No, it was all very vague, perhaps purposefully so. He also said something to the effect of "early in your career," which would rule out Osprey and Okada. BUT it's also conceivable that HHH doesn't know they're veterans. Or maybe he's such a Kool Aid drinker he believes your career hasn't even started, and is thus still early, until you've worked New York brother.
Me, I just assumed he said "early in your career" so vets he knows personally, like Edge, wouldn't feel like they were catching strays.
In the end, a guy who is supposed to be on the business side now, and had the best weekend of his career as an exec, doesn't need to be punching down at anyone. To paraphrase a line from a great work of cinema, "Are you such a fucking loser you can't tell when you've won?"
I just guess MJF because he's real young, his contract status is unknown, and he notoriously doesn't work a hard schedule (I know it was his gimmick, but still...)

Are we sure Hunter was talking about Osperey? I mean, has that been confirmed? I was just thinking, maybe he was talking about MJF.

I can't believe that Mina Shirakawa made out with Mariah Mae in the center of the ring on Dynamite and everyone is talking about this bullshit.
Priorities people!

The only WWE reference that should have been made last night was to congratulate Cody. That's it.

I've only watched TJPW since about May last year but I'm pretty sure Raku was never as good as she was on those two Philly shows. Usually I'm sitting there, kinda stoned, just kinda watching her do her thing in utter bewilderment. I can feel my inner Cornette come to the fore. She ain't Nonoko but at least there seems to be some conceptual continuity recently. The gimmick seems like one of those failed children show hosts from the VHS boom.
I downright hated Raku before I saw her live in Philly. But then I did, and I think I adore her now. I have no idea what happened, but it did.
Also, Miu Watanabe is goddamn charismatic dynamite!

I'm guessing it's fake. It's the Bucks in their EVP heel gimmick showing the footage. If it was legit, Tony would do the announcement himself, and act all serious. It's going to be Jungle Boy beating up a midget in a Punk costume or some bullshit.

I think one of the problems with the crowd in the main event was who to root for. Kayfabe's dead, so everyone pretty much knew whoever won night one was going to lose night two (theoretically). So if you're a Cody fan, it's difficult to root for something you don't want to happen. Same with Roman fans.

While I disliked the Uso match, I hated in the six woman more. It felt like Damage Control were treated like jobbers. Cargil felt extraneous, and didn't bring much to it at all.
Zayn -GUNTHER was MOTN, but it felt more like a manufactured epic than an actual one. Needed to be longer.
The main was long and boring. I liked it when they went into the crowd, but other than that it didn't work for me. The Rock looks good, and the right team one, so there's that.

The move was reversed, Aminata got the knees up. The story was Starks learned how to cheat from her mentor Athena.
Did she? I'll have to research the match.

I know the kneejerk is to get hot about the exploitation of a legit injury, but this was done so perfectly that I couldn't help but LOVE being duped. I was buying the injury, so it's hard for me to think Aminata looked dumb. This finish was the best heel cheat finish I've seen in ages. Further, the match was so good before that. Aminata has become a legit bad ass. She was so awesome here. No wrestler on this card had stronger looking offense. Early on, Starks looked really soft in comparison, but Billie brought plenty in the latter half. This was easily my match of the show. Further, the injury portion was the best executed angle seen in TKROH.
I have to respectfully disagree. It made no sense to me. Why would Billy fake an injury after hitting her finisher? Why didn't she just pin her?

Just came back from the ppv. The main was fantastic, and the right guy absolutely won. Shida/Athena was awesome. The ladies of Stardom looked great. But the ending of Starkz/Animata was gross. And completely pointless and unnecessary. You'd think TK would learn not to do this shit anymore. Animata did impress me though.

Jay White isn't supposed to be the Stan Hansen of AEW, he's supposed to be the Rat Boy Ogawa.
I think he's being paid closer to Hansen than Ogawa. He was the hottest free agent when he was signed. And I wouldn't even want to see QT Marshall get beaten down for 15 minutes by geriatric Billy Gunn. It was one of the worst segments in AEW history.

Was at the Stardom show. It was fantastic, and the main event was an awesome monster battle.

Jesus Christ, did Jay White run over Tony Khan's dog or something? Billy Gunn needs to get the fuck off of my TV, pronto.

If Cena was the ultimate company man, his loyalty would be to the company itself, not to Vince.
the whole “I want to help my friend in this time” wouldn’t be as bad if he had expressed any sympathy towards the victim(s).
He's not a company man. He values his own brand more than anything else. And his brand is never be confrontational, never be controversial, never say anything that might get people pissed at you.

He didn't say anything. That's the problem.

Cena seems to be obsessed with appearing to be the "good guy". Call Taiwan a country one second, apologize in Mandarin the next. Have to be loyal, stick by your psycho father figure, but don't get accused of victim blaming. Walk that thin, thin line. Post a lot of inspirational crap on X. Give your time to sick kids. Nobody would have a problem with making sick kids happy, right?
Walk that line. That's what Cena's done his entire career. Why would he stop now? Im far more disappointed in Punk's response to this than Cena's. I never expected anymore from him.

I think this is going to go a lot like when Rossy left Zenjo to form Arsion. A big star (Aja Kong), a star on the cusp (Mariko Yoshida, and he tried to get Hikari Fukuoka but failed), and a few underutilized folks with potential who weren't going anywhere where they currently were (Yumi Fukawa, Rie Tamada, poaching Mikiko Futagami and Michiko Ohmukai from LLPW), then coaxing a fresh retirement who retired early back into the ring (Candy Okutsu, and he tried to get Sakie Hasegawa back into the ring). Throw in a handful of gaijin, et voila, new promotion.
So you can speculate who those could be, but he really doesn't need much, and it doesn't have to come from Stardom. He's absolutely going to try and land TJPW folks too.
Will he be able to land them though? What about this whole United Japan thing that's starting in May? Is Rossy going to be the odd man out with that going on?

Sorry to everyone for disrupting the thread. Cancer's hit my family and friends hard, and I'm a little over sensitive about the subject. Again, my apologies.

I'm guessing maybe Khan and The Rock takeover, with maybe Punk and Heyman taking over creative.

On the topic of redemption, I can't speak for Jarrett, but I always viewed the Christian idea of redeeming yourself as being in the eyes of God. I think too many people view it as a get out of jail card, and it's not. It's you repairing your relationship with God, and part of that is accepting your punishment in the mortal world. So while it's always possible Vince could be redeemed, any claims of such shouldn't be taken at face value, and it shouldn't mean he gets out of earthly punishment.
