  1. I always created my own, and would push Onyx as a top guy.
  2. The worst thing Punk ever did was choke Jack Perry in London which inadvertently led to him being pushed as some sort of outlaw and the next likely member of the new Elite with fucking Okada of all people. I love ya Punk, but goddamnit. Throw chairs at a Young Buck all you want, let your friend cosplay as a zombie and eat Omega’s arm, but you do NOT put the wrestling world in a position where Jack Perry is a key player.
  3. brb boutta go down an NWA Wildside rabbit hole on YouTube like it’s 2003 and I’m playing EWR at 2am on a school night
  4. Let’s just go ahead and get it out of the way - Sapp says the All In London footage is real, not a troll, and he’s been told that by someone at WBD. ain’t no fuckin’ way, but grifters gonna grift
  5. I feel dirty saying this, but… I enjoyed tonight more than I have recent AEW shows.
  6. I think TK said last night that Gimme Back My Bullets was the most he’s paid for a song so far.
  7. Look, I love AEW, but I think we both know the answer to that one lol. Christopher Daniels is wrestling tonight, and is the Head of Talent Relations. Schiavone is a Senior Producer, a commentator AND a “special advisor” to talent (AEW’s own words). Aubrey is a project coordinator. Shawn Dean books extras/outside talent. Bryce does travel (alongside a travel department obviously). Kenny Omega pushes video game companies to their breaking point. People like Dustin, Deeb, Rayne, Moxley, etc are all coaches and/or agents. Jericho is a producer and “creative advisor” (per Variety). Nothing inherently wrong with any of this, but it does seem like TK relies on talent to run the ship alongside him and that can be a problem sometimes (Punk being the perfect example of this, honestly).
  8. but I’ve been told, on this board, that there’s no AEW without Omega, Hangman and the Bucks! It’s even in the name!
  9. As far as I know, TK didn’t say they’d never cut people. He said they’d never cut people, during the pandemic, in response to WWE firing a slew of talent. It’s not like he said this in 2022 when the world was “done” with COVID and had moved on. Also I wouldn’t want to drive from Knoxville to Nashville either. Fuuuuuck that. Saving a billionaire’s company $800 or whatever on plane tickets? Get the fuck outta here.
  10. I believe there was a tube strike for certain lines or something. Either way, he took the tube and an Uber, so I’m not sure how much the strike affected anything.
  11. Just remember that if a Steam game won’t launch, try different versions of Proton. There are some instances of games just straight up not working though. For example, the two isometric Tomb Raider games didn’t work on the Steam Deck for the longest time, but suddenly do now. Another example: the Prince of Persia games are set up for K&M only, so you have to download community configs for a controller or Steam Deck controls. After that, they work great. I love it, I got the 64GB launch model and haven’t looked back. I don’t play it near as much as I used to, but I still love the thing.
  12. Motionless In White is doing Rhea’s entrance. Bayley said today it’s not happening, but did tweet out an official video package of the Iyo feud set to Hayley William’s Simmer.
  13. I like to think I’ve found little bits of enjoyment in everything you’ve given me, even if ultimately I don’t “like it”. I join these Secret Santo projects to watch stuff I’ve never seen before and you’re giving me that, so I can’t complain. You’re more well versed than me, so I’m just giving you stuff I like to ultimately see what you like about it, don’t like, etc. That’s fun to me. But if you give me those French matches I’m definitely giving you a Seth Rollins epic. You’ve been warned
  14. *flashbacks of Punk’s travel issues in London for All In*
  15. Hey, sorry! It’s been a busy few weeks with packing up my house, and showing the house, etc. I haven't even moved out yet, that’s the worst part. But I got a chance last night to watch this finally. My feelings on this one are really mixed. I liked it in some parts, but others I didn’t. The parts I liked were the obvious ones if you know me: the violence. It felt like a fight, Patterson bleeding at the slightest touch. But the parts I didn’t, it felt like your regular WWF kind of stuff from years later. The overselling in particular got on my nerves (mostly Sgt. Slaughter). And why was Slaughter a heel (and it sounded like the crowd didn’t really care?), but the Canadian was the face (who got a pretty huge pop??). I don’t think this even belongs on the best of an 80s set, but I’m also extremely bias and have admitted I don’t really like 80s stuff. But I’m open to it. Seeing Patterson being a wrestler and not Vince’s stooge is kind of wild for an Attitude Era kid to see, and Slaughter as a variation of what he’d later do is kind of weird and interesting as well. Early 80s WWF always trips me out when I see clips, like Dusty wrestling there or Billy Graham or whoever. In my mind’s eye, that’s not WWF, it should be Hogan or whatever other cartoony bullshit they’d do later. So this was fun, even if I didn’t particularly LIKE it. It’s interesting, is all I can really say.
  16. Dasha is probably being replaced by Arkady Unterleidner, who they hired back in February. She’s already been at a few shows and did some ring announcing.
  17. I’m gonna need some clarification on this conspiracy theory that an interview with Punk on YouTube caused Tony Khan to get on the horn and call some dude who hasn’t wrestled in a year and release him. Or two people who were glorified accessories in another person’s gimmick. Or a ring announcer. The list goes on. I swear the mere mention of Punk for some people just causes their brains to immediately scramble.
  18. Damn, I thought you liked me.
  19. nah just give it to Brody King
  20. I think Takeshita is fine. It’s mostly evenly split with the Jericho/Omega stuff, but to have singles (and tag) wins over both inside a few months - and two of his Omega victories were within the same week - I’d argue he’s doing just fine. He’s still presented as being a a crown jewel for Callis, and that’ll only being bolstered once Ospreay officially leaves the group. Hobbs has been drowning for years now, though.
  21. This time? Probably to remind the people who are fantasy booking Dustin to help Cody at WrestleMania that he’s under contract to AEW, and allowing him to appear does nothing for AEW.
  22. First off, the worst stable in AEW history was and will always be the Nightmare Collective. Never forget that it had Brandi in her goth phase, a broken down Awesome Kong, a worthless Luther, and someone who was decent to good on the indies but totally froze when it came to national TV in Melanie Cruise. I’m not prepared to write off the Mercedes stuff yet, unlike a lot of people. They’re clearly building towards something, so I’ll let it simmer. But if she doesn’t wrestle at Dynasty, it’ll feel really weird. Also, does Gunther even use Symphony No. 9 or whatever anymore? I only watch WWE for Punk, so I’m not sure. Either way, does it matter? And as for Ricky Starks.. well, I’m just gonna say it. He kinda sucks.
  23. @Matt D I forgot I had a tablet so I’ll watch it on that tonight! I just don’t like watching matches on my small iPhone screen. Problem solved tho! I’ve never seen a Pat Patterson match, and VERY little Sgt. Slaughter (maybe like one match, from an old WrestleMania against Hogan) so this should be fun. I hope you’re okay with me giving you joshi/women’s matches. It’s what I watch the most of, besides ECW and violent stuff, so… yeah.
