  1. That's not Doink, that's Mad Clown from Super Punch Out!!
  2. Yep. He claimed there was something wrong with the engine. And he knew this because he was a pilot. He demanded to be let off the plane and suggested that others should follow him. It did not endear him to anyone.
  3. TNA would be worlds better if Savage Steve Holland had the book. EC3 would make a fine Teddy Beckerstead stand in.
  4. The biggest problem with the movies is, they're all paint by numbers copies of the others. The newest one with Ziggler had a chance, started out fun, but then fell into the same pattern as the ones that proceded it.
  5. It's the most wonderful time, of the year... Box Office 1. Finding Dory 2. X-Men: Apocalypse 3. Independence Day: Resurgence 4. The BFG 5. Angry Birds 6. Alice Through the Looking Glass 7. Suicide Squad 8. Star Trek Beyond 9. Ghostbusters 10. Ice Age: Collision Course 11. Central Intelligence 12. Now You See Me 2 13. Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising 14. The Conjuring 2 15. The Nice Guys Rotten Tomatoes 1. Finding Dory 2. The BFG 3. The Nice Guys 4. Suicide Squad 5. Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising 6. Star Trek Beyond 7. Jason Bourne 8. Independence Day Resurgence 9. Ghostbusters 10. Central Intelligence 11. Alice Through the Looking Glass 12. Angry Birds 13. The Conjuring 2 14. X Men Apocalypse 15. Warcraft Tiebreaker Now You See Me 2: $56,000,000
  6. Anyone else find it a bit weird that Vince was talking about his kids brutally murdering each other on a supposedly PG show?
  7. In his debut match I remember at least three botches, I don't think that gimmick made TV more than a couple times.
  8. It is an alternate name for a ninja. The gimmick was Snow was a hired assassin for Cornette.
  9. It's astounding to me that every time TNA looks like they're in their dying days, it becomes even more of a car crash shit show than the previous time they were near death. Bravo!
  10. I thought so at the time too. Looking back on it though, he was probably too reckless and dangerous in ring to get to that level. Fun to watch, not to work with.
  11. I'm of the belief Kevin Greene could have been great if he had stuck with wrestling. He just had "it". I remember growing up, Minnesota Twins first baseman Kent Hrbek always talked about a career in pro wrestling whenever he was done with baseball, he even had a gimmick name ( " T-Rex "). Perhaps AWA shutting it's doors put the kibosh on that, I think he would've been great.
  12. Gotta wonder how Mojo Rawley feels about Ryder getting the singles "push" (ish) and Blake and Murphy watching all their contemporaries get the call up.
  13. Nah, the finals this year weren't nearly as contentious as, say, when Cesaro was wrongly crowned champion in an absolute miscarriage of justice.
  14. Well I'm pleased I did quite well in the pick em (2nd place) and then had Matt D go on the run of a lifetime and beat me! You've made a very mediocre enemy today, Matt D!!
  15. i seem to remember Road Dogg and Mick Foley doing something to that effect on a house show, calling spots on mic for everyone to hear. Then they had a "miscommunication" and started going at it "for real". Not sure if this is and Internet folk tale or not, never seen footage. Edit: sorry about huge empty space, I'm on my phone
  16. They did, Reigns. Unfortunately it was a bottle rocket, zipping all sorts of variations of up and down.
  17. In my infinite wisdom as a ten year old, I DDT'd my buddy during hockey practice, because "we had helmets on, how could it possibly hurt?" He didn't get up for a while. I didn't have to be told not to do that again.
  18. The text over the video and the contents of the text were groan-worthy, but if I didn't know who he was, if be pretty psyched to see him debut. Nakamura in this one, and every one until he meets Bayley or Sasha.
  19. At the Rumble, when Owens got tope'd and flew over the announce table, he took out Michael Cole and pawed his glasses off his face. It was the funniest thing I've seen in wrestling in ages. Hand him the crown.
  20. If it was purely on in ring, I'd go Sombra. But New Day gets every other part of being a performer so right, have to go with them on this one.
  21. Is there a pending lawsuit where a kid died because he took this move or something? I just can't fathom how they went from building up this move as an elite finisher to never speaking of it again seemingly overnight. I think it was around the time of the class action lawsuit from former wrestlers concerning concussions, and the perception of the top guy stomping people's heads as a finishing move wouldn't look good on their part, in the internal opinion.
  22. In an effort to learn more about Sean Royal, I read his wiki. Apparently in 2002, (same year the New Breed traveled back from), another Sean Royal turned up. They were both active for a time, and the older was being credited for championships the younger one had won. I really hope all of that is just time travel continuinty stuff.
  23. Barrett as a short term champ during the height of the Nexus would still be more fondly remembered than Swaggee. It would have made that period of time alot more significant and memorable, and possibly had him in a better slot now.
  24. It seems as though once something works, it will get redone over and over thinking it will work again, ignoring the circumstances that lead to the original thing working. The evil authority figure etc.
  25. Bob Holly mentioned it in his book. And no, there was no given reason. When he asked why they were dropping the belts they had no real answer. I would guess the Gunns were originally scheduled to win the tourney and Billy's injury made them unable to compete, so the Gunns winning the next night just returned to the status quo. Isn;t the old school theory/rule that if you sub a babyface into a title match they have to win. Send the fans home happy even if they didn't see what was advertised. There is some truth to this, but it's not as if Holly/Kid just stepped in to the finals of the tournament. They replaced the Gunns before the first round started, so it's a bit of a stretch in that respect.
