The FTR/BC Gold match was great stuff. More 2/3 falls matches, please.

And we weren't so lucky this time out, losing to Panama 5-4 on penalties.
I'm happy that Gold Cup and Nations League Finals won't be the same summer going forward. It does us no good to split the roster for two competitions a month apart.

I'm a sucker for Jon Moxley and Tomohiro Ishii beating people like they stole something.
When they do it to each other in a match? Yeah, that's pretty much always going to be my pick. I could have done without the shoot headbutts, though.

Like you guys, my 13-year-old was heated at the cliffhanger. He made me promise to take him to Part 3 the first day it's out. No problem here, as I absolutely loved the movie. Striking animation, lots of callbacks, an engaging story, and a great cast....I think it's better than Part 1 - which was great - and in my Top 5 Superhero movies.
My favorite thing about the movie was how each Spider was animated somewhat differently. Being from different dimensions meant they all operated on different wavelengths, or something like that.

The 3rd Place Match and Final tickets were sold as a Double-Header, so a whole lot of Mexico fans that bought tickets decided to eat their money out of spite.
The FMF and Mexican soccer in general is a dumpster fire - the folks that hired Cocca were already gone, so he was always going to have a short leash. And as a USMNT fan that's had batteries/cups of "beer"/loaded diapers thrown at me and Osama chants in Estadio Azteca, all of this chaos suits me just fine.
(I've been Mexico City three time and gone to the Azteca more than I have Arena Mexico *and* Arena Coliseo. Pete, I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I agreed to hang out when you came down into DC that one weekend.)

Callaghan will be in charge for the Nations League Final Four and Gold Cup. Add this new change to the mess that is Mexico's NT, and I have no idea what that Nations League Semi-Final is going to look like.
Also? Good for Hudson. He knows he's not getting the permanent USMNT gig and there are jobs available now that will be gone by the time the Gold Cup's over. No real point for him to stick around.

Lucha Bros vs. Claudio/Wheeler was the winner for me this week, but I also enjoyed Bailey/Takahashi from NJPW on AXS. Always liked Hiromu and Bailey's kicks look good....except for his comical Trouble In Paradise homage where he does two full rotations before landing the kick. Woof.

Looking for combos that could start with a bionic elbow, monkey flip, backrake, ramming someone's head into the turnbuckle a bunch of times, etc.

OC/Garcia for sure this week. OC's run has been fantastic.
AEW's booking themselves into a corner with OC - like with Jade, whoever beats OC will be made. Do they go with an established star or do you elevate someone?
(I kind of like the idea of Jay White being the guy, especially if MJF stays A) World Champ and B) Heel.)
(I also think Willow should be elevated with a good story to beat Jade. Or Statlander depending on when she's able to come back.)

That is certainly a possibility, given some of the decisions on who made the WC roster. I'll never underestimate the ability of US Soccer to mess things up.

Folarin Balogun, who's had a breakout season for Reims in France on loan from Arsenal, has a one-time switch from England's Three Lions to the USMNT approved.
US can pick Folarin Balogun as FIFA approves eligibility change from England - The Washington Post
This could be a very big deal for the USMNT. Looking forward to seeing how he does with the team.

Just listened to the podcast. Brought back some memories.....great stuff, guys. Been a long time.
I'm pretty sure we did a Road Report for Rippa's wedding - a lot of stuff has unfortunately been lost over time.
EDIT: I have to look for the Road Reports for Wrestleforce America (DEAN~! gets his stomach signed) and the OMEGA Reunion (I think the only time we were all in the same place discussing 500 rankings).

Can't say enough good things about Dean. I was honored to be brought into the group way back when. Lots of great times going to indy shows and talking wrestling and working on the 500 and watching a beauty pageant contestant sign his stomach at one of those indy shows and......

Could not agree with you more. Growing up in Detroit, I loved that Joe Louis Arena looked different from Boston Garden, which looked different from The Dallas Sportatorium, which looked different from Maple Leaf Gardens, MSG, etc. Variety is the spice of life and whatnot.

The only time I've seen a wrestler in the wild was late March, 2003. I was in Seattle to watch the US Men's Soccer team take on Venezuela. (Was supposed to be Japan, but SARS happened.)
So my friend and I are walking around downtown Seattle before the soccer game and we see signs and realize that Wrestlemania was the next day. Even though we were both lapsed WWE watchers at that point, we kicked ourselves for not staying in town an extra day, getting cheap tickets, and hanging out.
At that exact moment, Kevin Nash comes walking down the street. Dude looked like he just spent six hours in the hair salon. Said a quick what's up and kept it moving.
