"If you'd like to know more about what I'm going to do to your face call 1-900-909-9900 right now! Don't delay!"
I was gonna add the "Kids, get your parent permission etc." part but given the context, that's wildly inappropriate.

How many reigns does Jeff Jarrett have in that alternate universe? 37?
In a row?

I think that part of it was that it was right after Thanksgiving so people might not have been as tuned into this stuff as usual? I know I was travelling and not looking at the comics news sites as much. There's also a lot of more distracting real news these days.
It certainly didn't help that every commercial for the whole deal was all "EPIC 4 PART CROSSOVER", but that said, what an amazing crossover it was. It was so much fun.

Rude looks totally goofy, like he 's holding in a bong rip.
Don't be ridiculous. He was definitely a joint guy.

I watched the first episode of Channel Zero: Candle Cove on SyFy. It's an interesting premise, but jesus the acting is about as bland and emotionless as you can get. Hoping it picks up performance wise.
Agreed on both counts. Creepypasta has always seemed silly to me, but the one this was based on got me good. Everything in Channel Zero just seems so cold and calculated, hopefully that's just setting the scene.

Long time DVDVR favorite Victator has written a book. I figured I'd pimp it for him. It's free:
Very enjoyable read, highly recommend.

What if Kevin Dunn's dad never saved those TV tapings from a burning truck? What becomes of the WWF? What happens to who Jim Cornette refers to as the "Bucky Beaver motherfucker"?
He signs a fat WCW contract in the late 90s, and has his hackery exposed, then spends the next twenty or so years burying everything in modern wrestling because he craves the attention.

Were there curfews for most of the arenas or was that an MSG thing?
I only remember it being an MSG thing, due to have to pay the crew either double time or another full day's pay if it went past a certain predetermined time.

The old secondary shows were the best. My favorite was Paul London showing up in a sleeveless fur coat and crazy boot tassels and being referred to as "Futuristic Caveman" Paul London, with his 450 finisher being rechristened the "Cosmic Cyclone". I think it lasted about 3 weeks.

The best part of WWF's AOL chatroom is that Dutch Mantel would occasionally come in and just tell stories.
Chris Kanyon was in there pretty regularly for a while, right around the time he started doing the Mortis gimmick. He was quite friendly and gracious.

Thanks for the replies, guys! I always found it a little disappointing that they put all of this effort into Bigelow in 95, only for him to be gone at the end of the year. In the short term, it at least seemed like they wanted him to be a top tier babyface.
He was slotted to move into the main events, but he ran afoul of the Kliq, and that was about the end of it

It's a good thing Smackdown snapped up the Ascension while they could, they may have ended up with some dead ender like Nakamura, Samoa Joe or Bayley

I agree, I just don't see how it would hurt to fall on someone as beefy as Big E, not to mention that Big E is the perfect candidate to revive the jackhammer.
This reminds me of a point I frequently forget to make; why does no one ever "learn" an awesome new finishing move. It seems like everyone gets stuck with one on day one and that's it.

Tito Santana was 24 years old at the time of his pro wrestling debut. It could also be the number of hours in a day that he is a bad motherfucker.

I've always thought Macho Man had the perfect moveset for his character, always a joy to watch.
In terms of cool looking stuff, Blitzkrieg blew my fuckin mind as a teenager, and is still very impressive to older me.

Central Intelligence is way better than I would have anticipated, it's not a great movie but it sure is fun. Rock and Kevin Hart have great chemistry.
Man, I'm gonna get nauseous if I keep flying around the list like this.

Pretty sure my spot is still due to late entry.
that was quite the rise for Skeeball wizard.
Not to worry, my late game free fall is still in the cards. But then, who knows with how this Sumner box office is going, just all over the place weird.
