WWE Superstar Shake-Up (RAW/SDL 4/16-4/17/18)
Rehabilitated Rick replied to The Natural's topic in WWE PROGRAMMING
Reigns should be drafted to SDL with Bryan going the other way. Much like Batista and Cena swapped brands in 2005 That way we get the Bryan/Brock match. Then Brock can leave forever. -

having Angle produce the TNA dig despite them taking a chance on him when he was a drugged up mess paying him handsomely in the process was interesting. Oh yeah the AOP thing. I get Ellering is 140 years old and probably can't do the roadie life anymore, but he was the glue that held their act together. Without him it could be a disaster. Unless -

Cole is just Vince's mouth piece he's been burying the Woken stuff since it took off. COACH IS THE WORST, like. I know it's been covered before. But yeah, he just sucks. Like suggesting football fans chant ''he's got the whole world in his hands'', or comparing Make-A-Wish kids to fictional jobs on television. He must have been micro-managed on ESPN because he absolutely cannot think on his feet. A real brain fart of a commentator. I felt bad for Paige. I assume she'll be kept on in some capacity, GM of SD would make sense with Bryan transitioning back to being a wrestler and Shane taking time off. -
If Roman kicked out of just ONE after being blooded up, it would have had a greater effect than kicking out of five of them, it's just agenda exposing bullshit that we're accustomed to with Vince. Hell even one F-5 knocked Braun out, and Braun had beaten Reigns a dozen times in the past year. Why even bother.
-
I didn't notice that. He looks eerily similar to Zack Gibson now.

40 seconds in. Shit gave me goosebumps, I'll probably break the replay button before I go to bed.

like Piranesi said, Cena building to the match for the past month only to get squashed made him look like a clown. If Taker can't go, then he shouldn't be working full stop. He was hitting the ropes, hitting the corners, nailing leg drops and whatever else. The gripe here is the handling of Cena (who would have thought?) and the build up promising so much more.
-
Cena can blame the loss on the two miller lites he had during the show. Seriously though, Cena is in Hogan/Austin/Rock territory, he shouldn't be getting squashed like that. Taker looked good, slick, fast, mobile. The complete opposite of last year. My only takeaway would be it re-established his stock going forward, but why? He's 50 years old. Head scratcher.
-
was that another ploy to get Roman over? playing the long game? I can suspend my disbelief, but Reigns kicking out of 5 F-5's was a little too far. this really was a show, lot's to talk about. Wow.

NXT TAKEOVER - NEW ORLEANS - 4/7/2018
Rehabilitated Rick replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in WWE PROGRAMMING
Drake being dressed in a no-nonsense basic NXT shirt with gloves rather than a traditional zebra was a nice touch. They teased Drew having unfinished business with Almas with or without the title on the pre-show. My guess is Almas sticks around for at least another takeover. Strange having him drop the belt here if he isn't being brought up though. If I was to hazard a guess at post-Mania call ups: Sanity, Ember & Almas w/Vega -

I don't see Vince comparing the main shows to NXT at all. Yes the shows are killer but the investment hasn't nearly returned a profit yet and that's all he cares about. Anyway, honestly an all time great show. Within the confines of a restricted PG environment the Main was just about as perfect as you can get. -
2018 INDIE WRESTLING THREAD
Rehabilitated Rick replied to RIPPA's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
PCO is hitting moonsaults to the outside, crashing through tables and dueling with chops with fucking WALTER at nearly 2am in New Orleans. Pro Wrestling, folks. I'm with Oyaji, that was my favorite match of the week so far -
Jarrius has more charisma than 80% of the roster. Such a star. So funny. I've broken about 3 times during Henry's speech, and now I'm pissing with laughter. What a man.

DANIEL BRYAN *IS* WRESTLING AGAIN
Rehabilitated Rick replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
He's already had one good send off. I only see Bryan not resigning as a self-imposed vanity thing. It's not a Cody situation here in a sense that he wants to prove himself. Selfishly, Bryan being mothered through every match by the WWE docs puts my mind at rest that he's not going to end up a vegetable wrestling the likes of Walter on the indies for a fraction of the money he would be earning in the WWE. If he can wrestle a lighter schedule main eventing shows against AJ/Nakamura/Rusev etc, then we all win. -

MARCH 2018 WRESTLING PHOTOS THREAD.
Rehabilitated Rick replied to The Natural's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
GGG missed a trick with the caption there -
Never seen anything of EC3 before but yeah I'm in. Plus points for acknowledging and flowing with the crowd rather than staying robotic and ignoring them, a small detail that made KO's run in NXT so great. Dig the 1% thing.
-
Ok he took a while to blossom but Cody is firing on all cylinders at the moment. I don't think it's a case of WWE dropping the ball but more so Cody proving he deserved at least more of a shot. Not only his character work but his investment in the finer details like buying the weight lifting belts, or changing up his attire every event, or walking around in a suit. He elevates every show he's on. What a character.

I forgot that happened. I think Kane makes the most sense Or Bryan wrestles them both Or bring up Ohno as someone from all of their past as a surprise. Though Vince would laugh that idea out of WWE HQ -

he still gets regular bookings on the east coast the last I knew. Mostly featuring on House of Hardcore for Dreamer. For someone as painfully average as him, fair play. -
MARCH 2018 WRESTLING DISCUSSION
Rehabilitated Rick replied to The Natural's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Some of the developmental guys have been posting their work out regiments today, this is some crazy shit. and now I want Lars to be Braun's surprise tag partner at Mania. Braun/Lars steamrolling motherfuckers into the summer would satisfy. Shit they even have history.
