I was not. Lucas Giolito just got promoted though, so I'm hoping to make it down to see him over the last month of the season.
-
Because he's been good since his minor league demotion. Total DFA bait after the season though - making $6.65 with two years of arb left. No thanks.

The Cishek deal wasn't interdivisional, but it could be argued the Marlins aren't really a pro franchise. (also, the Conor Gillaspie sale to the Angels, but that only got an eyeroll from me)

Juan Uri-bae and Kelly Johnson dealt to the Mets. We hardly knew ye, Juan.

Well, his last week was supposed to be next week...but ESPN just pulled him off the air, so he's done for good. Interesting to see if Fox backs off now.

The return is a live-armed pitcher that's a converted infielder. Hardly some sort of stud in the making, but a lottery ticket. For a guy like Ramirez, I think that's appropriate. Side note - that Ramirez contract turned out pretty well (all things considered), considering how much it got slammed at the time

Probably my favorite trade that could have happened. YOU CAN GO HOME AGAIN

The teaser for next week's episode has me real amped. Just in that 30 seconds or whatever, the Red Dragon arc looks perfect.
-
Yeah, it was. Felt more like season one than season three. No Brody bullshit.
-
Cecil Cooper, I do believe.

I compiled his ten best monologues into a post. Without shilling, I'd recommend you watch his eulogies of Tony Gwynn, the one to Stuart Scott I posted above, and Lou Gehrig.

Cowherd's leaving ESPN. Light the victory cigar! (though he's still probably going to end up with Fox, which suuuuuuuuuuucks)

I got a cast-iron skillet, and nothing else (yet). I'm also kind of realizing "hey, most of the games for XBOne are RPGs or FPSes. Enjoy!"

More importantly, why did Ciara feel the need to have backup singers?

So, that Home Run Derby was pretty prettttttty awesome.

I've finished all the main Riddler missions. The last race I cleared on the third try...not bragging, but I did the "noob" method of completely letting off the gas during the tricky parts and easing my way through. A little bit of luck was involved, but whatever. I also cleared out all of the firefighters, the remaining transports, and a couple of the roads missions. All I have left is those GODDAMN AWFUL Firefly missions and I think three or four roads checkpoints. In the main story, I'm on the "track Gordon" part...like, 80% clear there. it's a bit absurd how you "stumble across" side missions. Like, all of the firefighters were around, but were in such off the wall places that I needed an online guide for the coordinates. Don't even get me started on the transports....hey, there's one, driving around! And here's six cars from out of nowhere for you to destroy! Good luck! Ridiculous. It's a fun game, don't get me wrong...but I'm just a bit frustrated about some aspects of it.

fwiw I was told Smith isn't going anywhere

While the MMA media is in Vegas focusing on the UFC.... Bellator has replaced Sean Wheelock on PBP with Celtics radio voice Sean Grande. Shocked really.
-
Surprised no one twitpic'd them to Men in Blazers with the caption "full kit wanker"
-
I've got a few road checkpoints left, I think three firefighters, and four of those awful transporters....then just riddles and 20% of the main mission. I think. Finished Manbat/Azrael/Street Bombs tonight. Oh, and the Firefly missions. Those are a DISASTER.

They've beaten the tar out of the White Sox. That's overly simplistic of course, but they're 9-4 against them (with only six left to play) and .500 against the rest of the league. They're just a decentish team across the board that went bonkers in May and is trying to hold on. Brewers last year were similar = hot start to the season, just needed to hold on in the second half, and completely fell apart. Twins are a different, better team with younger talent and just got a jolt with Santana coming back, but in that division, it's gonna be tough.

I am unspeakably happy that the shitass Barves don't have a final vote candidate. My timeline is insufferable when they do.

During his disastrous year with the Braves, I gave him the nickname FUGA. You can figure out what that means. I hate Jeremy Maclin, and always will...because of a damn punt return he took to the house in the 2008 Alamo Bowl that shouldn't have happened. KICK THE DAMN BALL OUT OF BOUNDS

The Tigers are closer to last place in the AL Central than first place. Yeah...could be a loooooong winter for them. I'd seriously consider trading Cespedes and Price if they're still scuffling after the break. Shit farm system, lots of payroll tied up for the next three years, very tough division....kind of reminds me of Boston a year ago.
