I won’t play this for years (I just now crashed through the church where Aerith is in Remake, so…) but I really hope there’s shit in Rebirth that makes it absolutely certain that it’s a different timeline/universe because my coworker is STILL convinced that the three games are just straight up remakes with some expanding of the story. Gearbox is likely to be another one. EDIT: The announcement is expected in March, and they aren’t going independent again. The three options that Randy Pitchford told employees about was stay with Embracer, finance a buyout to go indie again, or sell to someone else.

Yeah last year they had DLC packs drop every month from April to August. This year they skip every other month once they get past July. I wonder if they saw gamers drop the game sometime after the summer last year and this is their way to inflate user engagement by stretching out the post-launch content. It's whatever to me, all the good stuff (IMO) is in the Punk drop. It's not like they're giving me Keiji Mutoh circa 2001-2003 or anything. The Headbangers being in is really cool, but yeah... Dudleys, Sandman, Punk and Terry Funk? Shit, take my money. Hopefully the Dudleys being in the ECW pack means they'll be in their ECW gear, not the WWF/E gear. I'm just ready to do that gauntlet match mode with Punk. Oddly enough I'm really excited about that match type.

Return to Grace is a nice little walking simulator/“puzzle”/narrative game that explores the morality of AI and the good versus bad it could cause. Really enjoyable, little 2-3 hour game.

I might literally be the only person here who cares, but The Ones Who Live premiered tonight and you know what? I like it a lot. But I also haven’t watched any other Walking Dead show, except for like 20 minutes of the Maggie & Negan show (I didn’t like it). The cliffhanger tonight actually left me wanting more, so good for them.

He also predicted AEW to HBO Max “soon”. Which was like a year ago.

That scene specifically referred to Cassie, so that’s almost a sure bet. Agatha’s show will probably do something with the Maximoff kids. America, yeah, I’d imagine so. I can’t see what else she’d show up in. There’s also Joaquin Torres, who Sam gave the Falcon suit to in his show. That team will probably be an amalgam of the Young Avengers and Champions teams. So someone like Ironheart might be possible, too.

My favorite is still Ms. Marvel because I’m a huge Kamala fan. but Hawkeye is really, really good. Like, shockingly good (because it’s about fuckin’ Clint Barton) but also not surprising because of the cast, the characters they play and how they absolutely embody them and their chemistry. Kamala & Kate together onscreen has the possibility to rival or even be better than Kate & Yelena onscreen. I can’t wait.

To be fair, Part C is totally on-brand for Darby.

I started a rewatch a few months ago, but stopped because there were other shows on (and leaks were saying 97 wouldn’t premiere until like the fall or winter). Started it back up yesterday, only a little ways through Season 2. Totally forgot Carol Danvers made an appearance in this for Rogue’s origin episode. This shit hits like crack, it’s a total comfort food type scenario for me (this + 90s Spidey). No doubt I’ll be done by March 20th the way I consume content, so I’m ready. I want them to revive all the 90s cartoons and merge the two Earths (pretty sure X-Men/Spidey were in their own universe, with Iron Man, F4, Silver Surfer and Hulk all taking place on another).

I’m down to play with anyone that wants to get into some Helldivers next week.

if I was Microsoft, it would take a lot more than the success of two smaller games and two live service games on PS5 for me to release my big tentpole exclusive in Starfield on the competition’s platform. That would be like Sony releasing Gravity Rush 1+2 on the Xbox, it doing well, then they immediately start plans to port God of War or Horizon to Xbox.

To be fair, all of the rumored choices for Reed were in their 40s. Assuming the Adam Driver rumor was true, and the fact that Krasinksi was Reed in MoM, it’s pretty obviously an intentional casting choice to get someone older because it fits with the story they’re doing. Besides, you have 60 year old Tom Cruise out here climbing ridiculously large towers in the Middle East and doing plane stunts midair, so it’s whatever really. Clearly they’re all feeding off the blood of children since I’m 33 and feel (and potentially look) older than I am.

I didn’t even realize this was Marty & Shawn until I started it, that’s wild. Rose looks like the default build (in my mind) of a wrestler from the 1970s appearing in your local armory hall. Somers is like a skinny and lanky version of Rose. Shawn Michaels looks like a high school student. Even in 1986 or whatever, Marty Jannetty looks 40 somehow. This is such a mismatch in styles, it’s weird. Shawn Michaels was selling his ass off even back then apparently. Match is only like 5 minutes in and he already has color, lol. The crowd (mostly women it sounds like… I wonder why) is really into this, though. So that’s always fun. I like that Somers just grabbed Shawn’s hand when he was crawling for the hot tag, instead of furiously attacking him like is the norm now - shows he’s in control and not feeling desperate to stop the tag. I’m already over young boy Shawn selling like he’s dying of blood loss though. Crowd is on fire for Marty, holy shit. Somer’s taking a ring post headshot in the ring is unbelievable, since he clearly has to make effort to do it. Meh. Did Marty just blade from a Buddy Rose bite or did I miss something? This match went bonkers real fast, everyone is brawling, two ref bumps and now I assume it’s a double DQ and some babyfaces come out to clear house. This was… okay, I guess. I think I came away from this thinking Rose & Somers were the better ones in the match, but it might be because I’m overexposed and used to Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty’s stuff. I read a review (411Mania, maybe?) that said this show had two of the best AWA matches that person had ever seen, and this was one of them. My question is, if that’s true… just how much did AWA suck?

I don’t know if anyone else is playing Helldivers 2, but hey… fuck them robots. Holy shit. Challenging difficulty with the bugs is one thing, but you go down to even just Medium on the robot planets and you get your shit stomped in. It’s great. I hate it but I love it. I’m also playing Madden ‘24 on Gamepass and I’m shockingly learning football through that game. It took me like an hour to figure out what rushing meant

Easily my most anticipated Marvel project in forever. X-Men & Spider-Man animated series in the 90s were my introduction to Marvel, so I’m here for this. I know it’s streaming so you can watch anytime you want, but it feels like a missed opportunity to not have these episodes released on Saturday mornings. EDIT: Ohhh, the show has its own thread now.
