  1. I have to admit I do like how Marvel has been much faster at getting out the books of their big crossovers compared to DC
  2. I started watching then just kinda stopped, I'm going to start back tomorrow
  3. Saw that The Freshman is on On Demand. Haven't watched this I years. Its still the fun movie I remember it was back in the day. And it reminded me of the crush I had on Penelope Ann Miller too. So cute
  4. This happened sometime last year. New group took over the NWA and refused to let Adam Pearce and Colt Cabana finish the Seven stages of hell thing they were doing, so Pearce and co. withdrew Championship Wrestling from Hollywood from the the NWA. I thought Dave Marquez ran Hollywood, its why he started that new sanctioning body.
  5. Plus it was in disagreement with how Bruce Tharpe obtained control of the company, through lawsuits and such, not by a vote of the board of directors. Though I have to say, since he's taken over it seems the other NWA promotions have done much better business since the takeover.
  6. My bad, I meant to put guy's wife, but somehow missed out, I won't edit it, I'll take the ribbing.
  7. There was a link that had a timeline of the craziness of CZW's happenings and one of the timelines really fasinated me, which was late 2002-03 when they had their little war with XPW over the use of the Arena, one of the casulties was the Messiah and his thumb (which had nothing to do with the feud, but he had left XPW for CZW) and its interesting when he made his return he had all the support of the wrestlers and the fans. Years later I remember reading about how he had an affair with a guy who held a fundraiser to help with his medical bills. Just saddened to hear. And CZW really took pride in running in the Arena, even doing an excellent tribute video to celebrate 10 years of wrestling at the time there.
  8. First one that comes to mind for me would be the Dominique Wilkins trade to the Clippers for Danny Manning.
  9. Hell, he was the reason this thread was started. I think it was in last week's RAW thread in the WWE folder.
  10. The programmer apparently agrees with out, and it might be coming off the app stores tomorrow. No longer might, reports say its off both Google Play and the App store. Sadly I wouldn't know for sure, never made it to the Windows App store
  11. I didn't want to clutter the What if thread, but why didn't Ring Ka King get a second season? Last I read it was relatively successful in India.
  12. Since this has turned into a whatever happened to thread, whatever happened to Yakuza Rich? He was real active when I first started
  13. I would think Closed CIrcuit TV was how they were aired.
  14. No. I think his name was Thomas something. It may have been smartmarks before it became a forum. I honestly can't remember the site, guy I believe lived in the PA area, I know he would only review Wildside shows when the tv was shown in his area.
  15. It wasn't Goodman. This guy reviewed only the tv and tapes he got in his area. I don't believe he ever made it to a live show
  16. I don't know if its an official Disney account, but apparantly Disney has been putting up Gargoyles episodes on YouTube. I know a lot of folks here enjoyed it, so there you go, enjoy! I am, I completely forgot how great this series is.
  17. I didn't know London had a cup of tea in TNA before his WWE run. I remember back in the day there was this guy who would review Wildside shows and loved Cross' brainbuster, he called it the BEST DAMN BRAINBUSTER IN NORTH AMERICA, it caught on the announcers started calling it that when he used it more often instead of the Crossfire. He was a great talent, I thought he could've done well in TNA, but he seemed to have just disappeared for some odd reason, I heard he did that at lot in Wildside, which is why he didn't get the push as often despite having the talent.
  18. I honestly don't think so, I believe since flash drives are getting cheaper, you're going to see a prolofication of them over optical media because of how convenient they are over discs
  19. I'm glad that didn't get much of the focus of the movie.
  20. I loved it. That's all I can really say on it, love the take on it for sure. I hope they continue to keep this and Nu52 separate.
  21. One thing I liked about Friends was despite some of the deep dark past of some of the characters (Phoebe more specifically), they kept it lightearted for the most part. There were a few bad episodes, but there were a lot of good ones and kept me entertained, wish it was on a Netflix so I can pick and choose which episodes I want to watch.
  22. I'm looking at how Marvel is really pushing this new muslim Ms. Marvel, it got me wondering, whatever happened to the Baz GL? Kinda disappeared since this whole Forever Evil started, and I'm not reading any of the GL books anymore, but it looks like he's not there either. Hmm... Random thought, I love what James Robinson did on Earth 2 and I wish he were still on it, but so far the new team has been keeping up the quality so far, so as of now it'll continue to be the only DC book I get on a regular basis.
  23. From what I heard, sadly we won't get that viewpoint anymore because of the remodeling the Garden got a few years ago.
