Caitlyn Jenner voted Trump and is a conservative. This is a transgender lady with a step-daughter who did porn, a mixed raced family and black grandchildren. Not exactly the republican party's cup of tea. It is pretty much about money and lower taxes a lot of the time. Then there's Shane trying to invest in weed-growing companies while his mother works for an administration that is going totally WAR ON DRUGZ crazy right now.

Hard to argue with the logic.

Am I wrong in thinking Vince McMahon should be a little worried? Not that he was ever Weinstein. I hope not, at least. But, eh...the man hasn't exactly been a saint when it comes to women in his company. He admitted that himself in that Playboy interview. Floodgates and all.

I think so, too. I also think that was how some people in Hollywood justified it to themselves. "OK, he's a womanizer and it's sleazy...but it's more a casting couch deal than outright sexual assault." Willful ignorance.

"Harvey Weinstein is a left-wing hero!" No. He produced Shakespeare in Love. And it beat Saving Private Ryan to the Best Picture Oscar. At which point, I had already guessed he was a complete monster.

But Weinstien is fired. Disgraced. Fleeing to Europe. Trump was elected POTUS. You tell me the difference.

This just feels like victim-blaming, though. Maybe they were, eh, embarrassed? Or worried about their partner's career? (Pitt, Thornton, etc) As for garnering-attention: I think both Jolie and Paltrow are well-known enough now that they don't have to resort to this for notoriety. I doubt Angelina Jolie woke up a few days ago and was, like, "You know, I'm not quite famous enough. I have to jump in on this story." Come on.

As has been mentioned, there is a suggestion that Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie got off "easy" because of their family connections. (Spielberg being Paltrow's Godfather and Jon Voight, obviously) Like, he tried something, but then left them alone. A lot of others like McGowan didn't have that, so were treated much, much worse. But then Asia Argento ...so, I dunno. He didn't think her dad was famous enough? Again, though: Dario is not a man I would want to anger. He's far too weird. And unpredictable.

Oh, Angelina.

It is lovely to watch how Dom has developed as a character. And how good an actor Vin Diesel is. Why Fast and Furious has become a truly interesting blockbuster franchise, despite how silly it is. I think someone on here said: "Dom is basically every good-natured drunk uncle at the barbecue: He's drunk and silly, but you know he means it."

Because you suspect he never truly got over losing for Serpico.

Pacino in Jack and Jill is oddly great. One of the worst, most hideous films ever made, of course. But it has an amazing moment.. *Adam Sandler accidentally breaks his Oscar* "Oh, sorry. But, hey, you must have more than one of these, right?" "You'd think so, but no." An irredeemable movie gets a redeemable moment.

*Me watching the latest Fast and Furious film* “OK, this is basically Days of our Lives meets a Hollywood car chase film.” It was absurd. But I sorta liked it. “She had an unintended pregnancy!” “Now she’s dead!” “Nuclear football!” “He’s not the bad guy after all!! We love him!” “You got your son back!” “The evil lady villain is still out there!” I can’t even begin to explain what happened here.

Dean stopped a One Direction member from being on Raw. If you think about, he was an inept GM. I mean, that would have gotten WWE millions of viewers and mainstream pub, right?

The Kimmel segment was truly beautiful to watch. I was touched by it. The way he kept breaking down. It's unnerving that he's getting criticism from certain circles. "He said sick babies should get healthcare regardless of whether their parents have money or not! How dare he!" The people trashing him can go to hell. (No, like, literally, they might be.)

But it will get no heat.

I think they went into House of Horrors knowing it wasn't going to win any Match of the Year awards. They wanted it to be a bit ridiculous. As a one off idea, it was mildly amusing. The deliberately cheesy horror movie music in the background made me smile. It might be better if you see the whole match as a spoof of scary movies, I dunno. Orton as he cautiously approached that house seemed like every 'final girl' character ever.

JBL and Benoit were/are both blatant sociopaths. They egged each other on. It was sick. I'll never forget that little story from Meltzer in the WO after Regal had given his (notably weary) tribute on the Benoit tribute Raw. JBL to Regal after Regal had finished filming: "You don't think he really killed that boy, do you?" Of course he killed him. You know fine well he did.

I listened to the commentary from The Simpsons’ The Principal and the Pauper episode. (The infamous “Jump the Shark” episode.) It’s intriguing. Here’s the thing, I wasn’t crazy about the episode (it’s implausible and silly), but I appreciate the point the writers make. “It’s about a community who are so used to things, they can’t stand anything being disrupted and instantly want to get things back to normal. It never seems to have occurred to anyone that this episode is about the people who hate it.” Even at the end, Agnes gives up her legitimate son and happily sees him run out of town because she prefers the status quo. She knows Armie’s a fraud, but doesn’t care. Because our Principal Skinner suits her needs more. More than her own flesh and blood. Quite scary, if you think about it. And it wasn't even like they took the easy way out and made Sgt. Skinner a hideous person. He's perfectly nice (he forgave Amie more easily than many people would have). But he just wasn't what they liked. Thus, he had to go. They shouldn’t have made it, but there is an intelligence and cynicism here.

"People, I deserve your vote because my rival wants to send this town to Hell!" *pause* "No, seriously. I've actually been to Hell. I know about these things."

If he doesn't chokeslam his opponent at the end of every debate I will be very sad indeed.

Ric Flair's deal reminds me of a line I heard from an Amy Winehouse doc I saw on a music channel a few years back. "Well, we knew it wasn't going to end well. But she didn't want help. And, eh, we couldn't lock her up or stop her." Let's be honest: If anything happens, we'll be sad, yes. But we won't be surprised.

Hey, the neighbours thought Ted Bundy was nice. Just saying: some of the stories about JBL are truly disturbing.
