair, Vandy has about the same chance of winning the SEC as my Aggies do. A&M is obviously the better team, but neither of them is winning the conference this year.
  23. I’m still wishing for the maximum chaos scenario - Notre Dame to the SEC.
  24. A bunch of new weaponized stuff. More unnecessary supercars you can't use without getting blown up. And drones. If those are in freemode, that might finally push me into invite only permanently.
