Super babyface (pun intended) Nikki jumping Charlotte from behind and waffling her with a chairshot is some head-scratching booking.

Bless her heart, she's trying to make the best out of a series of bad ideas, but I feel we can just skip to the "I've got 3 words: 'Die Rocky Die' " part of this arc.

FWIW I heard it right before Nikki did the Code Red or whatever on the ropes onto Charlotte. They were chanting something, anyway.

This was the first time I'd been to a show at Rosemont, and it IS as loud as I'd always been told it was, so by the time whatever noise got to me in section 212, it was a total cacophony.

    Charlotte is on fire.

I can tell you the crowd was about 90/10 for Charlotte until the finish.

There was also a fun little match after 11 between Lashley/MVP and New Day.

I swear I heard them chant "PIZZA CUTTER" at the end. Or maybe that was just me, because I was saying it too.

You could tell they wanted to say something -- anything -- just given the start going from huge boos at the mention of Goldberg to chanting his fucking name in moments.

Football season is gonna be loud.

I was there but I can't confirm that.

WE WANT WYATT: 1, possibly 2

    CM PUNK: 9, unofficially.

WHOOOO!: Too many times to even think about counting. It was all night.

With the idea of WWE being sold, presumably to some giant corporation, I'm so grateful for the existence of AEW right now.

Unlike when Lucas or Marvel cashed their checks to Disney, there really isn't an entity out there that can be considered a worthy successor to being a brand gatekeeper/creator, and that's what's concerning.

What the hell is going on? Did Braun Strowman piss Vince off?

I feel like they were in a little bit of a box with him if they didn't feel they could go all the way with him but he didn't quite fit into the Kane spot either, that they likely felt their best option was to punt and hit the reset button down the road.

This is a little misleading stat since the last time a TE was taken in the Top 5 period was 1972

And there have only been 2 total - Ditka and Riley Odoms (not including Pitts)

I don't recall if I said Top 10 or Top 5, but the point still stands. I probably MEANT to say Top 10 and misspoke when I said it to K.

Which, also to be fair, was a little bit of a cheat as well since Tony Gonzalez was drafted at #11. But it's still a long line of *air quotes* generational tight end prospects that bit the dust. That's closer to the point at heart.

Omos with some ten year vet level shit talking tonight. That was my favorite “be the giant” match in a long time.

The Nikita Koloff rule ("Stay on your feet or bye bye push") was definitely in effect with Omos.

    Observation, not complaint.

Both classes on the same night - Tuesday 6th

WWE's answer to the Exploding Barbed Wire match might be them using it as a deterrent for anyone who makes an acceptance speech longer than 7 minutes.

Not the first wrestler by any means, but I daresay he's easily the biggest star in wrestling to come out. From what I've read, most wrestlers he shared a locker room with could care less if he was gay or not... he was a phenomenal worker, drew money and was a good guy. His being gay just meant there was more trim for everyone else. ?

I think it was Jericho's podcast where Pat told the story about how one day early in his tenure in California that Roy Shire confronted him about his sexuality and Patterson confirmed it and said he wouldn't do anything to have it be an issue, punctuated by "...and I worked there for another 15 years."

And this was pre-Stonewall, let alone what a pro wrestling locker room had to be on that front at the time.

    "There's Carmella, standing tall!!!!".

As far as Hogan, didn't watch enough of his WWF stuff in real time but, at least in the AWA, it wasn't at all uncommon for him to make saves.

WWF kicked off an angle that was arguably their best long-term storytelling and as a bonus spat $1000 bills from 1987-89 based on this premise.

I put Kane/Lita at #2 behind Savage/Liz. For wrestling weddings, nothing tops Jake, Taker, and Paul Bearer crashing the reception. The cobra in the box was just the epitome of evil.

And while I don't think the Vachon wedding is necessarily better, it has a level of anarchy that will never ever be seen again on WWE TV. It's like a Muppets segment.

Bryan vs. Owens vs. Ali had the hard task of getting the crowd back on their side with the crowd wanting Kofi. Reminded me of the crowd sitting on the 2014 Royal Rumble match when Bryan wasn't the 30th entrant and the 2015 Royal Rumble when he was eliminated early.

Literally my first thought was Rey Mysterio as #30 and how he got booed out the building and thinking, "They've killed Ali dead as a babyface by putting him in this spot". But to his credit, he got the crowd back after they got over Kofi not being there. To someone else's point there's not a lot of guys who COULD have done that.

  14. Hi. Remember me?

So... I've been away from the board for a good while. For the last year I've been working in Paducah, KY...which just this week I parlayed into a job offer in Chicago.

...where I haven't actually been in years. Looking for general eecommendations, etc.

Also, if there's any groups from here that go to Indy shows in the Chicagoland area (AEW, etc), I'd love to be a tagalong, my schedule permitting.

But that aside, what is stuff that I should know about (stores, food, etc)?

When you say you forgive a friend and take them back, that should be the end of it. So Dean is the heel.

Something to remember is understandable does not mean justified.

Ah, but you're looking for logic in a mind (character wise) where it doesn't exist. That's the point.  Even if Ambrose turning on Rollins isn't justified, in his mind it is.

When Rollins mentioned "Ambrose Time" Dean yelled at him something like "What because I'm a LUNATIC????"

So it's that thing of a crazy guy who has been labelled as the "crazy guy" who (because he is genuinely crazy) suddenly decides that all these years everyone has been ridiculing him and is out to get him and the slightest thing will set him off (like "Ambrose time") because he's already made up his addled mind that he's going to go feral on someone, or worse, he's genuinely gone into a kind of boiling rage state and no matter what you say he is going to hear "Hey, it's the LOOOONATIC HAHAHAHA!!!" and lose his shit.

Once that switch was thrown a few weeks ago, it was inevitable. There is literally nothing Rollins could have said or done that would not have been translated in Dean's fucked up brain as "We've all been secretly making fun of you for years, freak."

    Basically, he's Bullseye.

And I know it's questionable judgment at best to look at this with a wide lens from a story standpoint, BUT... it's fair to say Roman was the glue of Shield 2.0, and the combination of his bestie announcing he was possibly deathly ill combined with now being stuck with the one he privately can't stand snapped his already-fragile psyche.

Ill-timed is a rightfully debatable point. Illogical, less so.
