  1. How can you love Bryan Danielson any more? When he does things like this. Just brilliant.
  2. I love Lindaman but that jump start tope is paralysis waiting to happen. The clearance is marginal at best
  3. I have to catch up on a couple of matches but this was a damned great show. I really loved Dash and Michiko working headlocks and kicking the piss out of each other. Top three matches were all great but for the love of Shibata, tone down on the headbutts. Shingo v Kawakami will do just nicely, thanks for asking. I’d say it but DEAN will sue.. take it away squire…
  4. Absolutely. Nagata’s 2007 was better than many guys careers. He remains one of my top workers of all time. Everyone should get hold of the IWGP title blu ray box set volume that covers 2007. Especially given it includes the complete Nagata v Tanahashi rematch from October that was on my most wanted list for years. The Tana/Nagata matches from 2007 are damn near perfect pro-wrestling.
  5. Some, but these days not bloody much
  6. Two days countdown to hossfest, aka GLEAT @korakuen. If this show isn’t balls out great I’ll lose all faith in what’s left of humanity!
  7. I would like to formally request the return of cheering in time for May 18 because the Korakuen GLEAT show is stackkkked.
  8. Anyone know the source for this version as I’m still a physical media person. I’d never actually seen this version, the one I have from Barnett years ago is dark and washed out. Thanks!
  9. There are several shows from 2006-2008 that aired on samurai tv
  10. I’m not backtracking to see if it’s been mentioned, but I’m still mighty fond of Yuji Nagata vs. Togi Makabe from a red hot korakuen, July 6, 2007. One goes method to perfectly acceptable results. The other decides on freestyle with an assist and hits the bloody jackpot. A GREAT brawl
  11. Close. He called it the new world order right off the bat but flubbed it later in the promo and called it the new world organisation
  12. Vintage old school main event. Murdoch spending half an hour and half his wrist tape getting ready to blade was night and day with Punk’s recent efforts however!
  13. Happy birthday Champ. We all need days like that, as trivial as they may appear to some. They go a long way in this day and age to help our mental health and well being. If I get a new vinyl, some sushi, brewed in Japan beer and a sniff of TV time for wrasslin’, I’m a happy man. Ultimately that’s why AEW has been so important; it’s made us happy.
  14. These interviews that Garret and Dave do are absolutely top notch. Bryan is really engaging and interesting. They cover a bunch of topics and go off on numerous thought provoking tangents. It’s a very enlightening and entertaining chat that you should make time for.
  15. Bryan just being the most pro-wrestling pro-wrestler there is.
  16. Perfect go-home show top to tail. The best thing about AEW is you know what you want them to do, and goddamit, they do it. It’s like everything we have been deprived of in US pro-wrestling for nearly 30 years. Can’t think of a classic pro-wrestling angle done as well as Punk and MJF in years. Everything Punk does is a masterclass and that includes gigging before the ring shot.
  17. I have to go back and watch the whole show due to brain fade, but I will give the main of tonight’s GLEAT show a big fat holy fuck. So good I almost forgot about the fans not cheering.
  18. Always a pleasure listening to Kenny talk wrestling, a really interesting guy and always some insightful stories and recollections. Also love him just dropping in that Cody was on a flight to Saudi
  19. Desperado and Wato going 30 minutes just because Gedo said they could; that’s discussion on talent, push and booking all neatly packaged. Remember when every NJPW show was a date in the diary? Two great matches every big show ain’t going to cut it. Even I’ve got to admit they are pretty much on their arse right now.
  20. Emerged from the nightly yt rabbit hole to find myself one match into the GLEAT show. Obviously I stayed, naturally I had a great time. GLEAT good!
  21. Good god man, I’d totally forgotten about Apple. Hang my head in shame
