  1. Hard to believe that Almas/Gargano is WWF/E's 6th 5* match. Off the top I'd have both Michaels/Taker mania matches, Bate/Dunne, AJ/Cena & Brock/Roman ahead of it. Shit there's probably hundreds.
  2. Finn has won his biggest matches to date in his demon paint. The ''mortal'' leather jacket version Balor, thinking within WWE's bi-polar logic can take falls to Cena & Bray without being harmed. That being said the argument can be been made that he was the ironman in the Rumble the night prior and wasn't 100% but took Cena to his limit but came up short. I don't see how he was buried at all. Elevated? No. Lost momentum? Debatable but salvageable, he lost against John Cena, not Heath Slater.
  3. Great match. Best New Japan match this year for me. Has anyone been as good as Suzuki at nearly 50 years old? Hope Tana finally takes some time off now
  4. Yeah denying Enzo wasn't this charismatic juggernaut hardly seen since the heyday of the attitude era is plain dumb, it's like saying Baron Corbyn could do what Enzo did because ''it was all written'' for him. Really bad take there.
  5. Ziggler has to be a huge dark horse to win the rumble going in (I don't read much into betting this far out) but with his contract being renewed recently (and the WWE brass willing to give him certain incentives to stay) dropping the IC belt & being gone from TV ever since, I'd be willing to make a small wager on it. Hell, have him eliminate Nakamura last. The collective rage of the IWC would be amazing.
  6. I dug the formatting of this show more than anything, really easy watch that had it's own unique appeal much like the UK tournament did. Coming from someone who has a low attention span one match a week is fine by me.
  7. Shit I thought with how long it was dragging on that Finn was going to eat a Magic Killer from the Good Brothers or they were going to run some goofy HBK fainting angle then it just... ended. You just know Vince was audibly yelling in the back that it was exactly what he was looking for, too. The senile old freak
  8. Yeah clearly Finn looking all lackadaisical for a minute or two at the end there was to re-establish the stomp as Murder Death Kill rather than having his bell legitimately rung. This was a glorious episode of Nitro
  9. Yeah Marty Scurll sucks n' all but look at those fucking wings! He might have the coolest look in wrestling at this point.
  10. https://omny.fm/shows/talk-is-jericho/wrestle-kingdom-12-preview-alpha-vs-omega-unveiled Callis & Jericho go into depth regarding the Omega match plus how Don's position in New Japan came to fruition - well worth an hour if you have the time.
  11. I'm baffled as to why Jinder didn't win the US title in the summer giving AJ/Owens with Shane's shenanigans the WWE title to feud over. I think in hindsight given Jinder totally bombed and wasn't the draw they were expecting in India (Indians aren't morons, they know Jinder is Canadian) it would have worked better that way. But anyway, we're getting exactly this now and I'm not mad at it. As others have touched on the tag division is aces. Not only the titles but also Breezango/Bludgeon brothers/Ascension have their own separate thing going on. All this weird Ziggler shit isn't leading to him winning the Rumble, is it?
  12. Carmella stated on twitter she's going to be in it. 20 seems like a solid number. You have to expect they'll be a few qualifying matches on the way too. 10 surprises is overkill and honestly, booking two 30 person rumble matches seems like a nightmare.
  13. I could watch Chad Gable chaos theory motherfuckers all day long. AJ/Jinder was Jinder's best match ever. AJ is having an all time WWE great run and he's only been in the company two years. It's nice to have a champion that the majority of fans want to be champion for once.
  14. Yeah probably Marty's best match I've seen outside of the Ospreay matches. Not sure if it's due to Marty improving or Jay being really good but they gelled well together. Briscoes/ECW vets was disappointing
  15. The idea of AJ/Brock two years ago would have been almost a dream - but suplex city Brock is boring as shit. The Joe & Braun matches both sucked (good build, poor execution). Outside of the Goldberg match Brock has been diminishing to the point of Ziggler levels for me. We all know Jinder will win it back in India, that's obvious, but AJ getting his moment is pretty cool.
  16. Stevie looks fantastic which is no surprise considering how well he's managed his body and has never had any of the self-destructive habits his peers have had over the years. Jerry Lynn looks like the worlds most friendliest neighbor. The rest look ancient
  17. As much as everybody wanted the Ibushi match, I'm all in on Jericho. Massive statement going into 2018 by NJPW. Last two matches ruled. Jay White as switchblade? Meh, it's new I suppose.
  18. I think Supremebve is short changing not only Bisping but GSP a little there. Taking into account GSP's 4 year layoff, going up a weight class and clearly gassing in the second round to finish a highly regarded middleweight so cleanly is no mean feat. You can't deny Bisping anymore, he won 5 straight fights, he earned his calling as champion. GSP looked incredible in there all things considered. GSP doesn't finish fights but he finished this one in spectacular fashion.
