  1. Styles would pop the crowd. Hero would pop the crowd. But it's gonna be Hero.
  2. I know the gif tells a different story, but shouldn't it be Daniel Bryan that shits like a rabbit? He's the vegan one, after all. He hasn't been a Vegan for a while. Soy allergy.
  3. Why doesn't Eddie Edwards catch as much flack as Davey. He is in most of those matches and spots. Is Kyle O'Reily the next Davey Richards?
  4. Cesaros roll in NXT is the guy who gets the NXT dudes some shine. It doesn't do anything to hinder Cesaro on the main roster for the reasons posted above. The WWE clearly sees value in Cesaro and I love seeing him on NXT. I was late to seeing who Sami is (Catching up on his Drake Younger Fued in PWG now) but i'm VERY much looking forward to his NXT run. The NXT crowd seems to REALLY take to the indie darlings and it seems NXT seems to know how to handle those guys.
  5. For anyone who called those hotlines, did they give newz?
  6. So, since Bret has said in an interview he regrets leaving WWE, did Bret REALLY screw Bret?
  7. I'm going to FIP tomorrow night in Ybor. From what i've seen at FIP shows and most indy shows, the guys on the card will either hang DURING the show or after the show. I figure it might get them a boost in merch sales if they are nice to "the marks." I was able to talk to Trent?, Pinkie, Akuma and one of the Bravados at a show. I thought it was cool and for me it adds to the experience. The Chikara show in Ybor was like that too, but it was funny and the guys stayed in character but still would pose for photos and stuff like that. I'm also a huge mark, so I love talking or meeting guys I enjoy watching. I will say, I don't like dudes on the card walking through the crowd BEFORE the show or peaking out of the curtain or something in street clothes. FUW had a lot of that going on and it kinda takes something away. *** when you say less than 100, do you mean WAY less? The shows in Ybor probably don't draw more than 60.
  8. I wonder what the chance of the WWE network starting as a purely WWE channel and then going into what G4 has become with round the clock COPS re-runs and no original programming outside of RAW?
  9. I am not up on Davey's business practices, but I would imagine if he is how this board and other think he is, that him getting signed to WWE is might make him think he was right in all he has done. I keep feeling like i'm not explaining myself right in regards to this. Either way. I had a dream him and Edwards were made to grow out there hair in Sami Callhian Style but dye it blonde and be vapid emo kids. I met them (in the dream) at a Tampa NXT show. Yup!
  10. Thanks for that. Interesting. Well, regardless, it seems he is going to NXT so if he has an ego, i'm sure he figures he is winning or something against ROH, if that makes sense.
  11. Hero is probably going to be all over the BIG indies for at least a few more months before he settles somewhere or takes a few tours in Europe and Japan. Him stiffing the crap out of Hardy would be awesome. Hero threw a punch at the FUW show I saw him on that would have made this board explode.
  12. Didn't it all end in a hug at some point too? And was playing off knowing each other in the indies before the WWE ever acknowledged there was a world outside them?
  13. Luke dressing like a late 90's skate punk is funny to me.
  14. Does anyone know what Davey Richards said in the European magazine to piss of ROH so much he didn't get his ROH goodbye?
  15. Most Indies do pretty cheap iPPV's so you can probably check out almost any indie fed and get a taste for cheap. PWG is my current favorite again. Lots of SUPER MOVES but I enjoy and the crowd is just fun enough and not overly annoying. Shimmer does shows here in Tampa, which i've yet to see (going this month) but from people i've talked to at FIP shows (which play the same place) they say it's really good. I realize i've contributed nothing to this thread, but I was looking for more indy threads and came across this. Still looking for people in Tampa who go to local indy shows and post here..
  16. Can anyone recap Bully Ray's and Necros contributions to this board?
  17. From meeting people at Indy shows, it seems a lot of guys come here and lurk and some even post. It would NOT shock me if Punk did, because i'm sure some of his friends do.
  18. I'm going to try and make the 27th show.Sam Alias (Corey Graves brother) just debuted with them (In an $80 shirt from express, BABY!) and is going to be in a 3-way title match with Matt Morgan and Titan. Alias didn't work a match but cut a fun promo, so i'm looking forward to that. I think they are doing the show at the Tampa Picture Show again and the venue is pretty cool, and the beer is cheap enough for a good time. I hear Hard Rock is a good time as well.
  19. There are a LOT of wrestling promotions in Tampa/Orlando these days... FIP runs Ybor and Orlando about every other month or so, usually doing two shows a weekend. One in Tampa, one in Orlando. I usually hit up the Tampa show, and while they don't draw insane numbers, it's in a cool bar/club and the shows are usually good and well worth the price. They also book most of the well known Indy stars (Roderick Strong is on the next show) but I get the feeling they draw a lot of casual fans to their shows. Last night Florida Underground Wresting (NWA offshoot) did a show in Tampa at a cool theater with Chris Hero on the card (Very cool dude). The venue was super cool and had a pretty decent sized crowd (maybe 50+). A lot of Chris Hero fans, but also a lot of casual fans. There is also Shine (in Ybor as well) and Evolve is coming back to Ybor in January. Uproar Wrestling is running its third show in January and their are a few other smaller indies in the Pasco (North of Tampa area). Anyway... There is a lot of wrestling that goes on here but a lot of the crowds are the typical southern fans. The Orlando fans for NXT are somewhat of an anomaly that seem like wwe fans (cheer and boo the "right guys") but seem to really grab onto the dudes who are legitimately GOOD. Which I like. One of the reasons NXT is good is because I think the crowd is the perfect mix of smart and legit into what is going on. Outside of some people turning their back on Bo, none of the fans seems to be trying to get themselves over. tldr; lots of good wrestling in Florida, weird crowds. On a side note. At last nights FUW show the guy selling Matt Morgans merch fell asleep at his gimmick table while Matt Morgan was in a match.....
  20. Could someone please give me the air date of the NXT Sami/Cesaro 2 out of 3 falls match? I seem to be getting every show but that one. Thanks! ABout Sami. I THINK he has done the NXT "house shows..."
  21. I hope the start of the inevitable Shield break down doesn't start tomorrow. Also. How many new refs were there tonight? The new asian guy in the opener was a little distracting before Ambrose's pinfall.
  22. Noticed that as well with Punk. Glad it didn't happen. Although, I would have LOVED if Bray would have got in and been all final boss on Punk and Bryan and just kicked their asses alone. Would have made an awesome GIF. Plus, Punk and Bryan have double team moves already.
  23. That would be a good line to follow. But does the "Universe" want Orton to be the guy who takes down Evil Cena? Nah.
