  1. Despite being a huge nerd, I've never seen an entire episode of any iteration of Star Trek.
  2. Aww.... yeah,... Youtube totally helped me re-appreciate Hogan I agree. And not just his matches from Japan. I've really grown to appreciate his WWE matches as well.
  3. I found a match with it as his entrance music. http://youtu.be/xmY6QhW6Ge4
  4. I have no idea what is happening in this video.
  5. Not technically Gangrel but definitely worth watching. I'm not sure which one he is. http://youtu.be/whYaJEq564Y http://youtu.be/JP7ZkCObagk http://youtu.be/onmv_oghZiI
  6. I really like this casting. BTW, did anyone else get a chuckle out of the article calling Pitt, a costar in Seven Psychopaths?
  7. I'm really getting tired of seeing the car commercial with Michael Bolton.
  8. It's weird. I hate Michael Bay but I love both Tony Scott and Renny Harlin.
  9. I'm in the minority. I, too, enjoyed Season 5. I definitely agree with everyone else on the rest of the series. It's just horrible. Though, I will admit to only watching the first 6 episodes of the final season but it sounds like I made the right decision.
  10. This was actually the first full episode of Raw that I've watched since the night after Money in the Bank 2011. I have to say that I really enjoyed it. Especially, the more tag match orientated format. I loved the Big E/Mark Henry vs. Swagger/Cesaro match and the 6 man tag was pretty damn good too. I'm not as high on the main event as a lot of people seem. It was definitely a very good match but I would hesitate to put it in MOTYC territory. All in all, I'm glad I watched and I'm definitely going to watch next week.
  11. Last night, I decided to watch Different Strokes reruns on Antenna TV. Well, I knew all about the "very special" episode with Arnold, Dudley, and the pedophile. What I didn't know was that also had a "very special" episode where Arnold and Kimberly try to hitchhike home and get picked up by this creepy guy who takes them to his apartment and tries to rape Kimberly. Of course, this was the episode that I managed to catch, which was actually a two-partner. It got me thinking about other "very special" episodes of different shows.. It really is a product of a bygone error. Yes, they were preachy and made you somewhat uncomfortable, especially if you were forced to watch them with your parents. So, it that respect, I really glad they seem to be gone. However, there is a certain earnestness to them that make them somewhat charming. Of course, there's also a lot of ironic humor to them as well. Anyway, I was wondering what everyone's favorite "very special" episode? I have to go with the episode of Family Ties where Alex talks about the death of his best friend. I actually think it is a legitimately good and well written example of this type of episode.
  12. I just purchased Superman: Man of Steel TP, which is a collection of stories from the Superman Adventures comics. It include Mark Millar's 22 Stories in a Single Bound. I've always wanted to read this ever since I first heard about it. However, the issue in the TP is only 15 pages. So, is it safe to assume that they didn't collect the whole issue?
  13. I thought Johns' work really took a nosedive around the time Identity Crisis came out. I don't know if Identity Crisis had anything to do with that or it was just a coincidence; but all the titles I was reading from Johns (JSA, The Flash, Teen Titans) were better before that story came out.
  14. I watch V/H/S last night and I didn't like it. Each one of the stories had a cool moment or interesting idea but the stories as a whole just weren't good. The only one I really liked was the one titled "Tuesday the 17th" which was a pretty cool take on the slasher film. I probably check out the sequel, as I hear its much better.
  15. Tommy's strength was definitely his ability to bump, or to put it more accurately, his willingness to take insane bumps. He was pretty much a low rent Mick Foley in that regard, except Mick did everything else so much better.
  16. http://youtu.be/Unxp4r2oTjM Tommy Dreamer vs. Jerry Lawler 3/17/12 NWA Main Event For someone who based his career on brawling, I always thought Dreamer was kind of a shitty brawler. But he and the King have a really good chaotic brawl where he manages to keep up with Jerry.
  17. Thanks, I'll remember that next time.
  18. Another fantastic episode. Add me to the list of people who were super excited to see Forster on there.
  19. I don't know if it was the same Stanhope special, but I saw one where he had a whole section on the tsunami victims. I think dark and outright offensive is an accurate description of his act. Still, like you said, a lot of funny stuff. Reggie Watts is one of those comedians I just don't "get". I've seen him on multiple shows and I don't remember laughing once.
  20. James Brown covering the Beatles http://youtu.be/4u0OwmlNfF4 Ray Charles covering Johnny Cash http://youtu.be/71AEfhsH6Ok Edit: I hit share on Youtube and then cut and paste the link. Any idea why it didn't embed?
