  1. G1 rules everything.
My schedule is better this year so I’m catching all the shows and matches and I am LOVING these young lions. Jesus they are going to be good.

Mox/Cobb wasn’t the greatest but I enjoyed it and it was a match I was looking forward too.

Everything else is awesome. Knife pervert is growing on me more and more. But, Ishi is MVP.

  2. The wrestlers gear had been mentioned earlier and it’s a great point. I first noticed that a lot of the guys had on Very similar gear. Not a huge deal but it stood out to me. Lots of green. Aside from the Lucha Bro’s. No one really looked big time. Time for some of these dudes to invest in their gimmicks.

The roster are a bunch of tiny dudes. Luchasauraus looks like a legit monster around these guys and that’s one of the reasons the crowd loses it for him. He looks so different from everyone else and he’s got a great athletic and flashy offense that looks hurty.

Joey Janella has been a guilty pleasure of mine but him rolling out of the ring and saying “Fuck you Cornette,” was very lame. What’s the point? What does that do?

I really hope they work with the guys in their individual move sets. I’ve been on small Indy shows where a spot is done in the first or second match and the guys in the back say, “ok, that was a spot we planned. Can’t do that now.” If these smaller time guys know that, how is that not a thing in the 6 man where the finish was a DVD in the ring, but one was done on the apron earlier for an big spot?

Im over analyzing this show too much, but I’m seeing things in AEW I don’t like and I hope they fix soon.

  3. Way too many Death Valley drivers.

Brit Baker didn’t have a great outing.

    Luchasaurus is a star.

Jericho looks like he needs a sober October. I know he’s older but he just looks like a drunk. That spinning elbow looks like crap.

Hangman doesn’t do it for me.

    Kenny/Cima was fun.

Production seemed to miss a ton of stuff.

JR getting in the refs all night was awesome.

Booth should only be 2 guys.

Show was good but too long.

Move sets and styles to me, are a little too similar and this is coming from a dude who loves PWG.

Still looking forward to the entire AEW crew getting better and better and figuring it all out. The in ring, promos and announcing (at times) are more exciting than anything WWE has going.

  4. Was the crowd absolutely silent at certain points or was it just me. When Revival came out and defended themselves it seemed to me like the crowd was just dead. And they also seemed to die during Miz TV.

Wonder if Revival did turn down the new contract?

Machine Gun and Gallows should have won...

I do think there is certainly stuff for me as well, and those 2 matches were clear highlights. But man, an arena full of people for Adam Cole having a match that felt like it was rehearsed 50 times was rough.

Amdrade had this great thing were he could have this type of match with Gargano and make it feel organic. Cole does NOT have that type of feel.

    That’s an interesting take.

Move always enjoyed Coles work and felt he kept up with gargono at this stage. When he has to play the over the top heel telling the good guy it isn’t his day, he loses me a bit, but overall I think he does a great job.

  6. Oh Walter is such a star. My wife who mostly half pays attention to shows and only ever asks about Bailey thought Walter looked “mean.” That’s a good reaction in my opinion.

i think dunne deserved the match he got, but I would have liked to see Walter with a 10 minute beat down to lead to more matches then end with something like what we saw. However, still loved it.

Adam Cole hit a Panama Sunrise. That was interesting.

    Loved this show.

Just arrived today. Sorry, The New Daniel Bryan.

I picked up this shirt at the Smackdown house show that just came through here. It's actually a comfortable shirt that fits! It's not to the soft tee level that pro wrestling tee's shirts can be, but it's not GIldan quality.

Unfortunately, "THE MAN" shirt I also got is the usual shitty WWE shirt quality.

Apart from the match being dull, that may have been the worst announcing I've ever heard. Like, not bad in an incompetent or crazy way, but so distracting and heat-killing to spend at least 15 minutes talking about how quiet Dean is around the house. Like, if you have this liability in the booking that Renee is married to Dean, maybe acknowledge it and move on but don't shine a spotlight on it and make the entire match about it.  Unless you're going to bring Renee into it...which they are probably stupid enough to do.

    Basically all of this.

Cory was annoying in continuing to ask Renee about Dean and Renee just couldn’t keep up.

Add to the fact this is a blood fued and Renee couldn’t be bothered.

Bryan with dragons on his knee pads and a small package win? Long live the dragon.

Hope we get a Becky and Askua fued.

  9. Joe totally kept Kayfabe Legitimacy as well as "shooting" in the softest sense.

Give him the title for at least 6 months. This was so good.

As for meltz. I subscribe. I enjoy all of it. I roll my eyes HARD when Bryan makes a joke and Meltz misses it. I think Dave should have just said, "I made a bad fake boob joke, and i'm sorry."

However, talking for as long as he did and tweets, i'm fine with his apology. And I REALLY like Peyton.........

  10. I usually have watched NJPW shows the next day through... well... other means.

I'm currently in Europe for work so im closer to their time zone where watching these shows live would make sense. After a little google-fu, I saw as I was leaving the gym it was 8pm in Japan, so I thought, "I'm headed back to my room and signing up for NJPW World and watching this..." Not realizing the show started at 9am my time.

When I finally got logged in, the stream started with them putting the belt on Kenny.... FUCK!!! Then I made the stream start from the beginning, opened up instagram on my phone and got the Bucks with the belt photo and Jericho with the belt photo....

Still amazing either way. Even knowing Kenny won the last 15 minutes has me on the edge of my seat.

    GOLDEN ELITE!

  11. This surely motivated AJ and Nak. Up to them now to destroy it.

Main had a real heel and a real face. And the crowd was with it. So awesome. Gargano can be the next American Dragon if they let him.

Everything else was awesome. Only gripe is how long ember moon hangs in brutal submissions against a legit fighter. Shayna GETS pro wrestling. She’s amazing.

  12. Rhoode looks VERY small next to HHH. Was pretty surprised by that.

Not letting Nakamura and Balor just Strong Style each other for about 4 minutes was a bummer.

The ending with all the story line really blew a chance for them to get over new people...

Was it me, or was the crowd not reacting like I would imagine the WWE wanted during Cena/Angle and pretty much everything else?

Nakamura and Roode did get some offense in on HHH... But why can't HHH do more to get these dudes over?

How do we get the Authority off our TVs? Do I have to cancel my WWE Network sub and just torrent? UGH.

  13. Didn't know R.D. Evans was a writer for WWE. Saw a picture of him and Drew Gulack backstage from the show and was surprised. Good for him! I wonder what his contributions have been so far.

  14. I've been a subscriber to FloSlam since WM weekend this year. I've probably used the service a total of 7 times. Of those 7 times I want to say I was able to get through 5 different shows, but that isn't the case. Even after a show was archived I could hardly ever get it to work. Having a streaming service in 2017 that doesn't just "work" isn't going to get my money anymore, regardless of the wrestlers they have on the shows. The pages layout (for the wrestling section) was horrendous. It was so hard t navigate and I never really knew what they actually had content wise. I understand sometimes streaming is a struggle, and they don't have the pockets of NetFlix, but the service nearly never worked for me.

So glad I canceled my subscription early in the month.

  15. Dolph felt.... lame. Worse than The Miz doing another version of Jumping Jeff Farmer (it seemed like that to me). Could have done without Dolph.

Fandango is so amazing in these. Cena second and chad2bad et all next. Really funny.

    Man, my goodness. Susan......

First one was better but this was still very fun with laugh out loud quality jokes.

Ordered a SPPW shirt and a Lethal leap year shirt as well!

WALTER, Keith Lee, Riddle and Tracy Williams are in a 4 way the next night in Carolina. That should rule. We get a sneak peek at WALTER/Keith Lee before BOLA. I really enjoyed the first Thatcher/Darby Allin match, so I'm glad we're getting a sequel.

Where and for what promotion? Would love to see Walter again (got to see him in Germany).

I remember reading a letter in one of those mags where a guy said he saw Tajiri warming up before an ECW house show and he was throwing kicks at the air. The guy was convinced Tajiri was using a noise maker or something b/c he was still hearing the smacking sound even though Tajiri wasn't kicking anything.

Wow, so weird this came up, I was actually thinking about this line the other day when talking to my wife about the "leg slap."

I thought I read the above (Tajiri warming up and the smack being heard) on an older version of this board back in the day (maybe around the time time of the first few pages of the original SLEEZE!~!~ thread)... Weird how we all seem to have read the same thing in so many different spots.
