  1. Yay to KENTA defeating Randy Orton. That has to be the first time a reigning WWE Champion has been knocked out of the tournament in the first round, right?
  2. AJ is no longer in TNA so he's a winner in that regard. But not against Nakamura.
  3. Ziggler was too worried about trying to be a wannabe show-off that Big E jump passed him by and was the show-off WWE wanted all along. That's one point in Big E's favor, in spite of my overall support for Titan. I think these two could legit have a very good match.
  4. Big Show is Big Show, but Negro Casas was arguably the best wrestler in the world in 2013. His hate-filled brawls with Rush. His technical matches with Titan, Volador Jr. His mentoring uncle role to his nephews Puma and Tiger, who are pretty good in his own right. Subtle heel work when he needs to be, and fan favorite when the crowd demands it. His mic work is solid. In the match posted above, Negro cuts a promo making fun of Mascara Dorada for talking...very...slowly and vows to beat the shit out of him fast and quick very quickly. He also had an awesome post-match segment in a six man tag. His team got DQ'd for fouling Atlantis. As his nephews and their opponents exchange back and forths over the house mic over three-four minutes, Negro stealthily ends up taking Atlantis' mask and putting it on himself. Such an awesome rudo and all around legend. Vote Negro Casas.
  5. Titan has had a great year. He's kept up his momentum from last year where against all odds did well in the Buscando Un Idolo tournament. He is so much better than Misticlon who CMLL had tried to push that it isn't even funny. He is very smooth, takes crazy bumps that make me cringe but keeps getting up. He'll do PWG ring apron bumps, he will do suicide dives into the CMLL ringside barriers head first. He will let Terrible triple power bomb him to the floor. If Negro Casas is saying you're the next big thing in lucha, you better believe him. Vote Titan.
  6. I might abstain from that one. Is my loathing of Impact Wrestling that strong?
  7. Dylan, I think you may have sold me on Mr Dynamite. The other thing I would like to point out with regards to Cody is that he should NEVER do a moonsault again. He could have seriously hurt himself a few weeks back.
  8. Because I hate Randy Orton and his stupid face. There are so many of you now on my list That's as good a reason as I need to vote for Kenta. But is the Nagata match Jae posted enough to suggest it should be Nagata in March Madness instead? This strikes me as a 5/12 NCAA matchup in that the 12 seed is hitting all their threes while Orton is trying to run down the clock with chinlocks.
  9. I'm glad Terrible did as well as he did even though he lost. I thought it would be more one-sided in Neville's favor. SHIELD should have gone in as a unit to provide the ultimate challenge for a Bryan/Cesaro final.
  10. Buck can become pen pals with a Penn State defensive coordinator.
  11. C'mon. Don't be that guy. I got to stick up for Sombra. Yes, he's going to lose. But he will go down in battle like Richard III.
  12. Terrible has the best punch this side of Bobby Eaton and El Dandy.
  13. My lucha fan in me wants to pick Terrible. He had a random six man tag on a Tuesday Arena Mexico show where he did a triple powerbomb spot on Titan with the first two in the ring, then he picks him up and powerbombs him to the floor. That was one of the cooler things I have seen this year. Neville has had a good year too, but I was left a little disappointed in the NXT Ladder match. I understand safety first, and yes I did mark out when he won. His match with Corey Graves was rather dull, but that may have been Graves' fault.
  14. I really soured on Ziggler this year. This was the year he went Zack Ryder and just stopped giving a shit about everything. Yes he still has some glimpses here and there but Ziggler is a defeated man. So his whininess is very genuine, instead of being a rebel. All the things HHH said about Bryan on RAW really apply to Ziggler. His offense is all over the place, his selling is all over the place, and he's just a clusterfuck right now. Hell, I might be so bold as to say he needs to go down to NXT and work Zayn, Neville and Dallas to find his motivation because what he's doing for better or worse isn't working. Ibushi is a spot monkey, yes. But what he does is so freaking crisp. Vote Ibushi.
  15. Hero's an interesting wrestler: he may not have gotten a fair shake down in NXT, and I'm not crazy about his elbow-based offense, even if it's a tribute of sorts to Misawa. Daniels has the Impact Wrestling scarlet letter. And Hero has the Regal match, which is my tie-breaker.
  16. I'll have to check out Sombra: Miracle Worker against that piece of shit Dragon Rojo. Sombra won the biggest mask of his career and had a brief run as New Japan IC Champion this year. Reigns, while he does his three moves well and oozes charisma, still isn't at the level where he can carry a match on his own. Much like Bray Wyatt, his tag partners cover up his very obvious flaws as a singles dude.
  17. I'm not much of a puro guy, but at this point, based on in-ring abilities I can't vote for Bray yet. And I think the spider walk is really fucking stupid. He should be getting heat butted JYD style or taking green mist to the face when doing it.
  18. Byron or the other dude that isn't Regal had a nice point about Zayn's tights having all the flags of the countries he has wrestled in was a neat touch and put over the importance of the match.
  19. Cesaro's counter to Zayn's tornado DDT through the ropes with the uppercut was absolutely insane. That whole match was fantastic. Too Cool was a pleasant surprise. Watching Victoria/Lisa Marie Varon do the Worm setup at her restaurant along with Scotty Too Hotty is one of the damnedest things I have ever seen. The stream at her place held out until the Rusev segment, but thank goodness came back for the main event. Attendance wasn't very much but those there were enthusiastic about it.
  20. Paige's submission looked a bit like Blue Panther's nudo lagunero in the end position. While Panther's setup is having the opponent in a standing position, Paige twisting from the bottom was nice.
  21. Saget's version of The Aristocrats from the movie documentary is SO DIRTY, he doesn't even get to finish the joke.
