  1. I want Jericho to stay around to the next PPV rebooting his silly save-us Y2J!1! gimmick getting a title shot and getting the piss beaten out of him so badly he doesn't come back ever again, his jacket was cool as fuck tonight, though. Ambrose absolutely decimated Rollins with that lariat, good fucking god that was great, imagine the pop that would get cleaning Brock's head off at Mania.
  2. I think it's more so Reign's artificial rise from an seemingly organic beginning, Reigns was picking up some organic steam because he was cool, you don't get genuinely cool guys in wrestling anymore. He wasn't the mouth piece in the Shield, he was the one liner, he finished off the Shields promos with a thunderbolt of a exclamation mark. He was the ass-kicking muscle man extremely effective in his role due to all his flaws being hidden. He isn't a singles guy, not yet. He's worked two years in a role of a three man unit where he was extremely good. Now the spotlight is being shown clearly on all his flaws, being thrown into 15 minute matches and having a microphone put into his hand every week attempting to cut a promo is the complete antithesis of what made him so organic in the first place. The backlash is inevitable at this point, but the way he's being booked shows he's the guy that they've chosen, and artificially or not, will be taking the title far sooner than he should.
  3. Yeah I think the long term plan was for Brock to take the title at SummerSlam regardless of who had it. Beating the streak then losing his next match makes no sense at all,
  4. I'm genuinely scared for Cena's health. I hope Brock chains him to the turnbuckle again and all sorts of barbaric shit, this time the right man wins. (But he wont, and the meltdown will be glorious) This card looks really good on paper, looking forward to it.
  5. Del Rio must have been on a few quid. Perfect opportunity to justifiably sack him when the company is in the shit financially.
  6. A buddy of mine is quite a new fan and his favorite wrestler is Del Rio. Those Rio/Sheamus matches nearly broke him (as they did nearly 99% of DVDVR, but for different reasons). I should really check up on him, he's currently ''away'' on Windows Messenger and has been since the news broke.
  7. Monaco's Dimitar Berbatov and Vinny Mac resembling a waxwork.
  8. Batista won his first world title when he was 37. Age doesn't really matter, 29 is relatively young in 2014 WWE. Hell KENTA and Devitt are both in there 30's and are years behind Reigns in WWE land. Reigns will be a top star one day, no doubt about it. Is he ready for the company to be built around him? No. He isn't. Will he get the chance? probably not for a few years considering Cena is still around and isn't showing any signs of slowing down either.
  9. Batista was pretty shit as well until his feud with Trips shot him to the stars. Reigns will be fine, organically or not he's getting the title at some point in the next year, plenty of time to learn.
  10. Roode's had plaudits from The Rock and Trips is a huge admirer of him, the only thing that goes against him is his age.. well two, having a young family and not wanting to work for a few quid trying to make it work in NXT. I'd love to see him step up though, massive fan.
  11. CM Punk. For single handily getting me back into wrestling with that promo in 2011. I was going through some bullshit at the time, getting in trouble, hanging with the wrong people and generally being a liability to myself and a stain on my family name. I hadn't watched wrestling in a long time, I was talking in a group-chat on Windows Messenger and some of my buddies were hyping the shit out of this promo, I checked it out and was immediately hooked again. Wrestling took over my self-destructiveness and steered me into the right direction. So yeah, thanks Phil if you're reading this. you're still a pretty shitty wrestler by all means, but thanks.
  12. Who...who is that? It looks like the British Bulldog during that awful period where he wore jeans, but he never bumped like that?! Did he?! It's Bulldog, even the king of the Stunner oversell is perplexed as to what's going on.

  14. Looks like Trips has read the Battleground thread.
  15. Why are Jericho and Wyatt feuding, like seriously I don't get it? I did roll my eyes at Cole's or whoever it was line about it being a personal as it gets whilst Ambrose is hiding in trunks of cars and jumping barriers wanting to tear Rollins balls off. It's like a watered down version of the Cena/Wyatt feud with the same results. Poor Bray. Yeah. I was sure they would throw the belt on Bo Dallas, the streak thing he had going was cool.
  16. Could Ambrose not have nicked Rollins briefcase?
  17. It'll be worth it for Cena being laid out by Brock at the end and Ambrose/Rollins has all the potential in the world to be one of the matches of the year, it feels the most important match on the show. I didn't know so many people were so uptight about watching wrestling, jeez.
  18. Well now we know it's a work. Who the hell booked that shit? So instead of having Ambrose make his return later on in the show, brawl with Rollins to the back (leaving the other 4 to close the show) essentially enhancing their feud with the importance it deserves. We get Rollins being a non factor and leaving it up to assumption that he's legitimately hurt and Ambrose not even appearing. I know SmackDown is the last show before Battleground and they can tie up loose ends if they wanted to, but yeah, uninspiring, lazy booking. The ability to create new stars is in the details, hell even Russo would have done something more viable than this pile of wank.
  19. They have Heyman and Dutch Mantel working for the damn company. Please just let them work in unison to book everything Ambrose. This authority thing can fuck off now. Bored to death of it.
