  1. Dude, I wonder how many shows the both of us were at? I used to wear this bright tye dyed dress shirt to all the shows. I got it from a friend who made it and it was awesome. But Garcia died in 95, the only other place I could wear it was at wrestling.
  2. My first show was WrestleMania 1 on Closed Circuit movie screens at the Philly Spectrum when I was 15. The best part of that show was when Bruno ran into the ring to clean house, my mom was jumping up and down and cheering because she loved him from when she was a kid. From there, I went to lots of Crockett shows at the Philly Civic Center, WWF shows at the Spectrum, and Pro Wrestling USA shows at the Meadowlands. I saw Stan Hansen beat Rick Martel for the AWA title at the Meadowlands at one of the PW USA shows, we saw Hogan/ Orndorff in a cage at the Spectrum, and the Crockett shows were always awesome. When my first girlfriend dumped me, my dad and his best friend took me to a day in Philly that wrapped up in a Crockett show at the Civic Center where he and his friend got a contact high from all the weed being smoked in the upper level. That show had a Magnum/ Tully "I Quit" rematch and a Barbarian vs Sam Houston squash that looked so brutal the woman sitting next to us was having a fit screaming that Sam was getting killed while her boyfriend was trying in vain to tell her it was all just a show. The Civic Center also had a superfan, an African American dude who dressed up like Flair and just walked around "WOOOing" all night at every show. Everyone called him the Black Nature Boy and this was years before Scoot Andrews. I also went to Starrcade 86 in Greensboro. I convinced my dad to drive me and my pal Joe from Jersey to North Carolina on Thanksgiving to be third row as my favorite wrestler, Jimmy Valiant finally beat Paul Jones and shaved his head in the last match of their three year feud as Manny Fernandez hung above us in a shark cage. Also, when Tully screwed Dusty out of the TV title in that First Blood match some drunk redneck in the third row a section over from us threw his folding chair at the ring. He then drunkenly tried to mimic sitting down on an invisible chair before security dragged him out kicking and screaming. It was the funniest thing I ever saw at a wrestling show. Years later, my ex and I were at In Your House Mind Games for that Mankind/ HBK match. That was a blast. Then I started going to lots of ROH and JAPW shows between 2004 and 2006 where I met Pete and Ray. The ROH Rexplex shows were all great. I saw three ROH shows in NYC including Joe vs Kobashi. I got to see Vader at a JAPW show once teaming with Mike Awesome against Joe and Dan Maff. ( I think those were the teams, all four were in the match). I saw Generico and his crew debut at JAPW. I also got to see a few shows at the Armory including the Generation Next tent show, the night Joe lost the belt to Aires, the start of the CZW feud with the six man and the end of the feud at COD. I also was at the show in upstate NJ where Punk won the belt to kick off The Summer of Punk. Since I've been in Colorado I've been to a bunch of WWE house shows, a RAW, one TNA show that drew like 185 people with Joe vs AJ on top, two Dynamites, and couple of indy shows. The last WWE house show was in Denver last year and i took my nephew and his friends. It was fantastic and the kids had a blast. Edit: Sorry to list like almost all the shows I went to, but they were all the best. I never didn't have fun at a show.
  3. So I've been laid up with an injury for the last few weeks and I watched S4 of Enterprise. It's actually really good, besides the final episode.
  4. I propose that any arguing about Star Trek in this thread has to be resolved by Twaining.
  5. Yeah, it was fantastic. I loved the whole season and how the finale tied up all the loose strings. Locarno as the big bad and the tie ins to " The First Duty" and "Lower Decks" were great. And the Twaining gag is just the best.
  6. I fell off a ladder at work on the 19th and have been laid up ever since. I got 14 stitches on my chin, smashed my knees and lacerated a shin, and bruised some ribs and sternum. I was ten feet up, the ladder slipped out from under me, and I came down chest first on the ladder. I'm slowly getting better and should be back at work next week. Of course, when I texted my pals I do our YouTube show with about it, they immediately sent me the clip of Joey Mercury getting his face destroyed in that match.
  7. They're the best, but Ventura/ McMahon, Ventura/ Monsoon, Monsoon/ Heenan, and Ross/ Hayes all were great and weren't dropping tons of move names.
  8. It still blows my mind that they use the Grateful Dead as the music to go to break . That would have been insane when Garcia was alive.
  9. I didn't know WOW was on CW. And I was an avid watcher until they cancelled Legends of Tomorrow.
  10. Our Denver feed went to ads right before the end of the tag match and came back like 45 seconds later to the Roman on the ramp with Cody bit. I was wondering if that happened everywhere but I guess not. Nevertheless, that was a great show. And I'm sure there's going to be a lot of " Who the fuck is Nick Aldis?" comments out there. And that's fair. I barely know who he is. But Adam Pearce was exactly the same when they put him on TV, so I'm liking the consistency.
  11. Moonlighting just popped up on Hulu. I haven't seen it since it since the 80's. I'm halfway through the pilot and it's still great. I'm falling in love with Cybil Sheppard all over again.
  12. It was admittedly out of place, and it was also fucking great.
  13. Using the mist twice on one show was a mistake. Because the red mist during the main event was supposed to look like blood. And it worked . But they already did a mist spot earlier.
  14. How fucking cool did Lashley and the Street Profits look? Damn. They're gonna be heels who people love real quick. And big ups to Ford, who worked heel the entire match in the " This guy is an asshole" way.
  15. That show was a blast. It opened hot and closed hot. Everything was good to great.
  16. My friends and I did a podcast on each episode of World Class ending with the Texas Stadium show with Kerry winning the belt. The episodes before the Freebirds show up are insanely bad with a roster of David, Kevin, and Kerry and a gaggle of never wases and washed up guys. It's wild .
  17. No, it was far worse. He made a sex tape with two women and one was only 16 while he was in town for the 1988 Democratic Convention.
  18. I haven't watched a full NXT show in years before tonight and this show delivered in a big bad way. There was some stuff that made me roll my eyes, but overall it was a great show. Dom vs. Trick was a personal favorite because Dom has become an amazing performer, and Melo vs. Dragunov was fucking great.
  19. Smackdown was a home run. What a great show! I could go on and on but two things. One, Jimmy Uso has low key become my favorite character. He was kinda floundering for a bit during the Bloodline civil war shit, but now he's awesome as a chaos agent crazy heel. Two, the way they weaved in the Lashley/ Profits stuff in the talk show with Rey vs Escobar, one of the best matches I've seen in a long time, was brilliant. It cemented the Profits heel turn while explaining why Escobar forgot about being upset about losing. I was waiting for the heel turn and instead the LWO are strong and cursing in Spanish backstage in the trainer's office. It was so well booked, and the whole show was as well.
  20. Toni Storm's gimmick is great, but the shoe bit needs to go. Wooden hangers is the where it's at. "No Wire Hangers!" is just waiting there.
  21. Everyone sleeping on Lower Decks or won't give it a chance are missing the fuck out. This season has been great and this week's episode was fantastic.
  22. LA Knight makes more sense. I got fooled by all the " Hey, Rock was on the show last week that did huge numbers from Denver that Johnny didn't take his nephew and his pals to" hype. To be honest, is that the best thing Covid has done? It would have been fine if Knight rescued Cena tonight. But it's totally better to end with Cena laid out and eventually Knight is revealed as his new partner.
  23. Just finished the show. I love that they rehabbed Jimmy Uso's character really quick from the confusion that was the end of the Roman/ Jay match to him being a force of chaos within the Bloodline who's violent and crazy and Solo is down with. And it's gonna be Cena and the Rock vs. Jimmy and Solo at Fastlane, right?
  24. I'm halfway through the show and just watched Asuka vs. Iyo. That fucking kicked ass. Even the outside interference was just a tiny spot and the knees to the back of Asuka's head into the ropes looked rugged. I yelled "Fuck!" out loud here on the back porch and immediately felt bad for the neighbors because it's 10:45.
